 KATON Ninjutsu (忍術; Literally meaning "Ninja Techniques"), is a term referring to almost any technique which allows the user to do something that they otherwise would be incapable of doing.
Below you will find a list of Various Katon (Fire) Style techniques/Jutsu. They Range anywhere from E Ranked Jutsu, all the way up to S Ranked, and Hiden Techniques.

E Rank - Katon: Flame Jutsu
With a few basic hand signs the user is able to create a small flame in their hand that can be thrown at an enemy or held to emit light.
E Rank - Katon: Fire Palm Technique
With a few basic hand signs the user is able to cover their hand in fire, by adding more chakra the user is then allowed to push the flames towards the an intended target.

D Rank - Katon: Komakai Kaki (Small Fire)
The user inhales after a series of hand signs and then spews a small fireball about the size of soccer ball.
D Rank - Katon: Kasai Tacchi [Fire Release: Fire Touch Technique]
This jutsu utilizes the fire element. The user concentrates heat into their hands, and by placing it on an inanimate object for a few moments the object heats up to the point it bursts into flames. The amount of chakra and time it take depends on the size and it cannot be larger then the user.
D Rank - Katon: Flare Jutsu
The user gathers chakra into palm of their hands, after clapping their hands together a hot white flash erupts from their hands that is capable of blinding people in the closest vicinities. With this acting as a diversion, the user is able to make a hasty escape or even move in for a killing blow.

D Rank - Katon: Hotsuba [Fire Release: Fire Spit]
The user would spit a small flame from their mouth to help ignite anything that is flammable.
D Rank - Kesu [Extinguish]
Taught as a basic technique for safety reasons, the user is able to focus chakra to slowly dissipate flames. While using this technique, the user is unable to activate any other jutsu. Often used to protect the user, strong flames will still cause burns. This jutsu takes a decent amount of time to work.
D Rank - Katon: Endan [Fire Release: Flame Bullet]
This technique is executed by the user gathering oil in their mouth which is created by chakra, spitting it out, and igniting it. This technique simply shoots a flame bullet at the enemy.
D Rank - Katon: Hibashiri [Fire Release: Running Fire]
This technique creates a stream of fire that can be manipulated into several forms (so far, rings of fire that runs on the ground or a circle of fire flying through the air) before striking the target.

D Rank - Katon [Fire Release: Fire Flash Jutsu]
The user sparks a flame in a short breath, the fire quickly goes out but the intensity put behind the breath makes the fire burn white hot and sends out a blinding light. This technique is used for distractions and ways to evade opponents.
D Rank - Katon [Fire Release: Flame Flower]
The user shoots a fireball into the sky, it explodes and small burning pedals rain down upon the area.

