[align=left][b][size=14][color=#444444]HEROES, UNMASKED[/color][/size][/b][color=white] Does anyone really know what a super hero is? The common answer would be ‘someone with super powers’ but that is not all that makes a hero. Everyday, living in Crantel, we see men and women swooping through the sky; stopping fires, halting robberies and kissing babies. We look up at them and wish that we had been born so lucky as to be able to be like them. If only we had super strength or laser vision. But you don’t need to be super powered to be a hero, and you don’t need to rescue damsels to help people. Heroes are not just the people in spandex, they are the people who work toward making our world better. What sets them apart from us is the initiative; the motivation to get out there and do something good. Taking the time to make sure you dispose of your trash in a bin, give assistance to the elderly, or hold the door open for a woman with a stroller are just as important in the fight to make Crantel a better place. Daphne was born the younger of two girls to a happy family in Crantel. She want to public school and ran with the popular crowd. In middle and high school she played on she school's basketball team and was the captain for both her junior and senior years. When she graduated however her priorities changed and she turned down an out of town basketball scholarship to attend the journalism program at GCU (Greater Crantel University) the top school in the city. She was a strong writer was a knack spinning unconventional angles on big news stories. After graduating she went to work for the Daily Cant but a constant difference of opinion with the editor made staying there impossible. Instead she works freelance and writes her own news blog in the interlude.  o o o o o o o o ( personality )
Daphne is dedicated to her work, often to the expense of her familial and social relationships. She comes off as much your typical intrepid reporter, always snooping around where she doesn't belong. Daphne is pretty relaxed and outgoing, she has a quick tongue and uses it liberally. She is always ready with a joke or a witty comment and is most often found with a smirk on her lips. When 'on the job' she tries to stay below the radar, if the mission can be completely stealthily that would be her first choice, but if the situation calls for it she is not above getting her hands dirty. Recently she has been doing a lot of solo work but her history in team sports suggests that she wouldn't be completely useless in a group situation.o o o o o o o o ( appearance )
Daphne has a body built for spandex; she has long slender limbs and a shapely figure. Her blond hair is straight cut and falls to her butt when not tied back. She has a pretty but unremarkable face with bright sea-blue eyes and thin lips. She never, ever, wears her hair in a plain ponytail but she will wear it up in intricate knots, braided ponytails, or low-tied ponytails. (She has also been known to rock the occasional pair of pigtails.) Clothing wise she;ll wear just about anything (and often does). When she needs to look professional she usually wears high waisted slacks and colourful blouses, when she needs to fit in with some underworld slickers she'll throw on a pair of booty shorts and a shirt with a low neckline. Casually, she wears what ever is on top of the clean clothes pile.
