Oliver's eyes looked onto the forest, the feeling of calmness setting over him as he walked ever so quietly. He was rather uneasy today, he had not heard from his dearest "friend" Tyler in some time, perhapes she had been eaten by the soquili she tried so hard to trick into doing her own dirty deeds. His face stayed calm and emotionless, as it usually did, though his eyes seemed to scan the forest more than he would have liked them. His curls falling into his eyes every so often angered him, but kept it inside himself, a trick he had learned from his mentor.

Oliver was the oddest kind of soquili, he was devilishly handsome, or so he had been told. Yet inside him awaited a cold blooded killer, hiding himself deep inside until the right moment to strike a victum of his chosing. He had also developed a very nasty habit, the clicking of his tongue. Oliver walked slowly, he was in no need to find Tyler, she would do fine on her own. So the stallion stopped to look at his reflection, to see the body he felt he was cursed in.

His brown and green mane fell into his face, and with angry eyes, he tried to hurrily brush them away. The image in front of him was something he rarely pictured himself as. His mind gave him the sharp teath and daring eyes as a kalona, with devilshly dark fur, and a tail of steel. Of course this was how he believed he looked on the inside, behind the brown and green mess of curls. His frown began to show, and as he felt more angry, he tore his eyes off his relfection. He knew what he had been given, though he cursed whatever super power that gave him this almost on a daily basis.

The hardest part about Oliver, was that his fae never changed. He did not smile, he did not laugh, and his voice never came out anything other than dry. Unless he had a game to play, with another soquili.

Motherhood had been kind to Inali. It was one of the few things in her life that had been. But now her children were grown and off elsewhere, and her relationship with their father had, to all intents and purposes, ended. She did not really need him for much. The fact that they wouldn't have a relationship beyond their children had been made explicitly clear, and now Alistair had fled to have his own adventures, using his wings to take him places Inali could not even imagine. How strange it was, to have a full grown son. It made her feel old, yet when she looked at her reflection in a still pond or lake, she did not look old. Inali looked much the same, though her stomach was slightly rounder than it had been before the pregnancy.

Maybe it was time she got out once again and did her own exploring. After so long being dedicated solely to Alistair, with little concern for herself, it felt strange. Could she afford to be selfish like that? She had been so selfish before, and having foals had changed her. But with changes for the better came changes for the worse. Inali felt less sharp than she had been. Her mind had been faster before, but the foals had muddled it. How could she ever hope to gain that back?

Inali could only hope that if she journeyed again, she would meet kind soquili who would help her regain her sense of self. As long as there were no kalonas or skinwalkers, she thought that she would be fine. There was no reason for her to be a good target for anything else. A middle aged mare, not unlovely, but clearly slightly worn around the edges. The idea that she would be an easy target did not even cross her mind. Inali simply wanted to get out and escape, kick down the door of this little hut she had built in her mind. Yes, that was all. She just needed to get out.

So it was that she found herself wandering through the forest, her mind blissfully blank as she stopped every now and then to marvel upon some forest plant. It felt good to be on the move again, though it also felt terribly lonely. Alistair had been her company for so long. With a sigh, the red mare pressed forward, though what sounded like hooves stopped her. "Hello?" she called out with some hesitant. "Who's there?"

The stallions eyes darted towards a voice that had seemed to escape the depths of the forrest. His ears were raised high, this was not an attacker. He knew this all to well, the softness of the voice was what gave it away. His tail twitched, it was obviously a mare from what it sounded like. The stallions light green hooves stayed in place, who could be out here so far alone? Oliver allowed his feet to carry him towards the voice, not knowing what to expect. He was usually alone, the way he liked to be. There was in no way this intruder could be Tyler, even he knew that she would have started her tricks with a rhyme. His tongue clicked as he got closer, his insides growing cold, maybe this could be his kill.

