Touring. The academy was still one huge, mysterious place to the witchling and she had taken it upon herself to check it out so that she wasn't getting lost all the time, which she had done plenty since she started. Making her way down the long, dark corridors of the school her eyes scanned it's walls, decorated with pictures of numerous witches who had earned their respected titles over the years. She wondered what she would actually do once she left the academy as she fumbled her lips in thought. 'I came here to escape the quiet life... So I could see what we had been missing all these years but...' She turned to an open window that looked over the beautiful garden surrounding the academy. 'What... Will I do next?'
She tapped her fingers carefully on the ledge, staring out at the colourful array, wondering if it was worth tackling the winding stairs to get down to it. Yup! She had nothing better to do, she doubted with her sense of direction that she would ever work this labyrinth out on her own. With a new, brightly lit smile she took off through an open doorway and made her way down the stairs. A few turns, a couple of corridors and the door which lead to it came in to view. Unlike the library, which she avoided like the plague, she would love studying all the different flowers. Taking in the different scents and finding out which she loved more so she could decorate her vase's with something other than sunflowers.
When she opened the door, she expected it to be filled with people, those who were interested in herbs or alchemy but to her surprise, it was deserted. "Oh..." She mumbled to herself. She would have prefered company but she didn't mind the quiet, it just gave her more room than she would have liked to think; not really wanting to dwell on the more serious topics in life, she quickly preoccupied herself with the flowers.
The first set of flowers were a baby blue in colour, their insides a vibrant yellow. She took the stem carefully between her fingers and leaned over, breathing in. It's scent was sweet, backed up by a stronger odour she thought she may of recognised; a perfume she once bought, perhaps. With a small, delicate smile, she tilted her head making a mental note to get some cuttings and then looked on to the next set of flowers, made up of pink and white pastels.
It got her thinking about what the perfect flower would be.What colours it would posses, the smell of it - if it would be sweet, or spicy? Strong, tangy? Would it change depending on the person? Or would it have an ability to charm whoever came across it and it didn't matter about the details? She took a seat on one of the stone benches, leaned back on her palms and stared up at the ocean above, a few casual clouds floating freely by. She imagined this flower would be rare, found in places where not many people dare tread like the GoF. Stood, alone by either crumbling altar's or a large winding tree. It's petals, one of every colour...
Now she was definitely trying to live a fairy tale. "Come on, back to reality." She uttered to herself. "It's not like you would ever find such a flower, anyway." Oh great, now she had resorted back to talking to herself again!

Marek walked through the garden with a book in his hand. Attempting to identify the various plants and memorize their various magical uses. After identifying what appeared to be a blue rose he heard someone else within the garden. He approached her with a haughty grin on his face. "Well it depends on what kind of flower you are looking for. Each one has it's own unique purpose and meaning," He said with a smile, "Course maybe you are looking for one to cure insanity. You were just talking to yourself."

Liza was too busy staring at the sky to notice that the boy was approaching her, that was until he spoke. She shot to her feet at the sound of anothers voice and quickly turned on her heel, with eyes as wide as plates; taking in the owner of the voice, she stuttered in panic.
"W-what!- O-oh, right-" Heat rose to the witchlings cheeks at the boys observation, making her chuckle nervously, embarrassed about being caught. Her gaze narrowed slowly off to one side. "-W-well I thought there was no one else around, apparently, I was wrong..." Her lips settled on a sweet smile, hoping it may sidetrack him away to a better first impression. Talking to herself had become quite the bad habit.
'Flowers! Right, he said something about flowers. That would make for a great subject change right now!' She thought with an inward sigh. "I was just thinking about the perfect flower." She admitted quietly, calming from the sudden startle. A purpose, it started to sound like everyone was their own flower, as everything had some kind of purpose and meaning.
"If were like flowers, I hope your purpose wasn't to catch me talking to myself." She laughed lightly, making her way slowly over to him. She looked down at the book he held, out stretching her hand towards it, she simply let her finger gently glide down it's side.
"Are you... Studying?" She asked, gaze raising to meet his once more. "Flowers?" 'You could of acted a little more intelligent there, Liza' Despite her contant addition to everything, she was interested in learning a little more about the beautiful, delicate plants that surrounded them.

