So summer's here, what's everyone up to? Any trips planned? Working all summer? Is it hot where you live or has it been a rainy, dull summer so far?
I'm working almost all summer more or less by myself in my department, since everyone's slowly leaving for their holidays... I get my two weeks off at the beginning of August, so I still have one more month to go. I'm going to Stockholm with a friend of mine for 3-4 days on my holiday, which'll be fun!
We had a few really hot days at the beginning of June (30C = 86F), which was really unusual. Then we had a few weeks of regular June weather with normal temperatures of around 20C (68F) and some rain. This week the temperatures are rising again and Friday and Saturday are supposed to be record breakingly hot days. Again. I'm really not looking forward to a summer like last year when morning temperatures were 28C (83F) and afternoon temperatures were 35C (95F). D: Finland is not supposed to be as hot as Spain in the summer. These temperatures are fricking crazy! mad

I have more plans for fall than I do summer. In fact, I wish fall would hurry up and get here.
The only plans I have is to hopefully go to some sort of theme park, water park, etc. And perhaps go up to New Hampshire and explore some of the caves they have up there. Thats about it.

We've got plans to go to NYC and maybe Washington and Boston.
rofl I still am amazed at the brilliancy of US intelligence services. They believe I worked as medical doctor before 2003. rofl

Well I live in Florida so it's always hot and rainy. Other than that I've been getting time away from school. I don't really do much else besides playing video games and studying all day xd

So, we're all set up with tickets and hotels.
Now, fellow American friends, please get me the weather I want. No rain, please.

Thats great that everyones been having an eventful time. 3nodding
all summer all I've done is work, work, work, work, and work. Whether it be the job the pays, or working on music, yard work, etc. No fun for me, only work. Worse summer ever, yet, I'm happy the way things are going, well, content anyways.

Pretty nice. We were doing some 10+ miles (or 15+ km) a day walking around cities. Thing most suprising? There are more churches (as in buildings) in US than there are in Rome. And after visiting National Mall in Washington I once again ensured myself of the idea behind USA: to become the worldwide empire. Enough to look at the architecture wink .

It's probably because there's too many church organizations. You'd find episcopal, church of christ-scientist, catholic and a few others standing next to each other. In Rome (or Poland) that'd be just roman-catholic churches so one is enough for a neighbourhood. But it's still surprising.
No, this time we didn't do any rollercoaster. However, I operated the elevator that takes you to the 102nd floor of Empire State building xd

I still have yet to visit New York, I've been through it on my way to Virginia but never really visited. I want to see the Empire State building. I've also always wanted to go to Coney Island.

Well, yeah. Coney Island sounds a bit of fun. But it was hard to visit everything in a few days.
