TTR TRAINER ID LOTTERY
Hi guys! I know most of you are familiar with the 5-digit ID number generated for your character at the start of every Pokemon game, and not only does it help identify a Pokemon's OT, it's also used for a variety of other things, including a daily lotto (at least in the games where time is kept in some manner) that can net you some pretty fabulous prizes. The intent of this thread to run a Trainer ID-based lotto, where each player generates a unique ID number for their character(s), and depending on interest in said lotto and activity, a weekly/bi-weekly or possibly monthly draw will be made.
It's very simple to participate, though if you choose not to, that is perfectly fine too (though why you would want to miss out on a chance to win some nice prizes for your characters is beyond me). All you have to do to play is post in this thread (one post per character, please use your character's post formatting to help identify them]) and use the Random Number Generator post action to generate a 5 digit number. Simply put 1 as the lowest, and 99999 as the highest, and voila, once your post is submitted, your trainer ID is born. Repeat for secondary characters as necessary. Re-rolls will only be permitted if you get a number very similar to another user, or something silly like 99999 (but if you roll 99999 and want to keep it, that's fine too....).
Once we have some Trainer IDs done (and we can do all sorts of nifty things with them like put them in our profiles or trainer cards... hmm that's all I got...) it's time to start the lotto! The drawings will simply consist of me generating a random number from 1 to 99999 and depending on the number of matches you have (will work the same as in the games), you could win the corresponding prizes. I have yet to figure out prizes, so if you have any ideas, please PM them to me, do not post them here or in the OOC. I will make a list and determine a prize list that won't be game breaking, yet still worth playing for, for example, Pokeballs, medicine items, TMs maybe, cash prizes. :3
That being said, if you have a match after the drawing, you'll have until the next draw is made to claim your prize. Just post in the thread, yaddy yaddy yadda. However, to be eligible to claim a prize, you must be at least moderately active in your character status, so not only is this a fun new thing for us folks here at TTR to do, but it's a nice incentive to keep yourself at least semi-active as well. n_n
If your character wins a prize, you can claim it at any PokeMart in any region. Prizes will not be added to your profile until they are claimed in-game, and as such, players must claim their current prize before they can be eligible for another.
I'm mostly sure this is pretty straightforward, but if you have any questions or comments, please PM them to me or post in the OOC.
