Night received a note on his door. All it listed was a name and and a dorm room. Curious he could only think of one thing of certain, the prom blind date. It was a bit early but Night didn't care, he wanted to meet the Ghoul...or Boil that was set up with him. He flipped through his clothing before settling on a nice turtleneck and slacks and a jacket over coat. While it wasn't cold, it was cool as the evening set in and Night liked the jacket. It made him feel all sort of bad boyish. Though it didn't help that his badass image was ruined by the dopey boyish expression on his face. Even his hair which he tried to slick back was falling forward in his face.
"Ah, to the...Ghost dorm I go then." He tucked the note in his pocket as he made his way slowly from the ghost dorms that he called home to the ghost dorms that well...he made home. Though this time is was on the girl's side. It was a bit far off (wait why was this walk taking so long), and the walk let him practice what he would say(Wait no, why is this walk talking so long really!?!?). "Hey, It says we're dates-" Night shook his head at that and tried again, "Hi there, nice to meet you, I'm your blind dat-no no, come on Night your in a host club, pull something out!" He tucked his hands in his pocket and loosely walked into the girls dorms. Nodding his head at the other students he pulled the paper out and located the Dorm room itself. He only stood awkwardly for a minute outside the door before giving it a medium tap.

There wasn't much in the room, because Vieve didn't own much. Sitting at the school-provided desk, she looked around- it wasn't that different from home, really, except home was more run-down and tended to flood when it rained.
With a grimace, the girl pushed all thoughts of 'home' out of her mind; she was here now, in Amityville Academy, and where she came from didn't matter. Three years in this place, and she'd have her dorm room all tricked out and fancy. A canopy bed in place of that rickety thing (even if she wouldn't use it much), a pretty wardrobe full of expensive clothes. Amongst other things.
And then a knock on the door startled her. Luckily there hadn't been much to move in; she was sure she still looked presentable.. not all sweaty and gross. Ughh. Retying her hair quickly, she scooped up a stray Lolita Treat and walked to the door, only to notice a scrap of paper on the ground. Picking it up, she crumpled it and tossed it into the bin. It wouldn't do to have trash around the room, it'd make a bad impression.
Pulling the door open, she looked up to see a boy she didn't know.
"Hello...?"

Night put his hands back into the pockets of his jacket as he waited for the door to open. it didn't take long as he looked into the face of a pretty little elemental. A fire one at that. Something about Heat, passion and other stuff came to his mind but was forgoed with the objective of this visit.
"Hi there." Night's lime green eyes closed into slits as he smiled at her, "Name's Nightengale XIII, how are you today?" He let one of his hands come out and rest on the door jamb, thinking of how to ask her. "I got this note on my door for you." He showed her the note that had her name and dorm room, "It looks like I'll be your date for Prom." His ears twitched, one laying back as his tail came forward. "So What do you say?"....Smooth Night...smooth.

She looked him up and down, a small frown on her face. She didn't find Night impressive in the least- though, what had she been expecting? At least he wasn't huge and muscular, the type who'd swing her over his shoulder and carry her off to some dubious place.
Vieve shuddered at the thought, barely listening as he spoke, until she heard the words 'date' and 'Prom'.. and pricked up her ears. So this was the blind date thing she'd signed up for? A job interview for prom? From what she knew, this year Amityville Academy's prom was based off Oogie Boogie's Dice House, and the thought of running a game of some sort there thrilled her. The amount of money she imagined she'd be able to rake in almost made her dizzy.
"I'd love the job," she said, beaming at him. "How much does it pay?"

"Pay?" Night just stared at her, was he suppose to pay her for the date? Or maybe she was suppose to pay him? "Sorry, Are you paying me? Or am I suppose to be paying you? Not that I would turn down the money of Halloween town, I mean I could always use more books or stuff." He looked at her rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "Thats a weird question to ask Ghoul, especially since you signed up for the blind date thing? What's your name anyways? Or should I keep calling you "Ghoul"?" He snorted before looking over her shoulder into her room, it was quite empty. Ah, A new student for sure, no wonder he hadn't seen her, maybe she didn't know what she signed up for.
"Look, I am not sure how this whole thing works." He bent back down and looked her straight in the eye, giving her a beaming smile back, "I hear we dress formally and attend a dance. Then there's games and stuff." He shrugged, his tail swished around curiously. "So are you going to come with me or....or not?" His ears flattened, he didn't want her to say no because was interested in going. He would love to see some of the people he had met there anyways.

