When tomorrows become todays and todays become yesterdays
And when we stop measuring love
By their counterparts death and hate
and start measuring it by the days we spend together, not apart.
The times we laugh
The times we cry
The when we don't know what to do but sit there and look into each other's eyes.
Is when love and life become sacred and meaningful
How is it that a mother can love her child the moment they are born
But it takes years to love people we've known for decades.
When the old because new, and the used becomes primed
That's the day when my perspective changes.
When my view of the world becomes askewed
I want people to think in a way of light
To where when things go wrong they look at good
And when people do wrong, the give second chances.
Death and hate shouldn't measure life and love.
But really the other way around.
the more we focus on making life better, than getting rid of the bad.
or we try to stop death, or just let it happen.
To some people death just means the end of life,
To others it's the realization that everyone has their time
