I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Hoshi Lockhart
Pixie's Name: Adaeze ['King's daughter']
Personality: Adaeze is new to the role of leader of an entire herd. Thus it should go without saying she lacks many of the qualities the others possess. Still rather timid in nature, she's still learning to raise her voice above the near whisper it usually is. Her father and his adviser had been teaching her the kinds of things she would need to know to guide the herd in the future, when it was time to pass the torch onto the first born. Speaking loudly wasn't something they had been focusing on as much as they probably should have, given the circumstances that she was now alone and had the voice befitting her small size. There had been so much she needed to learn, they were leaving that for last.
However, despite her small size, Adaeze is a very determined little mare. Most people in the herd had doubts about her taking over after her father, some voicing out loud the role should have beeen given to her younger sister, who was nearly the spitting image of their strong father. Adaeze tried her best not to listen to these outbursts. As difficult as it could sometimes be for her. Aside from being timid, she was a little insecure. She had a habit of listening to what others said about her and letting it shape the way she saw herself. It was something she had been struggling with ever since she was a tiny foal. Sometimes this lead her to being a bit naive, especially when someone told her they had a good idea on how she could do her leader role easier. Or advice for her. She regretted not listening as closely to her father and his adviser like she should have, and was now paying for it by barely being able to remember what he had taught her.
A tomboy in the past, she is trying to be more feminine, with the aid of the delicate pink scarf around her neck. She can be impatient, liking things to come to her quickly. Patience was never her strong trait. This is one of the many things she is trying to teach herself. But it is lonely to do this by herself. Adaeze craves attention above all else, being a little too eager to try and make friends. She's a people pleaser. In a strange new world, this will without a doubt get her into trouble. She has a long way to go to earn her leader wings. Every day since her father's passing, she tries her very best to be the very best her little self can be.
(Inspiration for Adaeze is Play On, by Carrie Underwood. The song came on while I was thinking about this girl. Fit exactly what I wanted to do, so I thought I'd share. <3)
Prompt Response: As her hooves touched down onto the unfamiliar grass, Adaeze stomped them around a few times. She had the sudden urge to frolic like a little filly. With the aid of the other leaders, she had finally done what her father had dreamed of doing for so many long years:Moving the herd to the distant lands of Kawani. He believed it would be for the best. The Pixie's needed a change of pace. To gain more experience about the different types of creatures and plants that inhabited this wide world. Not stay coped up where they had been for hundreds of years. He spook especially of the creatures like the Pixies and the other breeds from their homeland. Said to tower over them all, even the tallest of them. Adaeze couldn't help but be excited to see these with her own two blue eyes. They must be magnificent.

Around her neck, the little bell chimed with the Pixie's stomping. A few others gave her a strange side glance, and she stopped her actions, standing still just on the edge of the Kawani grass. Just like pushing on the cheeks of a little foal holding their breath until the air left their mouths, the previous good humor of the mare rapidly declined. They still didn't think she could do it. They didn't believe she could have without the help from the other leaders. So many others had began to join in with the negativity towards her.

All these older leaders. So secure in their positions. No one looking at them with doubt or expecting them to fail miserably. It made her feel more insecure than she had ever before in her life. Their groups looked up to them for guidance like a proper leader's people should. And they had the confidence she so wished she could bring forth from her inner being. More so those Quilin siblings. She wished she could look as regal and sure of herself as they did.

The Imp stallion was so fiery and powerful looking. What was she? More cute than anything. The delicate pink around her neck didn't help any. There was nothing intimidating about her. Unlike all the other leaders.

Sighing heavily, Adaeze dropped her head until her nose nearly touched the grass. She tried so hard to make everyone proud. To make her father proud. She could see the doubt in his eyes when he taught her. When he had been alive, she hadn't been as attentive as she should have been with his teachings. In truth, she never had wanted to lead an entire herd. For most of her life, she had wished he would just give up on her and start teaching her younger sister. Adannaya had everything she needed to be a good leader. All Adaeze had wanted to do was play. But her mother had always told her to listen to her father. It would be for her own good. She believed her little daughter could become just as great a leader as her father if she tried her best to listen and practice what he taught her.

Remembering her mother made Adaeze's eyes drift to the bell around her neck. She'd always been kind of a boy. More a boy than a girl. She should have been born as a boy, for all the rough play and dirt she seemed to enjoy getting into. It bothered her slightly when her peers would tease her for being the daughter of their leader, the next heir. For someone born into such royalty, she certainly didn't act the way they'd expect a little princess to. On one of those days, she had taken what they said a little too much to heart, as was custom for her. Setting her aside, her mother had given her the yellow bell. She told Adaeze that, no matter how she acted, she was still a little princess. Her mother had a bell around her neck her own mother had given her when she was feeling less like a lady one day.

The delicate pink of the scarf made Adaeze feel more feminine than she ever had. The meaning behind it she had understood at once. The soft little chime of the bell soothed her with it's gentle sound. Her mother had always believed in her.

The blue eyes moved back to scan over the other equines around her. The skin narrowed around the brightly colored iris'. Snorting, she tossed her head back up, being sure to keep it high and proud. No more of that. She had had enough of letting everyone else get to her. This was a new land. A fresh start for her. She had to hold her head up high and remember the teachings of her father and his adviser. Whether anyone liked it or not, including her, she was leader, now. Adannaya had forfeited any rights to that claim, so she was now all they had. And she would make sure everyone soon came to realize she was going to be the best damn leader they've ever seen!

Scanning the area, her eyes settled on a blue form to her left. The Putti leader. He looked the least scary of the others. Rather friendly, in fact. If there was no better place to start, it was with him. Even the Nixie she found a little intimidating.

Taking a deep breath, Adaeze forced a smile on her face as she trotted over to where he stood.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Lepleuradon
Pixie's Name: Ece Hine ( 'Daughter - Queen' ) Often shortened to just Ece.

