Akemi opened his eyes slowly to the bright sun's rays. Just as he got up, a scientist instantly began hovering around the nineteen-year-old young adult with a pencil and notebook. The scientist wrote some notes, poked Akemi, and began furiously writing again. Already used to it, Akemi began doing his morning rituals, trying to ignore the scientist as much as possible. His feet made no noise on the cold, steel floors as he wandered about in his room.
There was nothing to see in the room except for the steel walls, ceiling, and floors. Then there were the few necessities: a bed, a dresser, and a bathroom next door. To amuse Akemi, the scientists had placed stuffed animal versions of swans and doves. Akemi despised that and refused to touch the toys whenever he was prompted to. He found it cruel and unbearable as he, himself was part swan and dove.
Finally Akemi was done with everything and peeked out of his room with the scientist not to far away from him. He looked out into the halls to find his crush: Stephan Vanhyusen. Akemi flapped his wings out with excitement as he gazed around to get a glimpse of him.

Stephan had wokken up earliest of all the group and he'd walked out of his room to sit at a table in the middle of the dinning area, which all of the group's rooms opened up to. He greeted two of the other guys of the group when they came out and the three males were laughing and talking when Akemi had looked out at them. The topic they were talking about was quite peculiar though, " Hey, Stehpan, what do you think of Kylie? She's totally into you man.*" one of the two guys'd said, his name was Darrel, " Kylie? I dunno', she's nice an everything, but I just don't really like her all that much, she's too clingy.*" replied Stephan. The other guy, Trevor, laughed and fake punched Stephan, " Yeah, whatever. You were totally flirting with her yesterday-*" " Trev, I flirt with just about anyone. Well, at least anyone that's good looking." he laughed as the other two guys rolled their eyes. " Damn, you three are as loud as ever.*" a deep female voice called. The three guys looked over to see one of the girls walk out of her room, " Stacy! What are you doing up this early? You usually sleep 'till noon." Darrel called, pulling a chair over to the table the guys were at and patting the seat for Stacy to sit with them, " She just discovered the cure to cancer, that's why she's up so early, what do you think idiot?" Trevor smacked the back of Darrel's head, looking at Stacy, " Sorry 'bout that Stace." he said as the girl sat down next to Stephan and Darrel, " Whatever, it's not like waking up early every once in a while'll kill me." " Yeah, Stace here is a tough chick." Stephan joked, laughing as Stacy raised an eyebrow. She shook her head and cleared her throat, " Y'know, it's rude to eavesdrop my boy." she called, turning her head and looking over her shoulder to look at Akemi peeking through a crack in his door. [If you'd like, you can play some of the other's in the group, bt if not I can play them. ^^ *Orange-Stacy; She's mutated with a PANDA! x3 She's 17 Navy- Stephan; You alreday know what he's mutated with. He's 24 (duh.) Green-Trevor; He's mutated with a cat. He's 21 Red- Darrel; He's mutated with a bunny, (if you couldn't already guess from the picture. xD) ^^ He's 19. Just in case you, (or I xD) get confused on the colors.]

Akemi peeked out of him, blushing at getting caught. "H-hello everyone ....." he murmured before disappearing back into his room. The young adult was still quivering with fear of Stacy. He never really talked to her much since he really didn't have anything to say to her. Akemi rolled himself into a ball on his bed, not wanting to go out anymore. He tried to shoo the scientist away to get some privacy but he just didn't listen. The scientist wrote some notes as he poked Akemi hard. Akemi yelpef out in pain as he glared at him. 'Go away," he thought. 'Just go away...' Finally he crept out of his room and entered the dining area with the man still following him. He tried to shoo the scientist away again but that only made the scientist adjust Akemi's collar on him and write notes as fast as he could. Akemi rolled his eyes and went down to greet the group members yet again.
{Mm I don't think I'll be able to remember the characters and their colors that well. :/ I don't know their personalities either that well so I can't really roleplay that well......}

