The outline is excellent. You did a great job on the outline. If you worked on shading, then it will look so much more professional. =D You can check out the tutorial list for all your drawing needs. Here is a specific link to a great hair shading tutorial.

It really just looks like a brown blob. Try adding more natural-looking strands.

Erich McBrian It really just looks like a brown blob. Try adding more natural-looking strands. Well not everyone draws realistically, nor strand by strand... And some people draw that way, and it looks like hair.. plus, I drew it with a mouse, so I can't really draw much "natural-looking" things... and as I said, i followed a tutorial, and it said nothing about strands.... And, I just suck at hair no matter what I try... i don't even know why I'm still trying anyway... o.e

If you're going to make up excuses for all the faults in your work, you might as well not ask for critique at all.

If you're going to make up excuses for all the faults in your work, you might as well not ask for critique at all. So, are you the only one allowed by law to make harsh remarks? I mean, after all the OP was just giving some sort of reasoning to why it may have looked like that, also he most likely didn't even "make it up" either. I mean saying "It really just looks like a brown blob." Is kind of harsh, don't you think? You could have been a little kinder with your words or at least took his response better. "If you can't take what you can dish out" comes to mind. Critiques aren't just saying hey it looks like s**t. You need to state how the person can improve on reaching their intended result. Now you may say "I said add more realistic strands". Which in its entirety is very vauge to begin with.