Personality: Ece was once a lot more carefree then she can come off as today. mainly because she wasn't initially raised to become the new leader of her herd. Ece was the second oldest of her parent's foals. She had an amazing older brother, Emyr, who was being trained to take over the herd once their father was too old to oversee them. However, always the cautious type her father also say that she was trained under her brother. As were her even younger siblings, although the actual intensity of the training died down with each younger sibling. Therefore, Ece always had plenty of time to goof off around the herd.

Ece was always a well loved foal to be seen out amongst the herd. She loved to think she could help people and often times just got in the way when she was younger. However, she eventually grew into a useful young mare. She had learned to really help others, and how to interact well with the rest of her herd. She grew close to several people, although there was always a voice in the back of her head that was telling her people only liked her so much because she was the daughter of their leader. And could possibly, one day, become there's. At the time, Ece had no doubt that that would never happen. Her brother would take over the herd, find a lovely mate, and produce more heirs.

However, after her father's death, Emyr was only in charge of the herd for a full 8 months before a tragic accident took his life. Ece went from being a nice little scenic touch in the herd, to being their new leader. And she soon found out that she had been right, no one had really expected her to become a leader. Let alone so soon in her life. She was still young compared to the leader's the herd had been used to for so long. And Ece also realized she had paid attention to her lessons as well as she should have.

Still, she accepted the family token of the bell around her neck, and took up her role as leader. She was a bit timid at first, but was fast to pick up on the fact she needed to be more assertive in order to have her herd listen to her all the time. It took some time, but she's at least mostly respected among her own herd. However, she's still a bit timid around all the other herd leaders. You'll always find her with her head held high though, she tries hard not to let anyone see her insecurities. However, she still catches herself second guessing her own actions at times.

Prompt Response: Ece had to admit, it had been a bit of a challenge to move the herd as she had. But like the other herds, she was ready for a change of pace and new land to roam. They had so much to learn in the new Kawani lands and so far Ece honestly hadn't doubted her decision to move. The herd seemed to be taking the change quite nicely as well, man had come up to her and expressed their thoughts about their happy move. However, a few still seemed to be wary. Probably wondering how their leader would handle such a drastic change. She had never had to move before in her life, her old home had been her home her whole life until now.

She still had her advisor to go to for advice, but in the end Ece had managed to smooth the transition over nicely with her herd. Still, she hadn't gained enough courage to approach the other herd leaders on a regular basis. The all just seemed to regal to her, so real and confident in themselves. Would she one day be as confident as them? She was by far the youngest of them all, and definitely the smallest in stature as well.

Some of them were down right intimidating, especially the oldest of them all. The Nymph leader may not have ever noticed before, but Ece often looked up to the elder to guidance. Never so boldly as to actually seek advice from the other female, but simply watching and learning from a distance. She had been around long before Ece was even born and it was obvious that her years of wisdom gave her the respect of the whole herd.

What could it take to be as confident and respect as her? Had the Nymph leader ever been like Ece? Young and vulnerable? It seemed so hard to imagine the Nymph leader as ever being so unsure of herself. So, Ece contented herself with observing her from afar and when they did speak she tried to hold her head up high and seem as confident as possible.

She couldn't help but think sometimes she was trying to hard to look like a tough leader. After all, she had never caught their eldest leader looking unimportant or wise. The elder just had a natural grace about her, that Ece could notice in a few of the other leaders as well.

One of these days, she hoped she would be able to talk to the other leaders without feeling so small. However, she hadn't once felt like she wasn't part of the group. She was always careful to interact with them on equal footing, while trying not to over step boundaries at the same time. To them, she probably seemed like the easiest to step around and simply forget about.

But, if there was something she thought was important to the herd and was being ignored, she could speak up. After all, she was a leader. And in order to be on the same equal setting as the others, she had to act like one. Still, this was all so new to her...

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Pixie's Name: Miette (French name meaning "Small sweet thing".)
Personality: Mellifluous - Because of her young nature in such a strong leadership role, she is often very calm, quiet and observant. She hardly has any form of a temper threshold, so it's very rare that she will ever get angry or upset. She likes to listen to everyone's side and come up with a happy medium for any issue. She loves children and is frequently found walking or playing with them whenever she has free time. Only every once in a while will she consider time for herself in which she will offer to accompany a scouting group around the grounds.

She knows only so much about being a leader and is silently afraid that she'll never be able to follow in the same hoof-steps as her mother who led the Pixies before her. For this reason, she often consults with some of the older members of the herd, or contemplates confronting the other leaders as a way of learning more about the role than she currently knows.

She's still silently battling her inner turmoil for the recent and nearly unexpected loss of her mother. However, she does have a decent head upon her shoulders and knows better than to dwell on the past too much.
Prompt Response:
Miette looked over a small ledge that looked over the whole of her new 'Kingdom' as it were. It still baffled her that she was now the one that everyone looked up to for the day to day decisions. Her tiny butterfly wings gave a soft gentle flutter in the breeze as she reflected on their journey to the new land. Her mother had started the journey with them, but died somewhere along the way leaving her to take over with little to no experience in the matter.

She bit back tears as she thought of her mother. A Pixie is better suited for land with soft breezes. They are light and very delicate, often times succumbing to the twisted and cruel mindset of a storm. Their herd had decided to follow closely along a beach for a short while before breaking off towards an inland meadow. Her mother had spotted it weeks before when her and the other leaders had scouted ahead for new ground, decided who would take what, when and where.

They had stopped and took shelter amidst the trees before the storm had hit and her mother had taken a small group to scout ahead to ensure they were on the right path. However, nature generally had its random and unpleasant ways and billowed relentlessly through the area.

When the small group didn't return the next morning, Miette had decided to temporarily take over and continue on the path they were headed. Along the way, soft jingles of a bell attracted their attention to her mother's small group and they were found, badly wounded from being whipped about by the storm. Their wings were even torn and ripped beyond repair from the harsh treatment.

The journey to the new land became slower as they traveled with the now battered members, but sadly the small group perished. Her mother gifted her scarf to Miette before she passed as a way of passing to her the gauntlet, announcing in her last breaths that Miette would take her place as leader.

