 With her highschool life abruptly over Aurora Namid had suddenly found herself with a lot more time to do her nightly job. She no longer had to worry about getting up early.. and homework or tests to study for. Sure she'd had summer last year.. but it was somehow different this time. She'd be going to university in the fall true enough, but the hours weren't nearly as restrictive as the boarding school.. not to mention her living situation.
Despite often not getting along with other girls in the dorms she'd become used to always having others around. To roommates and simple dorm rooms. Her new apartment was huge compared.. and she had a feeling it might grow to be far more lonely too.
Needless to say the eternal senshi of magnetism's mind wasn't really on patrolling that night even as she wandered through the darker streets of Destiny City. Like it should have been. If a surge of chaos or light caught her attention she'd likely snap out of it, out of reflex and experience, but for the moment she was quiet and thoughtful, not even really noticing the things that were passing to her left and right. Had she seen another senshi doing the same she might have fussed at them. Hypocrit. Maybe she just needed someone else to light a fire under her ruffly covered bottom.

 Sailor Galatea was not as distracted as the scout she had just noticed. At least, Galatea assumed that the other scout was distracted. It could be a ruse, a way to bait out the enemy...an enemy that she still knew little about, and didn't know how to process their motives.
Curiosity got the better of her, and Galatea slowly approached. She could still be baiting for one of the Negaverse, but Galatea couldn't resist. She rarely went out on patrol herself, and even more rarely crossed paths with another senshi. Normally she was the one needing saving, or just running away from everything.
"Are you...?" she began to ask, but the question disappeared from her mind. She didn't really know what she wanted to ask. She just wanted to talk to someone for once.

"Huh..?" She was abruptly drug from her thoughts by the sound of a voice, head shaking just a little before teal eyes searched for the source. Voices.. thankfully.. were a bit more clear cut and easy to find then power signals.
The senshi she spotted was unfamilar and the timidness in her voice stirred something within the senshi of magnetism. Just like a little girl.. well despite the size. Mothering instincts were not really that hard to stir in Polaris.
"Hello there" She gushed, similar to the way she might a child. Her smile quickly became sheepish but welcoming.
"I'm sorry, I was so out of it.."
"Sailor Polaris, eternal senshi of magnetism" Her white gloved hand was offered out in between them. It slipped her mind that the girl might have actually needed something from her words. It was a senshi she didn't know and introductions were in order!

"Oh!" Galatea felt stupid, but it was nice feeling some semblance of peace instead of 'oh s**t run away'.
"Hi. I'm sorry I'm just...used to running into those that I guess are our enemies." Galatea didn't sound too sure of herself, but well...she had never seen an eternal senshi before! It was easy to sense the power reading when she was so close to her. She gingerly put our her own bare hand to shake with the senshi before her.
"Sailor Galatea, of stone..." she said, still a bit in awe. "I'm sorry if I interrupted you, I've just rarely seen other senshi while I've been out...I couldn't help myself."

"Oh no no no!" She reassured quickly as she shook the other girl's hand briefly, dropping it only to move in a little closer, admiring the other girl's hair style briefly. Polaris was definately a fan of detailed hairstyles. And adorableness or timidness. Timidness was like prey to the occassionally bossy senshi of magnetism.
"It's no bother at all. I very much prefer company. It's so much safer."
"Like you said, those bad guys seem to be absolutely everywhere"
"Are you pretty new to this then Galatea?" She asked curiously, brushing back some loose strands of hair lightly. It kind of seemed that way from the things she'd said but.. it was possible she was just REALLY shy.

Galatea flushed. "Yes and no," she answered cryptically. "I've been awakened for a while...but its terrifying." She paused for a moment, drawing some comfort from being around a senshi with such power. It made her feel reassured that getting past the fear was possible - at least the crippling part of fear. Here was a senshi that was just so much stronger than her. And she wanted to feel that way herself some day.
"I'm working on getting past the fear, so you can say that I'm finally getting my feet wet." She knew she had missed a lot of events, even though she had felt the pull of them...but now she wasn't going to run anymore.
Unless a Negaverse agent popped its head out of the ground. Then she wouldn't make any promises!

Terrifying? While she could relate that it was indeed.. sometimes scary out here... the thought of hiding away just because she was scared was a bit of stretch for the senshi of magnetism. Really she wanted to open her mouth and guilt the other senshi into doing her job.. to point out how many people had probably been hurt because she had been too worried about herself. It was at the tip of her lips but somehow she kept it back. If only because she was certain the little senshi would flee the moment she did, and probably stay hidden for another long stint.
She went a different route however. Reassuring instead. Bolster her confidence hopefully.. maybe.
"It can be really scary if you're out on your own.. but I find as long as you're partnered with someone it makes it a lot easier. You can look out for each other and won't get yourself into as much trouble."
"Do you have a team.. or some friend senshi you can patrol with?"