She blinked at him, surprised. This hadn't been about a job offer, then? Night looked embarrassed and somewhat awkward, telling her she's signed up for this 'date' thing herself.
Whoever had set up that box with the forms had been smart, trapping her in this situation. If she recalled right, there hadn't been any fine print to read, just a misleading message. Well- her 'date' for prom was here now, and even if she couldn't make any money, she could at least take the chance to socialise a little, and hanging around someone who'd been in the school longer would prove beneficial: he could introduce her to his friends.
"My name is Vieve," she replied curtly, "And I'd consider it rather rude if you called me 'ghoul' instead, Nightengale XIII."
There was a pause as she regarded him, taking in the tail-swishing and the ear-flattening: signs that she had some control over him.
"I will go with you, but if we're to be dressed formally.. I suppose we'd better co-ordinate, or somesuch. Have you any idea what you'll be wearing?"
Vieve, of course, was well-prepared.

"Nice to meetcha Vieve!" Night's ears perked up and his tail kept swishing, now in excitement. In the corner of his mind he was super pleased by her agreeing upon going, which meant that he was going, and well with a pretty ghoul as well.
"Mind if I call you Vee? or is that offensive?" Night cocked his head at the full use of his name, man he had never heard someone use it all. "Uh, you can just call me Night for short Vieve. That way its not a mouthful all the time." Night winked at her.
"Dress? oh of course, Ghoul's are kinda of picky about it huh?" He smiled again and tapped his chin thoughtfully, "Well I am not so good with all this stuff, I mean I got a tux and what not but that's all? What color is your dress? I'll have to try and match little things to it." Night let his tail swish again, the ribbon dancing on the ground below.

He gave her more the impression of an easily placated puppy than a cat, to be honest. Cats rummaged around bins and snuck into houses and stole your food and hissed at you if you yelled at them.
Vieve did not typically like cats. She wouldn't say she liked Night, either, but at least he was proving to be somewhat endearing with the way he seemed so eager to please.
"Vee's fine, Night." She left out the 'nice to meet you' on purpose, and ignored his wink- the only type of wink that appealed to her was the sparkle of coins, though Night wouldn't be expected to know that.
"If you're going with me, you'd better dress up well." She frowned at him, taking in the details of his current outfit. All that green would probably clash with her orange-yellow, though she did like that he was mostly clad in black. She could fix that.
Turning, she headed to her newly-filled-up wardrobe and rummaged around, finally pulling out a gown.
"I'll be wearing this," she said, twirling it around and admiring it. Her own handiwork, of course- she didn't have the money to buy something expensive, so she had to be able to make something that looked it.
"You can find something to match it... can't you?" He'd mentioned owning a tux, which was a starting point, at least. A ray of hope.

Night smiled, ah a step in the right direction. At least he got to call her by a shortened name, usually that was reserved for friends. "Awesome Vee." He continued to keep that smile on. Though the girl seemed a bit difficult, even hesitant to him which he knew was fine. He was use to it because of him being an unlucky cat, not many could look past the fact that he was born and emitted the aura of a unlucky cat.
"Not a problem." He looked down at his clothes and smiled, they were comfy and again made him feel badass but it was definitely not the attire for Prom, he had been educated on that. He watched as she went back into her room and then return with a lovely gown, the orange and yellow seemed like fire against the black. Though again, Yellow and orange weren't his style, he loved the look of the gown and smiled at her.
"Wow its stunning, you'll look gorgeous." Night bent forward to look closer at it, "You'll be one of the prettiest ghoul's there Vee, Glad your going with me." He pulled back and smiled, "So Yellow orange, I think I'll be able to manage." That meant a visit to the Maul to find a tie....and some flowers cause well, she needed some pretty flowers to go with a pretty dress.