C - A Rank - Katon Renkeijutsu: Karura (Co-operation Technique:Garuda)
One or more users each breathe a long stream of intense fire, which combine to form a flaming dragon. This jutsu's power increases for every user up to three that use it. Meaning that it is more powerful as a collaboration jutsu.
C Rank - Katon: Gokakyu no Jutsu [Fireball Jutsu]
After using handseals, the user must first gather chakra into his hand and mouth. The mouth then shoots out fire and one hand is placed just out of the lips to control it into one intensely hot fireball. This attack is similar to a huge devastating flamethrower.
C Rank - Katon: Hosenka no Jutsu [Phoenix Flower Jutsu]
This Katon ninjutsu is a very flexible technique. Housenka begins with creating many small fireballs from the user's mouth, and shooting them at a single or multiple opponents in one strike. These projectiles either can be shot either fast in the same direction, or slow in a rotating formation. Basically, the ninja controls everything, from the strength, and path of the fireballs (Relatively), to the speed they travel towards the target.
C Rank - Katon: Houka Tate [Fire Release: Fire Shield]
This jutsu may be used for offence of defense. The user concentrates katon chakra into his/her hand then manipulates it to take form of a flaming shield with the hand in the center.This jutsu is effective at blocking taijutsu attacks, and will end up burning the opponent if he comes in contact with it. Metal projectiles can pass through the shield easily.
C Rank - Katon: Boku no Enmu [Release: Haze Weapon]
The user utilizes his fire chakra and then creates jets of fire which will race towards his target and surround him or he can generate a rotating ring made of fire which he will launch towards his target. It can be used in combination with a wind jutsu to make the attack more powerful.
C Rank - Katon: Haisekishou [Fire Release: Burning Ash Accumulation]
After forming the needed handseals, the user will expel an ash from their mouth. This large cloud begins to envelope their foe.
C Rank - Katon: Jiraigen [Fire Release: Minefield]
After several handseals, the user will place his or her hand on the ground. Wherever the user touches with his or her hand, a bit of their chakra is left behind. Should any object touch the ground within a close range of the mines, the area will detonate into a small explosion. The user can maximally place five mines per use of this jutsu.
C Rank - Katon: Kasai no Ame [Fire Release: Rain of Fire Technique]
This is a jutsu utilizing the fire element. The user performs a few seals and begins concentrating chakra into his hands. Eventually he will manipulate it into a ball of fire completely surrounding both hands, and then fired into the air. The two fireballs will collide and then split into 10-20 separate fireballs which will proceed to rain down on the area as commanded by the user.
C Rank - Katon: Neppa [Fire Release: Heat Wave]
After a few handseals the user concentrates chakra in his hands then slaps them together and splits them apart releasing chakra resulting in a painful wave of heat towards his target.
C Rank - Katon Waiya [Fire Release Wire]
The user sends a small stream of fire along a length of cord or other similar object. This does not require the user of handseals.
C Rank - Katon: Hotaru Ryouiki [Firefly Regime]
Causes the fireflies summoned by Hotaru to explode in tiny fiery balls on their opponent. While only nuisances in themselves, they can deal a quite staggering amount of damage if the entire swarm blows up together.
C Rank - Katon: Kasumi Enbu no Jutsu [ Mist Blaze Dance Technique ]
The user is able to create and blow a flammable gas from their lungs. Once it comes in contact with fire or spark, the gas ignites into a large fireball.
C Rank - Katon: Dai Endan [ Big Flame Bullet ]
This technique is a altered version of the Fire Release: Flame Bullet. The user fills their mouth cavity with oil. This oil is then expelled and at the same time ignited, which creates a giant flame, equivalent to multiple Flame Bullets.
C Rank - Katon: [ Blazing Shuriken Dance ]
The user throws chakra formed shuriken, these shuriken will follow the target until stopped, the upside is that each shuriken created from the charka are infused with fire.

C Rank - Katon: Ho Bunshin no Jutsu [ Fire Clone Technique ]
This is a Ninjutsu technique that utilizes fire to create a Bunshin clone. Also, elemental clones can think, but only on the rudimentary level, and the concentration for their jutsu needs to be maintained by the user. When this clone disperses, it reverts into an eruption of flames.
C Rank - Katon: Bakufū Ranbu [ Blast Wave Wild Dance ]
A technique where chakra kneaded inside the body is converted into fire, and then expelled from the mouth in a continuous stream of flames, which spirals outwards, creating a massive fire vortex.

B Rank - Katon: Enkou Tou [Flame Release: Flame Tower]
After doing a series of handseals, the user slams his palms down to the ground. The impact then appears to cause turbulence under the dirt as it afterward explodes into a fountain of fire that moves ahead towards the target. The fountain is high enough to be described a tower (like a watchtower), and it can move according to the user's will but only ahead and veering to the sides, it can't revert back. Once the tower of blaze hits anything with enough mass as a person, it will discharge in a blast, and blow them/it back with new agonizing burns.
B Rank - Katon: Boukaheki no Jutsu (Fire Release: Fire Wall Technique)
By performing a few seals, the user can exhale a steady stream of fire creating a wall in front of them and partially surrounding them. It's capable of evaporating water and low level Suiton jutsu, and used as a great defense against physical strikes.
B Rank - Katon: Houka [Fire Release: Rocket]
After performing the needed handseals, the user would open their mouth a ball of fire will shoot out their mouth with great speed and will burst into a bigger flame when it hits the target.
B Rank - Katon: Inferuno Gufuu [Fire Release: Inferno Tornado]
This technique technique is performed with a few handseals. The user can then releases katon chakra and concentrate it to form and launch a tornado of fire, setting everything in its path ablaze. This requires an adept amount of chakra, with which the user can make a tornado twice his size..
B Rank - Katon: Kaen Torappu [Fire Release: Flame Trap]
After performing a set of hand seals, the user rubs both hands up together and then places their hands on the ground. Once this is complete, a sea of flames surrounds the enemies and entraps them in this ‘prison’ from which they will be unable to escape from unless they are willing to take life threatening burns. In order for this jutsu to be maintained, the user must always have their hands on the ground and be constantly supplying chakra to the prison.
B Rank - Katon: Kasai no Kakuchou [Flame Release: Fire Extension]
After finishing the handseals, the user will be able to strike empty air, and simultaneously, a fiery version of his fist or kick will be created where his target is, striking at them.
B Rank - Katon: Re-Za [Fire Release: Laser]
This is a ranged jutsu for katon users. This technique was developed to give them some range. Chakra is forced into the point of attack of their body. Afterward it is blasted out in a heat laser. The attack fires in a 90 degree spread. The start to this attack is slow because it requires a charging time of one post. But it then after being fired moves at incredible speed. This increases in strength by shrinking the size of the attack but focuses in the chakra weakening the wave on range. This technique burns using the energy of the chakra. And has a range of 30 ft.
B Rank - Katon: Honoo Sude [Fire Release: Blazing Hands]
After the user performs the necessary hand seals, their hands heat up and then burst into flames. The flames do not harm the user, but provide a great advantage at hand to hand combat, and is quite useful in nature. [Lasts for 7 posts]