So now here she was... standing over their new territory and overlooking it - appearing so much like that of a noble leader and yet... she didn't know where exactly to start.

She shook her head, ridding herself of her tears for now. The herd needed her. Her mother gave her this honor, the least she could do is try with all she could to attempt becoming just as good at the title as she had been.

Miette looked over the meadow again, noting that the foals were all in their small but scattered group, chasing and playing with at least two adults to mind them. Good. A pair of Pixies were cleaning out the small den beneath her for shelter against those ravenously windy and stormy days. Also Good. A few others were parading about, willing fresh greens and flowers to grow in their wake. Very good. Fresh food was a must. And she knew there was a pair out along the perimeter, scouting to ensure that their chosen territory would be marked.

So far so good...

Now came the bigger question...
Would they need allies? Should she ask for allies?

She nibbled gently on her lips, unsure of what to do. She never expected to become the new leader so quickly. Her mother had talked that she would start her training to become leader after they had settled in the new land, but the tables had turned...

She thought things over, remembering some things her mother had spoken to her before the journey. The Nymph leader had chosen land nearby to them in the north-west and was considered the oldest and wisest of all the leaders. She looked up at the sky, getting a small idea on which direction to head then made her way down from her small perch. She trotted swiftly, her bell jingling softly about her neck as she moved. She didn't think to stop and let someone know of where she was headed - Pixies, after all - often wandered off for this, that, or the other on a whim. Usually because something had distracted them, much like the thought of talking to another leader had done for her.

She let her hooves do the work, gently carrying her across the terrain towards the North-West for quite some time until she came upon the tall-tell signs of the Nymph's territory. She stood at the boundary of the two regions, eyeing the invisible boundary for a moment before taking a cautious step forward... then another... and another. Once all four hooves were over that line, she took a deep breath and continued on. She silently questioned herself as to why it had been so hard to step over that small line when they had just traveled miles upon miles within the week before...

The sight of a small group of Nymphs came into her view, heading towards her and she pushed the baffling thought out of mind for now. Miette saw the older Nymph leading the scouting group and she stopped. She felt those old, knowledgeable eyes focus upon the scarf about her neck and then silently question the reason as to why Miette now wore it however obvious it was to her that the torch had been passed to this frail and nervous, yet daring soul.

Miette bit her lip again. Never before had she felt so intimidated, scared and nervous all at once. Though, seeing as how she is now the leader, she figured meeting the others would end up happening sooner rather than much later. She felt timid and meek now, but her scarf gave a soft jingle and she regained herself... if only a little...

"I'm... er..." Miette stumbled over her words a bit then shook her head. She quickly thought back to the way her mother used to speak when addressing others formally and used that to help her in this moment. "My apologies in treading upon your lands and surpassing the markings of your boundaries, but..." she looked up at the oldest of the Leaders with some small bit of nervous respect. "... I am in need of your aid. I fear I don't know yet what to do..."

Pixie's Name: Dzann
- Meaning: 'strong , sweet and bright' in Russian

Personality:
From the day she was born, her parents knew she was special. Her parents were two regular minis who gave birth to one basket, one little girl with odd little Flutter wings. They gave her the name of 'Dzann' because those two little mini-parents knew that their little girl would be going places, even if it was without them.

Dzann is a very strong-willed young mare; the ideas she has are very intelligible and if someone where to follow them, they would do them a lot of good. The problem she has with that is sometimes expressing her ideas in words, or getting them out to others. Some say it's a self-confidence issue while others say she just doesn't want to let it out. Neither is true, really, and it lies mostly on the fact that she is still young and learning.

Besides that, she's one of those little ones that will go out of her way to help those in need. For her size, she can't do much, especially if the Soquili is a regular, but for such a small size, she has a big heart. Dzann knows that the weight of the Pixies rest on her shoulders and she knows it is a big responsibility. For herself, she doesn't know if she could handle it now, but for sure, in the long run, she know that she can and will outshine other leaders.

The reason why she is reserved and soft-spoken is because of her parents wanted to quickly bestow leadership on her, being too much for a young filly to handle. They had wanted her to grow and learn from the other herd leaders, so they gave up their precious child in hopes that the herd leaders could teach her and help her grow more than they ever could. But the pressure on little Dzann... It was something that she herself would have to learn to deal with; no one could help her with that. Only with time would she be able to grow and become strong.

Prompt Response:
Dzann used her front left hoof to paw at the ground; it was yet another meeting among the leaders of the mini-herds, and try as she might, Dzann had to admit to herself that she failed, yet again, to get her opinions heard. It wasn't that she was afraid to speak them; it was more so the fact that her voice didn't seem to reach them.

One by one, the other leaders came out of the meeting; she let them pass, with her head bowed, waiting until the Minicorn leader came out. It was with that one other that Dzann could speak her mind to; it was the Minicorn leader that she was learning under.

Normally, the Minicorn leader would have no problem speaking for Dzann, but this time, she held her ground and shook her head. She would get the time for Dzann to speak, but her ideas had to be expressed by herself.

At the next meeting, all the leaders where bickering, some saying that they should stay strong and hold onto their individual cultures. Others would say that they should just choose the Kawani Lands' culture, so that they would better fit into the community. The Minicorn leader Stomped he foot, calling for all the attention to go to what Dzann had to say.

Dzann looked up at the Minicorn leader; she signaled for Dzann to hold her head higher as well as speak loud and clear. She had been told many times that she had to hold strength in her voice, or no one would listen to her and she would fail as a leader.

Puffing out her chest, holding her head high and looking at each of the other leaders in the eye, she spoke. "We mustn't forget who we are and where we came from. We also mustn't forget that we are newcomers to this land. We should each tell our herds that although we must learn of their cultures, we must always remember our own. That is what makes us who we are. That is what makes each of us special."

For a while, all Dzann could hear were little mumbles everywhere until one Leader spoke, agreeing to what she was saying. The meeting was adjourned.

