Though they wished they could simply go back to their quarters and have a nice long rest, they had no such luck. They promised Zero that they would give the mission report, allowing him to go back to his lab and do some extensive research on the goings on of the mission. They entered the room, looking at the lone chairman that sat in the room. They began to articulate the mission's findings to the woman.


"We entered the village firstly, asking around for a man called, Mr. Pink?" "Mr. Yellow. He was one of the victims of the incident on the hill. He was badly injured, but that's a story for another time. When we arrived atop the mountain with Captain Zero," " we found that the winds suddenly picked up greatly. Alana was blown off the mountain without warning, but was soon after saved by Zero. When everyone was atop the hill," "we saw the creatures. They were far too normal to be Hollow, yet far too strange to be anything else that we've ever seen. Even Captain Zero was at a loss. He surmised on the spot that they must be creatures that reside in the Dangai Precipice World". "They were far more powerful than Hollows as well, for our Kido spells didn't work, and one of them fired a blast that was as large as one of the hills. Captain Zero was not able to fully ward off the attack, but managed to keep it from going beyond the hill". "They just left after that, though they could have easily won the fight. We believe that further investigation into the matter is needed". "That is all".


They turned on their heels and walked out of the room, back to their own barracks for a well deserved rest.

Once Akane had her wounds tended to and attained some decent rest as well, she headed over to the mission building where she requested for an audience with an available Chairman. Akane had this to say.

Tsubaki Akane, Lieutenant of the 7th Division reporting in, sir. I entered the human world via gigai and came across a victim falling prey to the sweet scent soon after. Upon further investigation, I learned that the cause of it was tied to a deceased soul unable to move on. Anger souls gathered around it and used him as a host thus forming a shadow creature that drains people of their life energy. I was aided in this mission but the soul of the boy's grandmother who had a high spiritual presence. With no other way to defeat it then by separating the boy's soul from the rest, I released my sword and used my minimal control over shadows to enter it. The creature was like an entity of its own, very different from that of regular shadows. There were many voices but one stood out from the rest. Within that void I saw the memories of the boy before and after his death and learned of the dark spirits who took over. Fighting my way through, I was able to reach the boy and with some difficult took him out of the creature with me via the method I used to get in. After that, the creature became weaken and as the old grandmother performed some sort of chant to make it return to its core form, Tsukimono and I destroyed it. We ended up freeing a lot of other souls as well aside from the grandmother and her grandson. That is all.

Once she received the okay to leave, Akane bowed and headed back home for more rest.
