 "410....410..." Vera muttered as she walked down the hall. seeing the number, she hesitated at how grand the door seemed compared to everything else, but then resolutely placed her key set in the lock with a determined and almost-angry look. eyeing her with mild skepticism, Ryuu went on ahead, Greator waking up enough to jump onto the mountain lion's big back. with a grunt/growl that was muffled because of the paper in his mouth, Ryuu turned to Vera with an aggrieved look "here...i got these" she said, taking the papers from his teeth. ignoring the slight indents in the paper and slimy wet spots, she stood in the doorway after closing and re-locking the door to read the classes as Ryuu scoped out the room, something he always did in a new enclosed place if he was worried about the safety or acceptability of a place for Vera to spend a lot of time in. he probably startled any other inhabitants, being so large for a mountain lion as well as being feral-looking. Greator wouldn't help, hissing at any unknown people as well, burping out little flames (WHAT an introduction, right?? XD)

  With a magazine in hand, Aurora was lounging in her favorite chair. Its deep blue and soft upholstery was perfect for her lazy moods and was still comfortable when she chose to sit upside down, such as now. As she heard the door open, she automatically glanced up, surprised to see, what looked in her mind, to be a mountain lion. She jumped up quickly, but the sight of a girl immediately allowed her to relax. Taking a moment, she remembered what her sister mentioned only minutes before, and instead began speaking. "Oh. You must be Vera? You're pets are adorable! Oh my gosh, a lion and dragon? Where are they from? Where are you from?" she rambled, with random thoughts and questions thrown in. Soon, she forced herself to calm down, and politely extended her hand, saying, "I'm Aurora. Sorry for being so inquisitive...both Dawn and Seth find me annoying in that way."
"Yes, we do. Because it is annoying." As if on cue, a man appeared in the hallway, a towl slung on the shoulders of his bare torso. With one hand in the pocket of his jeans, he motioned behind him, stating to Aurora, "I'm done with the bathroom." Glancing to the girl, his eyes grew curious as to the creatures beside her, and her identity. Yet, he would allow her to introduce herself, and instead took the opportunity to say, "Uh, I'm Seth." Sitting down, he picked up the discarded magazine, not bothering to say any more.

(i had to check where i claimed she originated from XD) Vera seemed to jump a little as Aurora spoke, and shook her head slightly as she looked up from the sheets she was holding "he's a wyvern, not a dragon..." she replied, her low earthy voice sounding like a sigh as if she kept repeating herself. which, in a small way, she had...she just didn't understand the common misconception since they looked quite a bit different. but she knew living among real dragons it was easier for her to tell the difference between all the "draconic" species, as well as the different clans or tribes of dragons. she held her own hand out, gripping the siren's hand in return with a strong, iron-steady clench, though gentle enough to keep her fingers intact. she almost yanked the siren's arm too hard, not being used to the gesture though having seen it before. after that short pull she immediately released her hand and blushed awkwardly when Seth came in. shaking her head again, she wrinkled her nose at them, unconsciously making herself look cuter that way as she continued in her quietly melodious voice "they sort of, adopted me...when i left the Windsoar mountains...so they're more family than pets. and it's alright. I'm just not used...to...people" she said with a small embarrassed shrug, slightly red again
"my name's Vera Silversoul-of-the-Winds" she told them with a small bow and the knuckle to her forehead in a draconic salute. She turned to look at the young man with her head to the side in her characteristic cute/confused/intrigued look "it's fine with me...i guess" grabbing Greator before he could launch himself at Aurora, he eeped and growled at Seth after shooting a small one-foot flame at the male oh stop it she growled at him in his dialect of Lesser Dragon, sounding harsher than her mild admonishment. she kept a tight hold of him, looking slightly dismayed as the paper caught on fire from his blast "now look what you did..." she said in english, frowning slightly to what looked like a pout. seeming nonchalant, she simple GRABBED the flame as basically PULLED it off of the paper. sighing, she closed her hand on it and it disappeared. closing her eyes for a moment to enjoy the quick spread of warmth she felt whenever she absorbed outside fire, she opened them again to stare neutrally at Greator "behave, or ill make Ryuu watch you...oh, this is Greator and this is Ryuu, by the way..." she said, introducing the wyvern and the mountain lion respectively.
almost looking sad, the wyvern crawled to curl his tail around her neck as he lay morosely along her shoulders. with a small sigh she patted his head on her left shoulder, remembering to put the key away. slipping it into her outfit somewhere, she looked nervous and uncertain "umm...where am i going to be sleeping...? anywhere's fine, as long as it has a window if i can't find something to keep Greator's, um...leavings from ruining things" she said, a bright red since she felt weird talking about her family's internal systems but had no problem being open and blunt about things like sex. she had a weird mind that way "anywhere's fine with me! i just, well...need to know..." she blushed red some more "and, um...." she started to dig a toe into the carpet, then stopped when she realized she might make it irreparable. she couldn't finish, since even with dragons she's seen a lot of riches but all the different shiny and painted surfaces were new to her, and slightly frightening. she also felt dirty since everything was in off-white and creamy colors, and while dragons were fastidious for hygiene she DID literally just come from a cave, and she didn't have scales to shed dirt easily. Ryuu grumbled deep in his large chest reassuringly as he nudged against her legs, making her wobble a bit since his head came to about her elbow....he was a BIG cat, bigger than normal. dropping her hand to his head automatically to rub his ears, making his purr with a bass voice that made the floor vibrate, she stood there with her head down and hiding her face behind her hair as she also rested her free hand on Greator's head, making him make a noise similar to a purr, but burblier and with chirps(poor vera, she's too afraid to ask for a bath and clothes since seth just told the bathroom was ready to AURORA....lol)