While she walked out of the meeting, each of the other leaders thanked her for her insight and told her that she was nothing short of brilliant. When she looked over at the Minicorn leader, all she did was smile, nod, and walk away.

Dzann could not be more proud of herself. She knew that she was growing. She knew that she could and would grow into a leader that all of her herd could be proud of.

Disclaimer; In no relation did myself and someone else plan for Dzann's concept and the Minicorn leader to be friends... It's just for the sake of the RP response (:

Faid
I am also entered for the Imp leader, If I win please strike me off of the list.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Faid Shadowlight
Pixie's Name: Momoka
( Means peach tree flower in Japanese 桃花 )
Personality: Moka is a blabermouth, and a chatterbox. If she isn't telling you something about someone else she is telling you everything about herself untill you either tell her to be quiet or your ears fall off. The worst thing is she is aware of this, she knows that she needs to learn not to talk so much and listen more, she knows that some things she hears from or about others should not be talked about, and she tries, she really does. However being as young as she is it takes experience to know what to say when and to know what is an appropriate time and place for certain topics. Lets face it the middle of a meeting with the herd leaders is not a good time to tell everyone the story of how she got a stone stuck in her hoof the week before and how she got it out... eventually...

Since becoming a leader she has tried to put aside some of her nature to blab, while she doesn't feel ready at times and has moments of self doubt and lack of confidence, in her heart she knows that she can do the job. Though she works to be more serious when needed she is still light hearted and sweet, she draws on things she has learnt or herd to help her face different tasks. She is a lover of quotes and tries to remember a helpful quote for every situation. After all she might not have the wisdom of the ages but others have been there and done that before and are bound to have made a comment about it. She hopes in time to have her own useful quotes that people remember to help them though difficult situations. After all she would not be a leader forever and she could only hope that she inspires those that come after her, and that they remember her and her deeds in years to come. That would be her dream, to have made a difference for the better.

Prompt Response: Moka had never really expected to do or be anything important, had she had such high expectations she might have sought out others who could teach her the art of leadership. As it is she was a normal Pixie mare, who happened to be the boss... She spent what time she could trying to learn how best to do the job properly. She genuinely wants what's best for her kind it is a driving force that won't let her give up easily, not matter how overwhelmed she might feel at times. She knows she will never become someone else, she will always have what others might see as flaws in a leader, but everyone has flaws. Her thinking is that she can only be the best she can be and her people will decide if she is worthy of her job or not. However she had to convince the other leaders that she was someone that could be respected, though that was something she would have to earn.

She had no idea what to make of the other leaders, she knew little about them, though she already felt inferior thanks to her being younger than all of them. In truth she envied them their experience and confidence, they were so secure in their decisions that she felt like a blithering nit wit at times just thinking about it. But she had to do better, she had to find some confidence somewhere. She paced around in a small oval while she pondered things, someone had told her once when she was young that the best way to solve a problem was to break it down into parts. While this was not a problem in that sense perhaps the same thing could help her find points in the other leaders she could relate to, or perhaps even aspects of them that she saw in herself?

She would give her hind leg to know how they saw her? Of all the leaders she looked (to her thinking) the least serious, though the most feminine. Would this count for her or against her? She shook her head again, she had to stop that, they could take her as she was, she liked who she was and how she looked, though she sometimes lacked the confidence to back up that statement.

She scuffed her hoof a little as she started thinking, who to start with? Well as she was the youngest, why not begin with the eldest... The Nymph leader intimidated her, she was wise and had been a leader since before Moka had been born... However that was the only reason she was intimidated, nothing else had given her reason to be wary of the mare. She even thought that should she need advice she could go to the Nymph mare and be guided to a suitable path. Sighing and shaking her head. It was silly to be afraid of the mare, it would be foolish to want one of the other leaders to fail. No the Nymph leader was someone she could rely on to listen to her and to act accordingly, but she was also someone who would guide and nudge her in the right direction if she needed it. Old and wise yes, but the young only got that way with the help of those already there.

Moka turned again and wandered to the other end of her oval, pondering the next leader... The Imp leader... He seemed hostile at the best of times, and she had no idea why, though she was sure if she asked her kind to find out someone would... given time. Though spying on others was not a good way to make friends. Maybe it was someone doing such things that made him hostile? No she would work for his respect and trust, though she doubted it would come easily.

Looking round she saw the lines she had worn in the ground from all her pacing and sighing, this would never do. "Best to walk and spare the ground." Heading for a path out of the trees as her mind flicks back to the other leaders. She wasn't sure what to make of the Quilin twins, though it must be nice to have the support of another as a leader, though did they ever disagree about a decision? They must, no one could agree with everything another did all the time no matter how close they were. Then again the pair were well knows for being diplomatic... Maybe that is something she could learn from them, Though maybe she should work on her listening skills first... Sighing she closed her eyes and spoke her personal quote, a little mantra that she used to remind her how to be a good leader. "We have two ears and only one mouth, so a good leader should listen twice as much as they talk."

Heading for where the meeting should be as she walked, she shouldn't be late and she could think while she walked just as easily as any other time... Much like the Nixie leader she suspected, she could not imagine him staying in one place long enough for anything other than meetings. But that was the only thing she knew about him, the epitome of what a nixie was, he loved to explore and be adventurous, traits that she lacked, she was sure he went places and got into things that she would never dream of doing. She was preferred to be clean and neat, and besides her little wings would not fair well in some of the places that the Nixie leader might go.

Minicorns, they had everyone's respect, well anyone that wanted to be healed, after all would you want to help someone that was rude to you and belittled you? Probably not but she doubted that the minicorns would be so petty, they seemed a lovely and giving breed. Yes they were a breed that she would love to be like, it reminded her of something else she had heard before when she was small. No one really starts out kind. All we know how to do at first is want. We want food, we want attention...it's just natural survival instinct, I guess...but kindness is something that we all have to learn as we go. It's something that grows and develops slowly over time...the same way our bodies do... She didn't consider herself unkind by any means, but she wanted to be kinder, and so she would learn to be.