A Rank - Katon: Exploding Fireworks
After doing the correct hand signals the user molds enough fire chakra in their hand creates a series of multicolored sparks. It looks like a sparkler that kids play with. Despite looking friendly and somewhat humorous, this jutsu is not to be taken lightly. The sparks are superheated and concentrated, easily capable of causing second to third-degree burns. Once connecting with a target via punch, palm, or claw, the sparks engulf the target and violently explode like fireworks, capable of leaving a crater can setting anything in the immediate area on fire.
A Rank - Arashi no Hinote [Firestorm]
The user performs the needed handseals, sending katon chakra to their hands and hurling it into the air in the form of two massive fireballs. Upon collision in the air, they turn into several hundred smaller fireballs, covering a massive area.
A Rank - Katon: Enen no Sonata [Fire Release: Blazing Sonata]
This technique was developed by a legendary shinobi, who retired into an occupation as one of the greatest chef's in the land. As the chef's greatest assets were his hands, this technique was devised as a unique style of using ones feet to defend, in a dance like motion. This idea was then improved upon, by focusing chakra into the user’s feet, and then, coupling it with a bit of fire mastery was able to mold the chakra to surround the user’s feet within a controlled fire. Every step fans the fire into the motion's direction, every stomp raises the fires causing it to flare up, every kick sends a penance of fire from the sole, and adding this into a dance causes it to not only defends ones self but by mastering the right steps can make for a very reliable offense.
A Rank - Enka no Youga [Lava Rocket]
After completing the necessary handseals, the user shoots a high-powered stream of lava at his opponent. This jutsu takes a long time to perform, as the user must be extra careful while performing such a dangerous technique.
A Rank - Katon: Hoheki [Fire Release: Flame Wall]
The user summons a flame that comes in between him and his enemy. After stabilized, the user can push the wall at his target.
A Rank - Katon: Kakiryuu no Jutsu [Fire Dragon Technique]
After a long series of handseals, a fire will start near the user. From that fire, a fiery dragon will emerge to assault the target. The dragon has enough force behind it to rip through trees, buildings, etc. to reach it's target. Being such a powerful technique, this jutsu consumes quite a bit of chakra from the user.
A Rank - Karyuu Endan [Flame Release: Fire Wall Attack]
A Katon ninjutsu technique where the ninja inhales deeply, drawing in a full chest of air. They then exhale, producing a very wide stream of flames that approach their target as a huge wall. This technique however uses an extremely large amount of the user's chakra and cannot be used frequently.
A Rank - Onohidama [Massive Fireball]
The user completes the needed handseals before holding their hands in front of them. A fireball will form between their hands, growing rapidly larger. They can then hurl it outward, at which point it will rapidly expand to its full size, which is roughly 40 feet in diameter. This fire burns very hot and disperses violently upon impact.
A Rank - Katon: Napa-mu Dageki [Fire Release: Napalm Strike]
After performing the necessary handseals, the user is able to create to large streams of fire, one from each hand. Each is powerful enough to strike the fire up to fifty feet long, destroying almost anything in its path. Both of these fires are released at the same time so the individual needs to be careful in when choosing its direction.
A Rank - Katon: Ryuuka no Jutsu [Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique]
This Katon ninjutsu is believed to be the one of the strongest jutsu of the Katon series. This ninjutsu however requires a lot of chakra, concentration, and preparation time. A few diverse hand seals are done, and after gathering all the chakra in his mouth, the ninja will create so much flame that a red-hot fire will light up around them. All that chakra is then converted into fire inside the ninja's mouth, and it is all ejected at once, creating an extremely long blaze of fire, going directly to the opponent. This technique is straight, fast, and strong. It is most likely to be used after the enemy has been immobilized, because with such large amounts of chakra being used, most users simply cannot afford to waste it all by missing.
A Rank - Su-pa Nekki [Super Heat]
This jutsu heats up one object hot enough to melt through any material in a single slash. As such, it will go through any indestructible weapon or defense, and will instantly cauterize any flesh it goes through. This jutsu requires no handseals.
A Rank - Katon: Yougan Fi-rudo no Sousaku [Fire Release: Lava Field Creation]
The user performs a series of hand seals than places their hands on the ground. The earth then slowly heats up and changes into molten rock. After execution, the user must immediately remove their hands and back up so as not to be burned. This not only limits where their target can move, but can also burn them if they are standing on it. The amount of area covered depends on the amount of chakra used.
A Rank - Yougatama [Lava Ball]
After a long series of handseals, the user extends both arms towards his opponent. Lava will slowly accumulate in front of the user, til a ball roughly the size of a head is made. The user can then launch the ball at the opponent. This ball of lava will rapidly increase in size to be 6 feet in circumference shortly after being launched. This ball of lava can be launched quite far, almost one hundred meters.