Stephan watched as Akemi came closer to the dinning area, the scientist high on his heels, and as Akemi got closer, he passed over a white line that surrounded the dinning area, the scietist oblivious to it, that's when Stehan stood up and sighed, "Oi, lab coat dork. You know the rules. You guys aren't allowed to pass that line, and you can't change that rule either since you guys made it." he called, but the scientist ignored him, still intent on getting notes on Akemi. Sure, Stephan was probably the one to joke around the most in the group, but he was the oldest as well, so he was normally the one to talk back to the scientists. He walked over to Akemi and the scientists, putting his arm out and stopping the scientist dead in his tracks, his relaxed and jpking smirk had vanished and he was frowning, "You heard me, you can't go past that line. Plus, you need to learn a bit about personal space too." he said, raising his eyebrows. The scientist knew that he couldn't really do much now and he scowled at Stephan as he left the area, shutting a heavy metal door behind himelf loudly.
"Someone's not happy with you, Stephan." Stacy smirked, looking at the door the scientist stormed out of, "Since when did they ever like Stephan. They're such a**es, but that's what Stephan's here for. To kick their a**es if they're a**es to us- ow!" Darrel said, brubbing the back on his head, glaring at Trevor, "Now is that anyway to talk in front of a girl? I swear you're the biggest idiot out there." trevor muttered. Trevor was a lot like Stephan was. He was the second oldest, so he was always looking out after the other's as well. Darrel rolled his eyes, "It's not like she's little Miss Perfect either. You should hear her when you're not around Trev!" he said in defence of himself.
Stephan ignored the other three's quarrel and turned to Akemi, smiling warmly, "Mornin'. Sleep well?" he asked, folding his arms. [That's alright, I'm just making them up as I go. xD And you don't have to have colors if you don't want to, I only did that because it makes my posts look more like a rainbow. x3]

Akemi backed away from the scientist, trying to get away from him as much as he could. He blushed as he heard Stephan defend him from the man. Akemi wanted to hug him so badly but knew he couldn't. He was way too shy to even try that. "T-thanks," Akemi stuttered as Stephanie managed to get the scientist away from him. He flapped his wings happily when he hear Stephan address him and he turned to see his face. "Morning Stephan! Yeah I slept well except in the morning that man kept following me.... I don't like him at all... He treats me like an animal! " Akemi blushed again. "W-whoops, I said too much again ....." He smiled up at Stephan innocently, the only kind of smile he gave just to Stephan. The young adult shifted his large bird feet awkwardly as he spoke to him. "What about you? Did you sleep well?"
A scientist stood behind the white line as he called out Akemi's name. Akemi's head shot up right away as he trodded over to him to talk to the man. Akemi knew the man well as the scientist had quite a friendly nature. He would always give the bird boy candy and small gifts secretly without his coworkers knowing. Akemi kept sure that he hid the presents well too.
"Hi Akemi!" the man greeted him. "Ready for your observations today or are you going to eat breakfast?"
Akemi smiled cheerfully at the scientist. "Hi Mr. Collins! Um, I'm ready. What are we doing today?"
"Today......" Mr. Collins checked his clipboard that he had. "Today we are going to put you in a habitat with swans and see how they interact with you. Then we'll work with the doves. Is that okay?"
"Do I have to go?" Akemi grumbled.
The scientist handed him a lollipop. "I know, I know. These tests seem pointless to you. I rather have a happy Akemi than an annoyed one but we have to do the tests.
Akemi unwrapped the lollipop and began sucking on it. "It's not nice to bribe me to take those tests. They keep staring and touching me. I don't like it at all."
The scientist just smiled and laughed as he patted Akemi's head. "Okay, then I'll wait for you over in the room, okay?" Then he turned and left into a room.

Stephan chuckled and tousled the young boy's hair when he spoke about the scientist, " Oh, don't worry about them, just whenever they get a little too much up in your business, just come tell me. They won't admit it, but they're scared of me." he laughed, then shrugged, " Eh, I slept alright, same as ever, no dreams, non interesting." he smiled, then looked over at the scientist whom called out to Akemi, and for a moment, he was hesitant to let Akemi go, but before he could do anything, Akemi had already made his way over to the man in the white lab coat. Sighing, Stephan walked back over to the tables, sitting at an empty one and leaning the chair back on two legs, watching Akemi and the scientist. He didn't really trust that scientist in particular, he seemed a bit to... nice to be someone who'd want to watch over twelve people, day and night, like they were animals. Back at the table that held the three others, Trevor and Darrel had manage to get caught up in an arm wrestling match while Stacy tried to stay awake. Another person had joined them, a young girl, the youngest of them all. Her name was Diana, " You do know that you're not going to win, right Darrel?" she asked, munching on some snacks that she'd always managed to have that appeared out of no where. Darrel grunted, " Shut up Diana, it's none of your business." he said, obviously struggling to keep his arm up from touching the table. Trevor just rolled his eyes, " Don't worry about him Diana, there isn't a thing in the world that you could say to him that'd get through that fat head of his." he said, smirking as Darrel was now about an inch from loosing.

Akemi blushed and lowered his gaze. "Really? Thank you so much...." he murmured and smiled happily. He then looked up at Stephan. "No dreams?" he asked. "Maybe someday you'll dream!"
Akemi had trotted over to Stephan, holding a bunch of candy the scientist had given him before leaving. "You want some?" he asked, giving the smile he always gave to Stephan. The young adult sensed someone was staring at him and glanced around, only to see the same annoying scientist that kept taking notes of him. He scowled and made sure he was far away from the white line. Akemi glared at him, hoping that he would disappear soon, but the scientist was still there, now inching forward to the white boundary line. His large bird feet made no sound as he moved closer to Stephan. The scientist was now at the very edge of the line. But Akemi knew he couldn't get any closer to him. Still though, it made him more alert and agitated.