Marek smiled at how embarrassed the girl was at being found. "Well the garden is a public place after all," He said with a bit of a laugh. "Well there is no such thing as the perfect flower but when combined together in a bouquet with other flowers you could create a perfect arrangement." He was a little taken aback by being asked about his purpose but calmed down when asked what he was studying... though it came off more as flirting than actual curiosity. "Well in a way I am. I studying flowers magical properties and uses. I thought I saw a blue rose back there until I realized it was a white rose which had it's colors magically altered."

After retracting her hand and folding both of them at her chest, she gave a short lived nod. It was an interesting view. "I guess if you see it that way, then an arrangement would actually tell it's own story. With all the purposes and meanings- Anyway, sorry. I'm Liza. It's nice to meet you...?" She smiled widely at him, waiting for his own name to be given , she tilted her head. She didn't have even the slightest clue what the magical properties and uses they had, too many late mornings meant that she had accidentally skipped that class at some point.
"A blue rose?" she looked past him for a moment, trying to spy one out of the many other colourful plants, she caught the glimpse of blue before deciding to head over to get a better look. "How can you tell it's not really blue?" She may of come across as... Some alternate form of special, to put it bluntly but honestly, she thought it was a good question to ask. If she didn't ask then she wouldn't get to know, simple as.
She took a hold of his wrist as she made her way past, and tugged him a long with her to look at the magically enhanced roses. What the boy considered flirting, was actually nothing but natural to Liza. She was very 'touchy' when it came to friendship and always seemed to be man handling her friends and strangers one way or another.
Think of it as making things more comfortable, anyone would rather feel at home wherever they were. Like anyone would however... The possibility of 'awkwardness' was unfortunately lost to the witchling.

"Well Liza it is nice to meet you. I'm Marek," He said as he held out his hand to shake hers. As he was unexpectedly drug over to where the blue rose he sighed. "Because blue rose is not something that can occur naturally. These means it has to have been altered to appear blue. It could either be through magic or science but I'm willing to bet it was through magical means considering the school we are in," He said with a smile, "It was likely meant to be a gift to someone."

"Marek~" She repeated, getting a hang of how the name felt on her tongue. She kept her gaze on him whilst he explained and she gave a nod of understanding in reply when he was done, looking back to the roses. She let go of his wrist and out stretched her hand to take a hold of the flower in her fingers, blinking at it. White, blue, what did it matter? It was beautiful no matter what colour it was.
"That sounds nice." She mumbled, smiling at the thought of being lucky enough to recieve such a gift. "I bet they would look amazing in the moonlight. I'd want to see that, one day." She carefully let go of it watching it merge back in to the group of blue roses and then turned to Marek once more.
"What's your favorite?" She asked curiously; not being able to resist smiling back at him. It was infectious. If there was a man in the world who actually had the sense to admit to having a favorite then she could respect them. Simply mentioning the topic to half the boys at the school would give them a heart attack, no doubt.

Marek thought about the question she had asked and wondered what his favorite flower was. "If I had to pick a favorite it would have to be the black rose. Elegant and beautiful but it represents death and darkness," He said with a smile, "In a way it is the symbol that all things in their own way are beautiful." He was wondering about why Liza was so interested in the plants and flowers but that was a question to answered another day. "Tell me do you know what a white rosebud represents?"

"That's an... Interesting choice." Liza thought about it for a moment, why he would choose black rose. Sinister and gloomy in it's own way, she was going to ask his reasoning but he put the answer in her unspoken words himself. Must of read her mind. She could imagine it being just as beautiful as the other roses however cursed by it's colour, lacked the attention it deserved. They say that the things people like reflected how a person was, so maybe that had something to do with Marek on a personal level.
She shook her head gently. "Can't say I do." She smiled, although willing to take a guess of what it may represent. "Hmm life, innocence or purity maybe? The opposite of a black rose." She chuckled, she wasn't at all sure but that's what came to mind when she pictured the white rose. "What does it represent?" She asked, at last as she moved to his side, lacing her hands together behind her back.

Marek laughed a bit. "Actually it represents youth, beauty, and girlhood. You're guess was close though,"He said with a smile, "Though I only know what I do through study. I guess the flower that describes me best is the Hollyhock. It represents ambition. However perhaps you have an affinity for plants, maybe when you become a full witch your powers will involve flowers."