She could see them now, and it seemed she was the first to arrive of the new arrivals. Her eyes went to the Puti leader as she drew closer. Wondering what it was like for him, he was not the eldest but he was the one they all looked to for leadership. Was it just him being who he was or was it something else that brought this reaction out of herself and the other leaders? She would like to get to know him better, find a way to help support him in his overall leadership. She stopped as she joined the group, tisking herself the best way to support him and the other leaders is to do her job. She was the Pixie leader, she would perform that task to the best of her ability!

She looked around the group, others were arriving now and she allowed herself a small calm smile, she could do this. She might be young and inexperienced but everyone had to start somewhere. She was a leader, among other leaders, and while she might not feel it at times she was equal to each and every one of them, being timid and doubting herself would not help anyone. As the meeting started she found herself feeling calmer and more confident, they had a job to do and they would need her help to do it.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Jynk
Pixie's Name: Aponi (Native American for "butterfly")

Personality: One could call Aponi bubbly, and that would probably be an understatement. Upbeat and near-perpetually perky, the young mare still has a lot of growing to do. She often relies on the elders of the herd to guide her while she's still learninbg the ropes. This often times results in frustration for both her and the elders as she'd rather go play instead of sit through boring lessons of how to be a better leader.

Prompt Response: "Another boring lesson?" Aponi complained, following the elder to the meeting grove. "They're so boring." She shuffled along, grumping the whole way. As the young mare entered the grove, she saw that instead of the usual gathering of elders to lecture her, there were other Usidas there, strange ones unlike she had seen before. The elder introduced them as leaders of the other sub-breed herds and young Aponi felt rather intimidated.

Could they tell she was inexperienced? That she wasn't a great leader yet? Surely they wouldn't judge her without knowing her yet, right? The meeting lasted only a few hours and during most of it, Aponi kept silent, letting the elder that had accompanied her do most of the talking. She got the hint quickly that this was a learning experience, a chance to see how older, wiser leaders handled themselves. She absorbed all the knowledge they had to offer.

After the meeting was over and the other leaders had gone home, Aponi stood with the elder. "They're so much better at this than me."

"Experience comes with time. You, too, will become a great leader," the elder told her gently. "All it takes is remembering your responsibilities. You're young and still growing and learning, but you'll get there. Just remember to stay true to yourself, too, and you'll do fine."

"Okay," the mare said, shrugging. One day she'd be a good leader and she'd be like the others she'd met tonight, but for now, she just wanted to go play. Tomorrow she could become the great leader her people needed.

Username: HarukaHaru
Pixie's Name: Aletha
Personality: Aletha can be extremely truthful, she doesn't sugar coat anything and is considered rude at times because when she tells the truth it can be something she feels needs to be noticed. Because she is the youngest, she can sometimes be immature and act wrongly. Sometimes she wants to play and have fun when its supposed to be serious time and time for work to be done. She can also be rather naive and be easily tricked or fooled by others. The thing she seems to lack the most is common sense and it bothers her a great deal.
Prompt Response: Her hooves touched down on the soft grass as she made her way across the field. It was decision day and she couldn't possibly be anymore nervous than she already feels. Her heart was pounding against her chest and she thought that once she got close enough that everyone else would hear her heart. She began to take deep breathes trying to relax and think with a clear head. Aletha got closer and closer to the group, it was a meeting to decide if this was a good ground to graze or if they should seek elsewhere. She always panicked like this because she didn't know what to say in fear of being judged, worried about making the wrong decision. It was a lot of pressure on her and she worried about it at night even when she was sleeping, it followed her into her dreams. Her mind just wouldn't shut off even when she willed it to stop tormenting her with all of the thoughts of disaster. She stopped and smiled at the other leaders, her smile was real just like the fear. Aletha quickly bowed her head in greeting and stood very still as she raised her head back up and looked at the others. The meeting started and of course when it came to her turn to speak, she froze, she always does but this time she took a deep breath and decided to speak. "I think the grass is lush and it is a nice green color, there should be no problem grazing here." She said it with a confidence that she had no idea where it came from, she forced a smile and nodded with some of the other leaders. It was a meeting with the other leaders first and then it would follow with a meeting for the others. Her heart skipped a beat though because the ones that didn't agree with her, didn't even comment on her words but ignored her instead. It made her feel useless and completely invisible, she hated feeling like this and figured it was probably best if she had just kept her words to herself. But the thoughts wouldn't stop going through her mind that she belonged here, it was her place and being inexperienced it would give her the best experience. She made herself stay in place because she knew in her heart and probably in the back of her mind that it would benefit her in the future.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Sweenys_Revenge
Pixie's Name: Eilir
Personality: Eilir has a tendency to take more into their shoulders than she should. For this reason she gets in way over her head. This would be alright, easily remedied if she would just accept help. Unfortunately, however, she refuses it at every turn, opting to do things herself. In Eilir’s mind accepting help is as good as failure.

Some think this stems from the fact that she is the youngest and is trying to prove herself, while others think it’s a trait earned from her father, who had, admittedly, much more grace in handling affairs than his young daughter does. Still others, however, feel that this is simply how she is, and perhaps she is fitted more for another calling.

Such forces of doubt weighing down on Eilir never fail to make her anxious. For this reason, she’s perpetually jumpy. With her nerves always on edge if someone speaks to her without her expecting it, Eilir over reacts. This reaction to sudden stimuli has fueled some significant blows to her image as a herd leader.

Despite all that, Eilir is a proud mare. She’s not one to give up, despite how exhausted and horrible she feels. If there is one thing that the Pixies can say about Eilir, it’s that she always does come through for her herd. This is the one thing that keeps her doing what she does.