The closer her got, the more of a red hue he picked up, his light green eyes stayed in place as he walked closer to where the sound had come from. There stood a mare with red fur covering her entire body, but then white hair. His face being unfazed he raised a brow to the mare, what on earth was she doing so far into the forrest. Surely she knew only killers dared to come this far. He took in her appearence, at first the red, then her white mane, her odd marking on her rump. His brain began to tick, what a beautiful mare, to add to his games.

Though he hated to do so, the evil stallion smiled, his tail flicking, "Hello Indeed. My name is Oliver Constantine Brochan." His voice came out in almost a coo, something very unusual for the stallion to do. He was used to being cold and pushing anything he came into contact with away from his as far and as quickly as possible. His tongue clicked, he the procceded a bow towards her. She seemed to be lost, not physically, but mentally.

His smile stayed on his face, she was almost too perfect. His training had taught him well, use a charm and his looks to suck in any mare. Oliver's only challange was to not go back into his original self, the evil stallion he truely was. His mentor had taught him such ways, to lure a mare in, just to see if he could. His thoughts and eyes spinned with emotions, he would have to try it out on this mare. She had ventured so far, she needed a game to play. He smiled in his own head, or at least make her a pawn in his.

He than began to throw on a worried looking face, "My lady, why are you out here so far?" Oliver's mind was yelling at him, he did not care nor did he want to. He just hoped his persona was spot on, he needed to see if he could actually do what his mentor could. Lure her in.

The voice was soothing, seductive. In any other situation, Inali would have been suspicious. As it was, she urged the part of her mind that told her to run to shut up. The soquili that stood before her was perfectly normal looking. He had no fangs, no wings, no horns. It seemed impossible that he would have a mean bone in his body. The look on his face was not precisely innocent, but Inali looked away quickly enough, tracing her eyes over the stripes that adorned him. They were mesmerizing- especially the way they led up to his eyes. Those eyes were light green, she noted, same as his hooves, slightly paler than the color present in his mane and tail.

He introduced himself like a gentleman as well. That was what Inali needed. It made her feel more like her own self, while conversely making her more nervous and flustered than she typically was. He had a nice name, she decided. It was a bit long and informal for her taste, but perhaps there was some family significance to it? She should have given Alistair a family name before he wandered out into the world, but it was far too late to think about that.

"Er... I'm Inali. Simply Inali." Her tone of voice was still hesitant, though the pleasure at meeting what Inali deemed to be polite, good company was very much in evidence. While not exactly prepared to throw her heart away to one handsome stranger, Inali was letting her guard lower significantly. If only she could have read Oliver's thoughts and known what a grievous mistake she was making by doing so. It was just nice to be treated as Inali had once thought she deserved. Now she was not so sure.

Then he was enquiring what she was doing out there, and calling her 'my lady'. Inali blushed, though none of the color showed up through her dark red fur. Her silver eyes closed a moment in her embarrassment though. Now that was a name she had not heard in a while, and had not expected to hear again, if she was being perfectly candid with herself. It once again set her heart to fluttering rapidly in her rib cage. It would be very easy to disarm Inali from here.

"I... I was wandering to get away from where I've lived for so long. My son is fully grown now, and I thought that it was time I lived life for myself again. I have always liked the forest and found it peaceful, though I truly wasn't paying attention to where I was going." Should she admit that? Why not? Oliver looked fine to her, as if he would understand that need to roam without knowing where exactly you were going.

"And you, sir? Why do you find yourself out in the forest this day? You blend in better than I do, that is for sure." Inali's life was rueful.

The stallion stood straighter, taking in her words. His stomach was kicking him for how much kindness he was preparing to spill out to her. For Oliver, emotions were something he never wished to show. He preffered to keep everything inside, even projecting such a calm soothing voice was making him sick. He knew letting others read off your emotions was a cause for disaster, no one could simply be trusted by looks. He snorted in his own mind, he was proving his own point just talking to Inali.

