 There was yet another explosion of sparklydust from the nest high in the rafters, followed by a laugh and a few feathers drifting after the mess. Jackson had not meant that to happen, but hey, a catapult was... interesting. If not something that would endear her to most. The Coffee colored pidge shoved that thought into the back of her mind with a mutter, her grin fading slightly. Not that it mattered.
None of it mattered, really, except seeing things work properly.... If they wanted to dislike her, the stuffy-pidge could. She had no time for that. Right? Right. Now, back to work on those chick-harnesses. After all, it was breeding season, and the little bugs might totter right out of the nest if not kept close.

He shook his head and scrabbled to take off, probably landing near the source of the explosion. "I w-was worried. I th-thought you'd exploded yourself f-for a second there." Didn't make much sense when he thought about it, how could a pidge laugh when they'd been exploded? Ghost-pidge? Goodness, that would be scary. "I d-don't think we can e-explode though." Because it would be messy and horrifying and very, very impolite for somepidge to explode in the middle of a conversation. Not that he conversed often.

There was another laugh as the inventor's head popped out of her slightly cluttered workshop/nest. She eyed the slate pidge for a moment, still grinning. "No, no exploding. It's not exactly my forte, the exploding. I could point you to someone who it is if you'd like... Poof."
The coppery bits of her inking flickered a bit in the small, brightly colored lights that had been set up around her nest as she straightened up the mess she's caused, a few pieces if yarn draped over one wing. ".... I did not accidentally make a chickee catapult. Nope, nope."

He simply shook his head at the offer. No, no exploding for him. No way. Would rather stick do doing things that were nice and quiet. Although, the catapult gave him a few very interesting ideas.
"It could be an other things catapult, too." Overlook tilted his head to one side, slightly ruffling his feathers. He often did that when he was sure of an idea. It made most pidge look bigger, but it just made him look silly. "Could make a game out of it, even. Make two, have two teams, both of them trying to hit a target with something. ...Not with a chick, of course. Something round. But not as hard as a rock, because that could hurt somepidge." It would have to be sort of solid though, else it wouldn't go anywhere. Yeah, yeah that sounded like it could be fun. Slightly dangerous, but fun nonetheless. Oh, he was such a hypocrite.
