This is going to be the spot for everyone to post their poetry. I, myself, write poetry and plan on posting some. Some may be depressing....so heads up. If anyone else would like to post any feel free. mrgreen
Edit: Also some of my poems are not in the correct "poem format" or whatever. They are just rough drafts of them.

Rising
I thought I quit I thought I was done Just one more time So I can rise to the sun
The feeling I get When the minute turns two My mind is hit Man I missed you
I must quit soon I must quit now But when I hear that tune I think how, oh, how

Now You Are Gone
When things got tough I turned to you ‘Cause like always You’d get me through
The first cut I made Just wasn’t enough ‘Cause things were still Just as rough
I made some more To ease the desire And after that My arm was on fire
The feeling was great But I needed more I knew they would soon walk through that door
Quickly, I put you in a new place But when you became lost My heart started to race
Now I’m sitting here With that desire For you to come back And put out the fire

Beautiful Her eyes always sparkle when she is around Her smile will bring you up even if you are down Her kindness towards everyone is nothing but great She’s the kind of person that no one can hate She knows the right time to just have some fun Don’t look for another person because there is only one I’ve always known her personality to be very upbeat When you are around her you have to rise to your feet Her name is ____ and she’s a good person to befriend She’s one of the ones that you have to keep till the end.
( I didn't want to include the name on here. Also it was for her birthday. It was a nonchalant poem of affection that I made into a friendship poem.)

Grandma
You brought out The joy in life But now that you’re gone I just need that knife
You loved me with All of your heart But since you’ve been gone My world fell apart
I would give up anything For just one more day For you to come back And brighten up my day
You were once my mom But now you’re not here I can’t take much more Or I will start to tear
I will see you soon Where ever you are It doesn’t matter if It’s heaven, the moon, or the stars
When we meet in This special place You will never forget The smile on my face

Addiction
First time I cut I was new to the blade I just wanted to see If my feelings would fade
They days went by Scars started to appear Every single day when I looked in the mirror
Years went by, the scars started to fade But more came along Every day that I picked up that blade
The rush that would come Became less and less But as the urge came along All I could say was yes, oh yes
I tell myself that I will rise to the top But every time I try I can’t seem to stop
It’s been 6 long years since that first painful time But the urge doesn’t fail To ring its beautiful chime

If Only
No words can describe what is really in my heart No words can tell how much you fit the part No actions can show what I wish would be No actions can portray what you really mean to me
I would hand over the world just to see your beautiful smile I would give up on everything if you would just stay awhile The more I think about you the more I continue to fall The more my mind puts up a fight the harder I beat on that closed door
I know my deepest wishes will never come true but that makes me fall faster for no one but you

Frozen me
Your heart is like an ice cube. Cold and stony as steel.
Your soul is like a desert. Empty, barren and dry.
Your mind is like a world war. I never know what's going on.
You loved me, then bleached my heart til it was drained of any life.
Sucked my tear ducts out so that I can cry no more.
So thanks to you, I've learned to trust more carefully.
To guard my heart and put up walls to see who will tear them down.
Because they are the ones that care.

The House on Immaculate Street
A man stares into the eyes that reflect in the mirror walls cemented together with pain and despair glare back the color of grief is smeared into every little crevice the sound of freedom cries out from inside these dreadful walls but he cannot and will attempt to demolish these walls; and he mustn’t try for the dam of emotions will overflow
Contentment is chiseled into the house made of stone shingles cover the roof that sits on the house of strength the foundation of transformation sits on the land of success tourists flock to this house like seagulls to the dump only to view and admire the renovation that has come with time and to forget the sorrowful land that they are striding across
The man conveys the anecdote of this transformation voices the same portrayal as if it is etched into the back of his hand next to each tourist is the same question the last person inquired and behind this question is the answer identical to that of the last but the guide gives this answer as if it were an everyday routine but in the hindmost part of his mind he knows it is just an immense lie
As this man continues to stare into the blank view of his eyes the thought of tourists finding out the truth crosses his mind but then again the question is always comes down the same path are they concerned about the structure of this mended house or are they pleased that it is no longer a blemish to the neighborhood

The Dream
They walk down the brick path through the middle of the prairie the precious flowers of love are all around them the songs of happiness echoes through their ears the delicate warmth of passion surrounds them the breeze brings the scent of bliss through the air
They stop to collect all of the emotions radiating from them to give each other what they have longed for to whisper the words of love to one another to gently hold the soft hands of one another to gaze into the eyes of their beautiful partner
The man sees the lonely sight of reality through these eyes feels the loneliness aching in his heart smells the scent of dying love in need of use see’s the clamminess of his untouched skin hears his soul calling out to for that special person
The man cries out asking why he must feel the numbness emptiness aloneness yearning
But there is no one out there to hear sorrow no one to make it disappear no one to give him hope no one to patch the valleys no one to take the time
Life will bring that person to him one day and he will hold onto her respect her cater to her and most of all love her