Prompt Response: Eilir had no idea how bad she looked, but she had some semblance of how back she felt. If she looked half of that, she looked pretty monstrous. After endless days getting her herd settled and healthy after the long trek she finally had a day to herself. That day, however, was going it be eaten by a sudden call from the leaders of the other eight herds. Eilir would like nothing more than to lie her head down and shut her eyes, but that was not something she could do. Steeling herself with a shake of her head she braced her nerves and her mind with the promise of the best sleep she’d had in days. This meeting would not take up too much energy, she knew that. Unless, that was, someone decided there was a crisis which needed to be remedied. In which case a nap would be pushed even further into her future, perhaps out of sight. Eilir didn’t allow herself to dwell any further on such a concept. If she did her body would refuse to function as she needed it to.

Approaching the clearing Eilir forced her eyes open, perhaps making her seem even more wraith like. One of the Quilin siblings smiled dryly at her while the other chuckled. Eilir ignored them, taking her place between the Minicorn and the Nixie. No one was sitting, and though her knees knocked and her legs turned watery with need for rest, she did not let herself lower to the ground. The Minicorn looked to her and smiled softly. While Eilir was fiercely independent, the maternal warmth of the mare was always welcome. “Will you be alright dear?” Her voice was like honey as she whispered into her ear. Eilir always thought that, had the circumstances been right, she could fall in love with this mare. As always she had to find her voice, lost somewhere between hopeless gratitude for her selfless kindness, and desperate affection which deeply confused her. “I’m fine, thank you Carnelia.” The mare only smiled with a nod, turning back to the small circle of leaders.

“The last to arrive as usual,” drawled a deep voice from the left. Eilir saw Carnelia’s eyes narrow at the Imp as he grinned unctuously at the young mare. “It just shows that children should not be sent to do adult’s work.” Eilir winced visibly at the shot, shrinking from Warrens toxic yellow eyes. “Perhaps it is time youth took over for the short comings of the infirmity of the elderly,” Carnelia shot viciously, stepping forward. Warren did not reign back any of the force of his disdain, but he did silence his tounge. “Peace, both of you.” If Carnelia’s voice was beautiful then Siegfried’s voice was not meant for the ears of mortals. Eilir thought it always a pity that he didn’t use it as much as she would have liked. All eyes turned to the blue Putti who stood three spaces to the right of Eilir. As per usual, his command was honored, and even Warren cooled his rage for their fearless leader. Eilir was eternally thankful for his authority and the grace with which he wielded it.

“I have called you all here on a very serious matter.” Eilir said good bye to her nap and bit back a sigh. “But first must come the niceties. Has everyone settled in comfortably?” He looked around and Eilir shuddered at the cool power that swam benignly in his azure eyes. She could never hope to wield such authority. “My herd has only just found wetlands to their liking,” Ikaroa, another stallion whom Eilir did not particularly like chimed. His eyes moved directly to Eilir as he spoke. “There were no skirmishes, no riots, and there was no trouble. A smooth transition, my lord.” Eilir knew he referred to the outbreak of fights among her herd. The move had been harder on her herd than she had expected, mainly since most of the mothers were either expecting or had small children with them. Keeping them reigned in was not easy and wore on nerves. Mothers and fathers were fighting like enemies and children were wrestling and seriously injuring one another. It was no secret that chaos ran rampant on Eilir’s camp, despite her best efforts to quell the anger of her people.

“The Imps have been less than cooperative, my lord,” Warren began with a sigh, clearly regretting the image his herd set for him. “They wish for the homelands, and refuse to settle in, threatening to return themselves.” Eilir was grateful that her herd was not the only one who was having a hard time. She bite the shot that danced on her tongue. She was the bigger soquili and would not start a fight. “I will speak with them, Warren. They will stay. We cannot afford a split in the herds. And you, Carnelia?” Elir saw the mare fluff with pride before she began to gush. “My children have been nothing short of perfect, my lord.” Eilir had to grin as Carnelia fought a girlish giggle which made Warren gag. Carnelia ignored him with a glare. “The children have been settled and stores are being stocked in a cave the scouts have found and investigated.” Siegfried grinned. “Good news is nice to hear. Eilir, how are the fights in your camps?” Eilir was almost knocked over with surprise. “M-m-my lord…” she began uncertainly. Warren scoffed at her stumble. Eilir steeled herself again, her bell chiming with the ferocity with which she shook her head. “My lord,” she continued more surely. “The camp is settling down slowly. I have not slept these three days for ensuring it.” Siegfried made a sound of concern as he observed her. Eilir felt suddenly self conscious. “I will speak with your camp as well.”

“The Nymphs have concerns, my lord.” Dimpna actually took a step forward. Eilir had always marveled at how strange her voice was, and how age had only added richness to it and her beauty. “There have been whispers, my lord. Whispers of predators. Those who have no respect for the sanctity of life and love. It is said they cannot be reasoned with. It is said they can shift into animals, slipping through the grass like wind. Striking like shadows in the night they attacks their victims. Sometimes for food, others for sport.” Eilir had heard the rumors as well. Clearly so did the others. Those who did not murmur shifted uncomfortably. “My lord,” it was Mirata’s turn to speak, her brother next to her nodding his affirmation. “Didn’t we flee our homelands for fear of death? Makura and I have not had as much success as Carnelia and Ikaroa for just that reason.” Eilir could see Warren opening his mouth to speak next to her. Please don’t speak, she pleaded without a word. No such luck.

“There are… other whispers… my lord…” Siegfried turned his attention to the Imp. Warren bowed his head, a poor impression of humility Eilir noted. “Whispers that… you were perhaps… err… in your decision. My camp speaks of revolution. They think… perhaps you are not fit to be the Leader of Learders.” There was a communal intake of breath at the news. All eyes immediately snapped to the blue Putti. If this information bothered Siegfried, it did not show in his cool sapphire eyes, nor in any ripple of his body. He simply nodded. “I thank you, Warren, for that excellent transition.” Another wave of murmurs, silences immediately when Siegfried opened his lips to speak. “You have all done very well in your duties, and I an proud to count you among my trusted advisors, my generals, and my friends.” Eilir was certain Seigfried caught her eye, but she looked down before she could be sure. “As you have noticed… these lands are far different from the feudal home we hail from. I have seen the herds around us. I have spoken with leaders of native herds and I have come to this conclusion. Our system of government is both archaic and irrelevant.” He paused for a moment, Eilir did not hear one breath, not even her own. “It is for this reason that I hereby abolish it. We are each responsible only for our own herds and even then, much of your responsibilities are cut. The people must be allowed to grow as the free society these lands embrace. The transition will be difficult… but I have faith in us.”