Galatea let out a small smile. It was a bit pitiful, but she knew that she was easy to see through.
"No. But...I'm starting to make connections. Which I guess is why I approached you. Just to see where you stand on all..." She stretched her arms out, gesturing to everything around them. It was a quiet night right now, but she hoped that the point still go across. "Well, all of this."
She folded her arms back up in front of her, one arm clasped over the other. "I'm learning as I go, and I'm hoping that'll make me stronger."
The senshi paused for a moment, then added on (as a compliment, of course): "As strong as you are, I'm sure."

No? She hadn't been expecting that! With the huge influx of new senshi around it was hard to believe she hadn't run into many others. But then.. perhaps she was just unlucky. Perhaps even the sort of unlucky that ran her into their enemies often. No wonder she was so scared! The poor poor dear!
"That's a good way to start" She admitted, giving Galatea an approving nod. "You should be safe enough approaching anyone that gives off good energy like us. That's what I try to do too. Meet up with any light energy I happen across."
"And knowledge is definately power in this war! Without it there are a lot of senshi running around making the same mistakes over and over."
The compliment gained a pleased smile from Polaris, offering back a polite response. "I'm sure one day you will be."
"Where I stand though..." It was a strange sentence, one that came back to her mind even after it'd come and gone. "What really do you mean by that?" Was the senshi of stone really that in the dark about everything? Hadn't the cat that awakened her clued her in? Her expression wasn't a mean one, really if anything it looked a little sheepish for not exactly grasping the other girl's words.

Galatea flushed. "W-well, I've just got my own conflicted feelings with the Negaverse. Are they really our enemies? Is there something more? It's just silly things that I'm not sure I can get a real answer for. Ah, well, at least they certainly don't seem like the talkative type." And she had her own share of scrapes and bruises to prove it.
She was feeling a little more reassured with what Polaris was saying, though. Practice, practice. She just was really getting it drilled in her head that she needed a real partner or two, so she wouldn't be alone anymore.

"Oh! Of course." Her expression was sheepish as the other girl explained. Really she should have figured it out herself, and she rubbed the top of her head lightly with one gloved hand. "It's a real tricky question sometimes, especially when you don't have much experience"
Beckoning the girl to come and walk with her, she waited softly, begining to babble thoughtfully. "I think that there may be some okay people in the negaverse. Things are never entirely black and white. Sometimes you get sucked into something and it's hard to dig your way out."
"But as a whole the negaverse is bad news. They are the bad guys and we are the good guys. They might try to convince you otherwise with all sorts of things but if you ever begin to question yourself remember this one thing."
"All of the people of earth are just here.. trying to live their lives.. and the negaverse hunts them for their energy and their life force. They sick monsters onto the public without a care how many people suffer. Buildings destroyed.. lives taken. I saw with my own eyes an elementary school go under attack. Innocent children were killed and the teachers and adults who tried to simply protect them."
"Our whole purpose here as senshi is to protect everyone from the damage that the negaverse or any other forces of evil do. Sometimes us senshi have to do hard things and fight battles we don't want to but we are only attacking the attackers. Not the innocent bystanders. Not people who cannot defend themselves."
It was obvious she was adament in her words, though her face softened a little when she'd finished, offering a soft smile.
"Always approach them as if they'll kill you. You will be pleasantly surprised on rare occassions to find civil ones.. but you are better safe then sorry. And in the end.. as nice as they might be, they are still on the side of evil."

She shivered. "So those monsters are from them..." She spoke quietly, as if to herself. It confirmed her suspicions, but ones that she didn't want to see realized. That means that they were bad business. So much so that Galatea was going to have to toughen up if she really wanted to stay alive.
"So much to take in," she began. "But your information is amazing." Sure, some of it had her opinions in it, but it was much more to work from than what the senshi of stone had on her own.
"Yes...I've noticed that they only seem to want my death." She had never been one to attack first - part of it being her powers, and part of it that she had no idea what she had been in the middle of. Now with what Polaris said she knew that she had to be more careful. Defensive.
It was really time to start working with partners, instead of alone.
"Thank you so much, Polaris," Galatea said with a soft smile, and she really really meant it. "I don't feel like I'm stuck in the middle of the ocean anymore."

The senshi of magnetism nodded softly, almost apologetic to be the bearer of such bad news. But it was important news, and luckily enough the other girl seemed to take it that way, the other girl might be timid, but cautiousness was never a bad trait. In fact, it was one that most senshi lacked. Polaris included in that list.
Shifting on her feet her expression shifted as well, offering a soft smile as she was thanked. It was sad that something so simple could really be worth so much, but more and more it seemed their ranks were being let out without a whisper of warning. "I'm happy to help, we're all allies in this war"
Extending her hand lightly her phone suddenly appeared in her ivory glove, motioning softly. "If you'd like to trade information we could. I don't know everything but.. I try to keep an eye on things. I might be able to answer questions you might have in the future."
"Or if you ever run into trouble and need some backup"