Aurora's bright eyes filled even more interest as the young girl explained her pets, or apparently, family. Not catching Vera's upset/annoyed tone at the wyvern being called a dragon, she continued speaking energetically, "Cool! Does he fly?" Gasping at a sudden thought, she couldn't help but blurt her curiousity, "Do they have magic? Do you have magic?" However, she was easily distracted by the strong grip of thier shake, and was releived when she was released. With the sharp tingling in her fingers ebbing away, her attention was moved to the gesture the girl gave; a knuckle to the forehead? Having never seen such a greeting, she was prompted to say, "Uh, welcome!"
Seth eye's narrowed with annoyance at the voice of his niece. The junior was constantly talking and it seemed that her questions were endless. Albiet almost amusingly, it seemed as if Greator was just as bothered by the current events. What Seth didn't expect, was the wyvern's sudden hostility from the small creature. Before he could flinch from the flame, it seemed as if the blue-haired girl was able to resolve it by not only speaking with him, but absorbing the flame. Wow. With his thoughts now focused on the draconic girl, he was unable to speak without a slight smirk, as it was obvious that the question of her holding magic was answered. "Welcome to Reed's Vera."
With it clear that this girl belonged within the school's vast range of knowledge, both sirens in the room were taken aback by her sudden switch to a calm and almost shy tone. Her words sounded humble, and she seemed unexpectantly sweet. Her red cheeks portrayed a certain innoncence that was ignored by Aurora's persistent statements. "We have two rooms open,and one has a tremendous window that you might like! And the colors are matching, and your little lion can lounge on a sofa and little dragon can-" Standing quietly, Seth was able to swiftly silence his neice by placing his left hand over her mouth. Clearing his throat, he took the time to speak. "We can show you both rooms if you please."

(no, though she might be busy keeping her family busy XD at least Greator...and CAN'T talk without smirking? come on... rolleyes he's not nice to ANYONE, is he...?? D: not even poor lil vera... )
Greator answered the question himself with a questioning chirp to Vera. dropping her arm and nuzzling him with her cheek without seeming to be bothered by his rough scales, she nodded. without moving her head she just tilted it slightly as Greator jumped off her shoulder to fall...and bounce from the carpet with a flip. wings busy, he zoomed around the area to explore, Ryuu rolling his eyes and following. Vera kept her gaze on the two, seeming able to follow their movements even though they were out of sight. though she was technically following their sounds as they commented to each other, her ears twitching every now and then and sometimes independently. she seemed more confident like this, though she was still a touch red and her hands were clasped behind her back "thank you..."
merely blinking with a raised eyebrow at Seth that seemed contrarily amused on Vera's normally cheerful or shy face at his smirk. she turned to Aurora with a soft smile and a surprisingly musical little laugh for a throat that was able to grate out the Lesser Dragon dialect "Ryuu's far from little; he's actually abnormally large for a mountain lion...and Greator's a wyvern..." she repeated herself, her eyes looking tired while the rest of her face was neutrally polite, still kind of cutely shy "just whichever is most convenient for you, though the window would be most helpful..." she said, waiting to follow them.
when they started walking, she turned to Seth, guessing by his reaction something of his thoughts, though without knowing them. uncannily guessing Vera explained "that's technically not magic...i just have a...connection, of sorts...with Greator that allows me to absorb energy he puts out that happens to be sort of, umm...aligned?...with my own personality and self" a knowing and old-seeming look entered her eyes as she seemed amused at what this would reveal. being shy and calm, no one would guess that fire, the raging wild element of passion and unrestrained emotions, would be prevalent enough in her personal character makeup to be able to control and absorb the wyvern's flame. going back to her normal shy self, she shrugged "i will try not to be a burden...i can even cook a little, and i promise you nothing would get burned. i think. i have never been around this type of place before..." she said, since most diplomats respected her family enough to come to THEM if there was a dispute with her specific clan. she scratched her shoulder, since the tattoo she was born with itched, making her frown slightly. though seeing how pale she looked in some places, they might assume she was dusty and wanted a bath
(hint, hint XD offer to let her BAAAAAATHE....lmao. sorry, i just want her to get more; presentable XD and i guess show of her pearly perfect skin that's almost as tough as dragon scales d: mweheheheh...lmao XD)