S Rank - Chikei no Naraku no Jutsu [Terrain of Hell Technique]
Description: After a very long series of handseals, the user holds the Dragon seal. As the user stands in one spot, the ground within 100 meters of his or her body will begin to ignite. As larger and larger fires start, they will begin to spread outward from the original location, always traveling away from the user. Eventually, the fires created by this jutsu will become raging infernos, eating away at anything and everything in their path. This jutsu can cause devastation to any environment, as the flames are spread by chakra, and not any type of physical fuel such as grass.
S Rank - Katon: Gouryuuka no Jutsu [Flame Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique]
After forming the needed handseals, the ninja will expel dragon head fireballs at their opponent. These powerful fireballs can punch through concrete or pierce through a forest burning a long line of trees. Being such a powerful and draining jutsu, this technique can only be performed once per battle by the strongest of ninjas.
S Rank - Katon: Kujo Soudai [Fire Release: Grand Destruction]
The user performs a very long series of handseals, and then gathers Katon chakra around his body. For two posts, the user will continue to gather chakra, and after doing so, the user will allow his chakra to rapidly expand, causing a massive explosion, with the force to level nearby buildings. The heat generated from this jutsu is incredibly intense. This explosion affects everything within one mile of it's epicenter, and can be seen for miles around. This jutsu takes about half of the user's chakra, regardless of chakra strengths.
S Rank - Katon: Mori no Ho Kami [Fire Release: Lance of the Fire God]
After a long series of handseals, the user opens his or her mouth. A small ball of flame appears in front of his or her mouth, no larger than a golf ball. A loud whistling sound can then be heard near the user. After a few seconds, the ball will burst forward into a small stream of fire. It bursts forward with enough force to punch holes through trees. The stream extends forward 100 meters before ending it's burst. Once the stream reaches 100 meters, it remains for 3 seconds.
S Rank - Shouheki no Mougi: Kazan Kouken [Infinite Barrier: Volcano Guardian]
One of the most powerful defenses a Katon user can achieve, this jutsu requires perfect stillness from the user. While the user sits still, feeding his chakra into the earth, a ring of land thirty feet from his body will begin to heat up. The ground will literally erupt, throwing lava 100 feet into the air. This jutsu keeps the lava from splashing around, protecting the user from his own impassable walls. This jutsu can be performed indefinitely, so long as the user both stays still and has sufficient chakra. When the user is finished with this jutsu, the lava will fall back down, leaving a ring of melted land around the user..
S Rank - Katon: Yougaryuu no Jutsu [Fire Release: Lava Dragon Technique]
The user performs a long series of jutsu and places his palms on the ground. The ground in front of him will heat up and melt, creating a small pool of lava. From this pool of lava, a dragon will emerge to chase down the target. The dragon has the power behind it to crash through the strongest of defenses, and leaves lava behind on all it touches.
