Elemental Affinity: Rather than dabbling in all elements, some Mages focus on one of the four elements and specialize in it. They work exclusively with this element, shunning the other elements. As a result, their spells in this particular element are much stronger. If they attempt to use a spell outside of their specialization, however, that spell is much weaker.
Personality:
She's calm and polite but often soft-spoken. Sometimes to the extent that she appears rather emotionless, but in reality, she doesn't know what to say or do. Part of the problem is that she's also the type of person who doesn't speak up when she doesn't have to, but she's also a bit shy. She has trouble with social etiquette, sometimes takes things too literally. She's often contemplating what to do and when she isn't- she's watching or observing that other people don't have the time to notice. She's a bit slow on the uptake though, so she often doesn't inform others or remark on it until somebody asks.
She's a dedicated worker, putting all her effort no matter how small the task. So much that she'll tend to overwork herself, working for hours beyond the time everybody else would be done. In order to compensate for her short-comings, she puts in even more effort. She tries her best to be a capable person. She seeks approval, hating to be inferior or useless. She is greatly discouraged by criticism.
She doesn't easily get attached to people but once she does, she's absolutely faithful. They are the most important people in her lives. In fact, she's rather selfish about this in a way where she would sacrifice anything else for them. They are her entire world and the only world she's interested in. She won't stand for anyone insulting them. She doesn't initiate fights, not interested in conflict. But she will engage any aggressor -when her precious people are in danger, she doesn't hesitate to respond ruthlessly and quickly.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? When growing up, Lacie was found to be the illegitimate daughter from an affair. After her mother died, she was taken in but only treated coldly in an isolated house. Only her grandfather was sympathetic to her flight. Upon discovering her power of a reaper, her affinity for ice, an affinity he thought had ended with him, he sent her to Amityville Academy to escape and in hopes she would live a better life than what remained for her. She still ponders the grandfather's feelings for her but she feels that she wants to try her best for the person who helped her the most in hopes he will be proud. To that end, she's willing to attend the academy and take any classes that will help her.
FEAR:
- She wields ice. With a swing of her glaive, sharp ice projectiles will emerge and diverge upon the enemy. She may also, from touch or a short distance away, freeze small matter. But her ice will melt within a few minutes or easily break through strong force. In combat, it may only delay the enemy a few moments before they can break free. As she advances onto her second year, the strength and range of her ice should grow. In her third year, hopefully she learns some new moves.