He knew how to pay compliments, at least. Of course he'd be glad to go with her- who wouldn't? She gave him a smile for that, anyway, he deserved it. Would he really be able to pull off her colour scheme, though? She stared at him, mentally dressing him up.
The first thing that had to go was that tattered ribbon on his tail. She had a ribbon she could loan him, and offered to do that. As for his outfit..
"I wouldn't mind helping you pick something out. And a pair of sunglasses, because your green eyes would probably clash with the orange."
Night was a nice boy, luckily for Vieve- it was unlikely she'd get away with being so ridiculously rude to some other students.
((YES SERIOUSLY VEE I'M GOING TO SLAP YOU RIGHT ABOUT NOW LMAO))

Night was deep in thought when he heard Vee offer to help him pick out stuff. Oh! That would be so much easier then.
"Sure! How about we go to the Maul, I have enough money for clothes if you wanna help me pick me out some. Oh and I'll buy you lunch, and some flowers." he mumbled the last part out, he wanted the flowers to be a surprise but he didn't mind taking her at all. "I have my wallet on me so whenever you feel like, especially if its today, I don't mind going?"
He pulled out one of his favorite shiny objects, a Gold doubloon he had fished out of the water, and if he traded it, he could get a small fortune to pay for his clothing and anything else Vee thought was necessary.

Night might be taken aback at the sudden sparkles in Vieve's eyes.
It was really creepy. But the girl couldn't help herself; the idea of going shopping and not having to pay for it was ridiculously appealing to her. If anything, her goal in life was to live like this: getting things she didn't have to pay for, saving up her own money.
She might not be a dragon, but close enough- all she wanted to do was sit on a pile of gold. Vieve eyed the coin he took out of his pocket, and beamed at him. Whoever had paired them up had done a brilliant job, after all, and he was quickly gaining points with her.
"Give me a moment to get my purse," she said, smiling, almost bursting into giggles.
"Prom's tomorrow, isn't it? We'd better get prepared."

Night watched as Vee's eyes took on a curious sparkle as he pulled out the coin. Bingo. He smiled as she eyed the shiny and knew, she must be part of a dragon clan, or maybe she was a cat? Who knew though, Shinies were awesome and really, who didn't love them!
"Oh!" He took the ribbon before she went into her room and smiled at it. A treasure. "Thank Vee, This'll be awesome to replace the green one. Good thing it matches."
"Yep, Take your time! I'll wait here for you." He smiled at her again, flipping the gold coin through his hands. his thoughts drifted for a moment as he thought of all the shinies he had in his house. There was some he wouldn't sell over, some that worth nothing, some that worth whole lot of money. Either way, He usually only sold the ones he really didn't need.
"Yep, Prom is tomorrow!" He called out, as he leaned on the door jamb, letting his tail flick in and out of the dorm room. "Is there anything you want at the Maul as well Vee, It'll be my treat for today." He pocketed the coin with other ones he carried around. Usually for spontaneous shopping trips. Its how he had so many cat minipets too.

Feeling almost dizzy with joy at the word "treat", she practically skipped back into her room. Treats were Vieve's greatest love, even if Night hadn't meant the minipet per se- the word still excited her.
After plopping the lolita treat in her arms on the bed and patting it on the head, Vieve turned and grabbed her purse from the table. It was empty, but that wouldn't matter- not today, when Night was paying. Glee! She had to fight to suppress her giggles as she locked the door and slipped the key back into her purse, her eyes locked on the gold coin he was playing with.
Oh, today would be a good day.
Slipping her arm through his, Vieve smiled up at Night as charmingly as she could.
"Shall we go, then? There's a lot to do before prom.."

Night liked Vee's smile, so he continued to smile back at her. Actually he hadn't not been smiling since he met her. A curious ghoul indeed, handing her the gold coin he escorted her out of the dorms and straight on the path to the maul.
It wasn't a long trip walking, and flew by for the two ghost, or at least he though it had since she seemed entertained by the gold coin while he chattered about nonsense. As they entered the cooling doors of the maul, he let her drag him around to where ever her little heart desired.
"Hey!" He said as he held a ice cream in his hand, a similar one in Vee's hand as he pulled her to a stop in front of shop that specialized in girl's clothing. His hands we're full of purchases already and he still had some money left over. "We still have to get you a thank you gift Vee." Night nudge her towards the door of the shop which specialized in lacy nice clothing.