Stephan smirked, shaking his head, "No, I'm good. I'm not much of a sweets fan." he said as Akemi offered him some candy. He noticed the scientist from before and shot a glare at him, making him jump a little, then from the heavy metal door, a female scientist called his name, "Looks like I'm up first today." he muttered under his breath, standing up and walking over to the female scientist, but on his way he paused next to the scientist that was bugging Akemi, and he leaned close to him, whispering something to him, and as Stephan began to walk away, the scientist's knees began to shake and he looked like he'd seen a ghost. Stephan disappeared through the door with the scientist that'd called his name, shortly followed by the other scientist and that left the room silent.
"I hope they don't hurt him lke they did last time... I didn't like seeing him with such an exhausted face and trying to smile and act tough for us..." Stacy said, hugging her knees and staring at the metal door. Darrel rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly, "Don't worry, Stephan's tough. Besides, the last time they did that he scared every single one of those scientist just by looking at them. Even Ty! And he can probably throw a freaking train three miles! Up!" he said, sighing and folding his arms on the table, letting his head rest on them, "I'm actually more worried what might happen to any of us. You know that we're his weak spot and that they're going to use us to make him 'behave', or whatever." he added sorrowful. Diana hiccuped, and her little piggy ears drooped, "But... Stephan's going to make sure they don't hurt us though... right?" she asked, begoming nervous and eating more as a result. Trevor looked at the three, then Akemi, sighing and folding his arms as he glared at the table, "Don't worry. He'll be fine. Besides, if you say stuff like that they'll take advantage of your fear. They do it all the time." he said.

Akemi stared as Stephan left. He felt scares and insecure without him being beside him. He sighed and crossed the white line to go to do his own observations. Just as he crossed the line, the scientist from before yanked him down. The scientist was bolder now with Stephan being gone. Akemi yelped out in pain as his head slammed down on the floor. He got up and pretended like it was nothing to him. But as soon as he got up again, the scientist grabbed his collar and began choking him. Akemi supposed it was revenge for having Stephan help him and scare off the scientist like that. Another scientist came out and observed the scene. Akemi grasped at the thick hands that clasped his throat and tried to pry it away. He was gasping for air, sure that he was going to die at the spot. More scientists came, snickering and pointing at the helpless bird boy. He kicked at the air, hoping and praying that the man would let go of him.

Trevor jumped up from his seat, knocking over the chair and receiving a loud thunk as he stormed over to the scientist and Akemi, prying the man's hands from the young bird boy, "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Have you gone insane?" he yelled, knocking the scientist over when he punched him in the face. Darrel help Akemi up and sat him down at a table, making sure he was okay. Trevor hissed at the scientist, kicking him in the side when he tried to get up, "I could care less if you're doing some sick test, but going to the point of harming the younger and weaker of us is sickeninig and I won't deal with it. Stephan might not do anything to you when we're around, but I sure as hell will." he growled, pulling the scientist up by the collar and bringing his fist back, ready to punch him again.
"Trevor... You know how I feel about violence." Stacy said, grabbing his hand and holding it back just before it made contact with the scientist face, "Get back in the circle. Now." she said, her voice cool and eerie as she gave a death stare to the scientist on the ground. Trevor threw the man down, opening his mouth to say something to Stacy, but he thought better of it, walking over to Akemi, "You alright? Looks like you're beginning to get bruise marks already..." he said, tilting Akemi's chin up so he could see it better, making sure that the bruises weren't too bad.
Stacy crouched down to the man, her face was blank as she stared at him, "That wasn't very nice Mr. Scientist... You can't do that to him, or anyone us." she said, her voice still eerie and cool as she stood up, grabbing the back of the man's collar and dragging him off to her room, tilting her head back, "Darrel... don't let Diana come over here this time..." she said, throwing the man in the room with incredible force that is quite unexpected with her small and delicate looking body, then she shut the door behind her, leaving them in silence.

Akemi crashed down to the floor as the scientist let go of him. He was grateful when Darrel helped him up and bring him to the safe area where the scientists couldn't reach him. The bird boy clung onto him, crying softly and whimpering. He moved his body to find a source of comfort. He was so used to being abused alrady but still couldn't help tearing up. His delicate body was full of bruises and scars that the scientist had given him so that he couldn't touch anyone without being hurt himself. Akemi grabbed onto Darrel and wouldn't let go, scared that the scientist would come after him more afterwards since his friends had defended him from him. He nearly cried out in pain as Trevor lifted his chin up. Akemi let out a quiet whimper as his friend inspected him.
"I-I'm alright," Akemi tried to assure him. But his petite body was still shivering from the trauma.