And that was all Siegfried was going to say on the matter. As Warren raged loudly and the twins murmured quietly amoung themselves Eilir lost herself in her own mind. There wasn’t any grand epiphany, nor any bubbling rage. Eilir simply smiled and thought ‘I’m gonna get that nap after all.’

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: dawns_aura
Pixie's Name: Sunaya (Sanskrit- ‘one with good conduct; good leader’)
Personality:
Temper- Reluctant Leader
Serious, trying hard to take up the mantle of responsibility for her herd while yearning for the chance to be young and experience life, even as she pushes those desires to the back of her mind as selfish. Uncertain about her ability to lead, as she had only just begun being trained and groomed for the position she now holds, and very uncomfortable interacting with the other leaders who are older and much more experienced than she is. She is well mannered, respectful to those who deserve it by virtue of age and action.
She tries to do what is best for her herd, regardless of the cost to herself.

Prompt Response:
It was a sad day when Shisa became one with the spirits. Especially so soon before what had been her dream would be realized. She had wanted so much to travel on and find a place that was more fitting… more welcoming to our kind. A place where we could do more than just simply survive. A place we could belong, and thrive. That was her vision. Her dream. I will do what I can to make it a reality.

I wasn’t ready, not by far, for the responsibilities her passing would place upon my shoulders. I am too young. Just out of that awkward phase between foal and adult. How am I supposed to guide them… to know what is best? I envy the qilin leaders. At least they have eachother. Who do I have now that my mentor is gone, I am alone in this.

It is difficult to interact with the others, especially since they all knew me as a foal. Even if I am now grown, what if all they see is the little one who tagged along at Shisa’s side? I am so not ready for this. But I must be. I must step up. These are my herd, and I will not let them down.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Kaliksanny
Pixie's Name: Joan (the name of the queen of pixies in Cornish myth)
Personality: Cheeky.

Joan is very abrupt and to the point, often speaking her mind even when she shouldn't. She has a bit of a dark humor, almost impish, if you will. She's eager to be of help to pixies, as well as the other mini-breeds. She's bold, though sometimes comes off as insulting. This may be due to her still being young. She's respectful of her elders, even if she doesn't come off as such. Joan has a playful attitude, but a serious demeanor. She knows when she has to be 'grown-up'.

Prompt Response:

The young pixie sat there, long after the meeting of the leaders had adjourned. She mulled over what had played out in her mind, what they'd said, her reactions and responses. Had they taken her seriously, or thought her a joke because she was the youngest?

"What area should we settle in first?" the putti leader has posed to the council. "There are many wooded areas, plains, and beaches nearby. There are also mountains, hills, and a few swamps."

Each of the leaders had their own ideas of where the herd should settle. The beach for the nixi, the woods for the nymph...and on it went. Joan tried to speak up, but they kept talking over her. What did she know of what would suit the herd best? She was the youngest and still had a lot to learn. Finally after many tries, the young mare stomped her hoof and shouted, "I think somewhere close to water and a place to graze, with good shelter and protection would be best. From what has been said, I think the the fork in the river near where the plains meet the forest would be ideal."

The other leaders looked at her, a few raising their brows at being interrupted. She stood her ground, puffing out her small chest. Sliding a glance at the nymph, she tilted her head. "Don't
you think it'd be the prime location for our herd?"

The nymph, and oldest member of the council, nodded slightly. "I have to admit, you do make a good argument...even if you did cut off the conversation."

Joan blushed a bit, her mouth was always getting her into trouble. But, if she didn't blurt things out, she feared she'd never get heard. She settled back while the others argued the points, as wells as where a place like this might be..and which one would be their new home. The mare may have had a lucrative idea, but she knew the others would know how to carry it out. She was still inexperienced in these matters, but listened in to try an gain some insight.

The meeting tolled on, arguments about this and that tossed back and forth among the leaders. Finally things were settled, and the puttie leader turned to her. "Would you and your people be so kind as to pass the news on to the herd as to where we are going and what the plans are?"

The pixie nodded, standing straight. She watched as the others left to go their people.

"So, even if I am young...they still respect me in my talents as a messenger. I still have a voice, I just have to get it heard," Joan mused, walking back to where her people camped. She still had to send them out with their messages to the whole herd. She had a place amongst the council, and her confidence with her leadership skills was growing.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Lolli McHotpants
Pixie's Name: Phelicia
Personality: Magnanimous to a fault, she will do any and all she can for the sake of one soquili or many. Size, breed, or beliefs mean nothing to her where helping someone is concerned.
Prompt Response:
Mother always said size didn't matter. I will always believe her and have never had it proven to me that she was wrong- Though the Imp Elder has tried. Though to his credit he is always polite about it. Well, he's polite as far as imps go... There are some that wouldn't view the pranks he's played on me as polite but I know it's just his way of welcoming to the group. To leadership. Which is wonderful because he's learned that I am more than capable of returning the sentiments.
The Putti Elder never says anything to us about our antics but you can see the sparkle in his eye as he watches us. It's hard to miss if you don't look, but Mother always said the eyes are the windows to the soul and Spirits know she's right about that one as well. It may be my imagination-- But one time I thought I saw him hide a blunt burr in the spot that Elder Imp always sits to play Sparks. Neither one said anything about it, but you can see the unspoken respect and friendship sit in the air between the two as thick as honey. They are like two halves of one whole and they know it. One day I wish to be as close to the two of them as they are to one another.
Unfortunately as yet I haven't gotten to observe as much about the others, but one time the Quilin twins had a fight- nothing large, and it's something Mother says siblings will do, but Brother Quilin looked so lost and hurt. I helped him by leaving small tokens that I thought Sister Quilin would like in places that he would find them in hopes that he'd give them to her and start to talk it out with her. It must have worked especially well because they're back to being joined at the hip and both wear bits of what I'd left him to give her in their manes. They don't know that it was me, and they never shall, but that's the way I like it.