Liza laughed a little at his reply. "Haha that would be slightly ironic." She shook her head. "Actually, I was just taking a tour of the school, when I looked out of the window I saw the garden and thought it would be better checking out what flowers I could decorate my room with instead of running around this maze in circles." She stuck out her tongue playfully at him, although having the power to grow beautiful flowers, or wrap people in thorns wouldn't be so bad. She could have a vibrant garden and a way of teaching people a lesson who messed with her.
She tilted her head at the word ambition, which caught her keen interest. "Ambition, ey? What is your ambition then?" She smiled widely, she hadn't heard what sort of goals half the students had yet, she was a little miffed of what she was to do in life, so maybe hearing what others would like to do after they graduate would help in that area. "Would you want to take a walk?" She asked with a smile, having stood still and been in one place for far too long already.

Marek smiled and looked at the roses for a bit before saying, "I simply want to be the best. To prove that though majin may appear human we are inherently different from them. I've know from birth what I was and I proudly accept it." He turned towards her and asked, "What about you? Also yes I would like to take a walk with you." He held out his arm for her to grab so they could walk.

Liza stared at him for a few moments, listening to him as his gaze stayed on the roses, her eyes narrowed towards the flowers then slowly returned to the Majin. "Nope... You're definitely the black rose." She smiled, looking to the offered arm, pink tainted her cheeks; a smile, warm and full to show her appreciation of it. She carefully linked her arms around his and used her free hand to rest on his arm. "Oh, erm thank you." She added, before continuing with their conversation. "Not because of death, but because not everyone sees what beauty could be beyond a decieving reputation."
She was going to ask, how he would do it, if he had any idea of where to start and what the path would entail however an air of tention had already made itself clear, in which case liza couldn't help but try lift the mood. Afterall it was a topic people left on dotted lines for the most part. "Which ever path you decide, good or bad, it's cool! So long as you dont take my abilities before I turn someone in to a frog, ok? Then I can die happy." She laughed lightly, looking up at him. She wasn't sure where they were heading yet, maybe just a wander would be nice or grabbing a bite to eat from a near by bakery.
"Me? Well, my ambition isn't nearly as solid, or as big as yours... Little things make me happier. Like, seeing a blue rose under the moonlight, or focusing to make mine and Sidra's club a hit so all kinds of people can gather and get to know each other better. Maybe even mean something to someone one day. Things... Like that." Although after she was done, she figured she should have just dug her own grave or something. She sounded a little stupid.

Marek smiled as he listened to Liza. He guessed there were exceptions among humans since she seemed to genually find the beauty in him. Regardless if his plans included good or evil. "Well I'll be honest I do plan on taking the path of a witch eater. The down side is I'll be hunted by reapers but I plan on showing the good a Witch Eater can provide. However I guess focusing on the little things can be nice," He said as he walked with her, "Perhas I'll join your club." As they walked he grabbed a yellow rose and handed it to her, "A symbol of our friendship."

As the two carried on walking, to wherever the destination laid, she smiled happily looking up to the boy as he explained the path of a witch eater was for him however to show the 'good' it could provide. Liza knew very little other than the stories her parents used to tell her and how her dear friend had portrayed them. Luckily, she was all about giving people the benefit of the doubt instead of catching on to other opions without having experience herself.
"I would like to see what you make of it one day. How things turn out. Maybe you could set a good example and show people that not all are lost souls, like they make them out to be." She whispered, going over thoughts. Her own childhood friend was in her mind, the one that was now a reaper and she sighed lightly. If he ever saw Marek, or Sidra. What would happen? She wasn't sure she could pick sides but she would try to protect them, if she could. "They can!" She chuckled, at the little things comment, smiling more warmly as she skipped past the troubles of the Reapers.
A gasp. He may join their club? "I would like that!" She blurting out so fast she wasn't sure if he had heard it from the joy in her tone. "I mean, if you joined, that is. More the merrier!" She was so happy to hear that someone may be interested in it that she could hardly contain herself from throwing her arms around him in the tightest hug she could muster. Thankfully, her arsm were occupied and wrapped around one of his for the time being. The sweetest thing happened and the pale haired witchling blushed, very gradually but the pink built up till it was covering her cheeks.
"T-thank you." She managed to squeak as she took the flower carefully in her free hand and brought it to her face, taking in it's beautiful scent. He was so polite, it was a shame to see a hard path filled out before him but in a way, she had a feeling he would make a big difference to the world if he tried. She closed her eyes for a moment, the fact that she had been gifted a flower made her happy, then re-opened them to look at Marek once more. "Friendship it is." She smiled, tugging him to a turn that lead in to the town. The cinnamon smell was greater in the alley, even more so when the town started to fill out and the various bakeries became visible.