Her name was simple, much like both his parents. In honesty, the stallion rather approved the name, something short and to the point. His, so he believed, would linger in the mind more. Whether he be a force not to reckon with or a mere myth others would learn about later. Her hesitant voice made him mentally roll his eyes, she seemed to be weak with worries and thoughts. Perhapes after he lured her in he could change her, if she showed any sort of power that he could use for his own. Tyler was his only right hand soquili, but an extra pawn or two would, could, never hurt anything.

He smiled to her, his ear twitching ever so slightly, "Inali, is it. Well, you must beg my pardons for later if I call you my lady again. It's a habit I have yet broken...Inali. What a beautiful name, for such a beautiful mare." He looked at her again, he was rather attracted to her red colorings. Only assuming this was because it reminded him of the blood red color he saw so often. The brown stallion walked closer, hopefully making her more comfortable, she was so nervous, it made him laugh in his head. He would have to rid her of her fears, until his mission was over.

"A son you say? I never would have guessed one such as yourself having a child of there own." He chuckled playfully out loud, he was trying to be as cute and polite at the same time. He rather enjoyed playing games with others emotions, even his own mothers at times. He let his eyes rest in hers for a few moments, "Ah, so you were lost in your own thoughts."

His tongue clicked, now was his time to shine. Make up some clever story about why he was out here, make himself seem like quite the hero, swoon her even more. His voice filled his head, such a trouble to keep this up, but surely she will be worth the time. He flicked his tail, a curl from his mane falling into his place. He flipped his head slightly, "I just came out to enjoy the wonderful day, the forest has always been a safe haven for me." He looked to the darker forest behind him, then turning back to her, "Ah, I do blend in more than I wish. If only I had the colors of you, my lady. Blending in is not a desire I possess." This, was the biggest lie he had told. Oliver loved to blend into the forest, it made his attacks so much better.

Above him birds chirped, trying his best to ignore them he began to speak, only more of a coo came out, "Would you mind if I joined you in your walk? I'd hate to see you leave here alone."

Oliver was laying it on a bit thick, even for Inali. She was distressed, but hadn't yet lost all her senses. In all her experience, no stallion had ever acted like that or given such effusive praise if he didn't intend to get something out of her, or hurt her in some way. But, on the other hand, what if he truly did find her beautiful, and she was being too skeptical? She was so heart-hardened. Inali was afraid that if she continued with this attitude, she would miss out on a real opportunity. Perhaps Oliver was just nice, and just being polite. But with that face, there was no way he could be doing anything wrong, was there? No, she would trust Oliver, at least for now. Besides, he had called her beautiful, and it had been far too long since that happened.

Inali wasn't so fond of him moving closer though, and took an involuntary step back. "I thank you for your kind words, but it is all surely flattery to get into my good graces." She gave a weak smile, and tried not to look as nervous as she still felt. This weakness wasn't like her. Or it hadn't been like her. It was all terribly confusing, sorting out who she was and who she would become. Oliver was helping less than she had initially anticipated.

"My son is likely your own age. He's full grown, and off in the world now. I miss him terribly." Inali frowned. She had given a piece of information to Oliver that she hadn't meant to. But it wasn't as if he could do anything with it, could it? He was so unlike Alistair, who was the only stallion Inali had any frame of reference for anymore. How was she supposed to act around one who wasn't her flesh and blood. What was appropriate to tell him, and what wasn't?

His story did seem to make sense though. It was a nice day, and it wasn't as if the forest was uninhabited. Oliver had just come up on her rather suddenly. That was all. "If you wish to walk with me, you can. Do you have any children yourself? You look quite the strapping young lad, but it's hard to tell these things sometimes." Actually, Oliver didn't look near old enough to have foals of his own, but Inali had nothing else to talk about. Her world had been babies for too long. "You should settle down and have some, if you haven't already. They'll change your life." Now she sounded like she was in some bizarre cult of motherhood. Oh Inali. Where had she gone?
