That isn't necessarily a bad thing, but might feel that way for a while. People tend to forget that things such as death or termination of something are a natural result. And isn't just restricted to living things, but also includes goals, plans and desires that have either been achived or are being replaced by something new. In your case I'm assuming it has something to do with whatever this dream is representing (some goal or ambition) that has been taking too long to complete and you might be considering dropping it to go on with something else. This is where you will need to take responsibility and decide on what you want to do.