Mother says size isn't everything-- But the size of your heart is. My new friends tell me I have the biggest heart of all.

I'm a little butter- wait, what's that?

Username: Divena
Pixie's Name: Vozai
Personality: In a word, bubbly. In two… very bubbly. She’s energetic and often seems easily distracted. The truth is that she has so many thoughts going at once that she simply can’t keep them all straight and often flits from one to another at a moment’s notice.
Prompt Response:
At Vozai’s age, most fillies would have been thinking about cute young stallions, pretty ribbons, and whirl wind romances. Vozai… was trying very hard not to yawn in one of the many meetings she had to attend as one of the mini leaders. They always seemed to drag on and on as the older minis argued back and forth about what was best for their people.

Things were even starting to get predictable. First, the Imp leader would say something that would set off the Putti… ah, there they went. Now, the minicorn was going to try and… yep. Vozai watched as the head of the minicorn herd tried to sooth the two bruised egos in the room. The Quinlin twins were watching the exchange with a mix of amusement and disdain at the “immature” display. Vozai was simply bored.

Once, when she first took over the position as Pixie leader, she had found all of this fascinating and amusing. It had been comforting to see the other elders behaving a bit foolishly now and again. It made her feel as though being so young wouldn’t be held against her. Now, she was simply irritated with it all.

She was an equal to these other soquil, and they seemed to accept it. Of course, she didn’t often speak up unless she thought something would seriously endanger her people. Vozai acknowledged that she was far too young to truly lead her people, so she followed along with the others for the most part, learning and gleaning the experiences she would need. However, she wasn’t afraid to snap out if she thought silence would hurt her herd.

Bit by bit, she had earned their respect. In fact, she had spent so much time earning the elder leaders’ respect, she hadn’t given any thought to whether or not they had earned hers.

Latching on to this semi-interesting thought, she tilted her head and studied each of them as the meeting descended into the usual chaos that came shortly before the end of the meeting. As some tried to break up the arguments and others jumped in, Vozai was startled to learn that she hadn’t changed TOO much from that first meeting she had attended, a terrified, nervous new leader.

It was still nice to see her fellow elders relaxing and goofing off a bit. She giggled softly. Then she giggled harder before finally breaking down into full blown laughter. The sound caused the bickering elders to stop and stare at her, but she didn’t care.

The meeting was over anyway.

Personality: Devalekha is a timid soul but with her name meaning Celestial beauty. She tries to live up to the Celestial part. Though Shy around the elder Stallions and Mares she can still but that all to the side and lets her bravery take charge to get done the things that need to be done.
Prompt Response: Devalekha is at the age where she should be playing and enjoying life. Now just because she is a Leader of a herd doesn't mean that she doesn't enjoy her life. She does very much and watching over her herd brings her joy. The only real bad part about all of this is that she is timid towards the elder Stallions and Mares who are also herd leaders. She is afraid of messing things up in front of them.

But that isn't going to stop her at all. She can at will lock her timid part up and let her bravery take charge to get everything done as perfect as she can get it done when it is needed. This is her strength that she has gotten from her herd. Those younger and older then her in the herd she leads has taught her many things.

In areas she lacks they are her strength. Though she may not know what to do all the time. She will learn it. So stepping up to the elder leaders of the other herds is still scary to her. She can do so knowing her herd supports her full heartily.

Pixie's Name: Chloe (is Greek, means 'flowering')
Personality: (temper: Focused) Though very lively and energetic Chloe is focused and very goal-orientated and sticks to her path always getting the job done. She knows Pixie's are known to be the local gossips, but Chloe tries her best to set a good example, only passing on the information she was seeking and needing to learn for that particular assignment. Being young she can be a bit naive at times and sometimes doesn't have the best time management and can word things oddly, but for the most part she is a good leader and has a kind soul.

Prompt Response:
Though she has been leader of the Pixies for a good while now Chloe still feels some anxiety when meeting with the other Leaders. She has a small and dainty voice, but she makes it a point to get her point in, not letting herself be 'run-over'. She is committed to her duty and it shows when she has the floor on important topics concerning any and all the breeds, not just her own.

Chloe is still a tad bit shy, especially when it comes to talking one-on-one with any of the leaders. She will find her self saying a lot of 'ums' and some slight stuttering, but nothing too bad....unless of coarse she is talking to the Leader of the Putti and the Leader of their 'council'. Being young she finds herself with a crush on the Blue stallion and will really stumble over herself in his presence.

She knows it's inappropriate, but she can't help but find him attractive and kind....and dreamy....*cough* right yes...sorry...Anyways...though inexperienced compared to the others she learns quickly and will often ask advice of the Minicorn and Nymph Leaders and even the Quilin sister(though she sometimes scares her). She is trusting of their judgment and feels they would never lead her a stray, but maybe still she is a little too trusting?

With her anxiety and nerves in the meetings, she sometimes has hyper fits causing her to flit about and sometimes finds it hard to stay still. She has gotten better along their journey to the Kawani lands, but this can still happen, but she knows she has to just take a few moments to take some deep breaths to calm herself so business can continue.

She is very kind and always more then willing to help and has no trouble collecting information, just relaying can be challenging with her nerves, but again she is gaining control of herself. She seeks guidance from all the Leaders and will often watch how they interact with one another and others as well. She stays on task and remains focused through everything she does(does her best through the nerve/hyper episodes). She is goal oriented and is never late to a meeting.

She is still learning and observing and getting better everyday but still has a lot to learn, but she is ready for the unknown of tomorrow.........