Watching with wide and curious eyes, Aurora was intrigued by the wvyern's and lion's actions. They were so cute and she wanted to speak with them for some odd reason. However, she soon realized that she couldn't continue speaking with her uncle's hand covering her mouth. Crossing her arms, she tore away as she told him sullenly, "Fine. I'll be quiet. You could just ask."Ignoring the complaint of his niece, Seth listened to Vera's explanation of the flame trick, although he would still call such a bond magic. However, he was more surprised by the soft voice that came from her, as it held a sort of tone that he'd only heard among his people. Shrugging off the thoughts, he chose to focus on the task at hand. The male gave a nod before simply walking along the hallway, pointing out the rooms as they came across them. "Dawn's room. Aurora is across. I'm next to her." he began before pausing between two rooms. One next to Dawn's bedroom and the other beside Seth's bedroom. After opening the door to both, he started speaking again, unphased by Aurora's sudden fascination of Greator and Ryuu. The blue-haired siren was following the two, still sure that one was a lion and the other a 'dragon.' "You can have either room."Running a hand through his hair, he motioned to another door, "That's the bathroom. Since Aurie is preoccupied with her friends, I suggest you take the time to use it." Leaning against the frame of his own room, he waited for the new room-mate's choice of sleeping quarters. {ooc: Seth is...haughty...and unfortunately, he would love to see Vera more 'presentable' ;3 lmfao! But no, he isn't usually nice to anyone~
Ah, Aurora is so stubborn and...hyper..she'll always call greator a dragon xD
And 'Cause I discovered that the Staff and Family Dorms were '300's, so I changed the shorter list (family dorms) to 400's ^^ Sorry for the confusion D:}

(mkay, got it....and while i realize that, it's still like "ummm, she's gonna feel REAL invited by that -_- and actually, that would be MOST fortunate he wants her clean XD she's used to bathing in mountain streams everyday XD cold and invigorating! XD i like the room next to seth, but i don't think he would want to hear lotsa noises XD) Vera looked at the two rooms, and seemed to pale as she saw all the different furniture and strange fabrics "oh dear..." she thought to herself, a hand covering her mouth thoughtfully. stepping into the one next to his, Vera was able to visualize where she would store things. sighing a bit wistfully at the balcony, she shook her head on the way out "i like this room, but i bet you wouldn't appreciate the noise or potential smells with my family" making a face, Vera strode into the room next to Dawn's "i will go ahead and take this one then, thank you" she replied softly, her downcast eyes looking oddly harsh and determined for having such a quiet and docile manner and voice. jutting her jaw firmly, she mentally called her friends back to her as she headed to the bathroom "thank you for letting me stay here....if i can help with something, you only have to ask" she said with a small confident smile as she went into the bathroom. water could be heard, and then some splashing as Greator zipped in, trying to get away from Aurora. Ryuu just shook his head with resignation, and waited patiently in front of the door, lying down with his head on his paws as he eyes Seth warily (i know the pic looks different, but her hair IS supposed to be more of a silver, mebbe blue-ish gray at the most ^^; but it's like dark steel/bluegray >.< and does the bathroom have a bath too, or just the shower?? o.0 lmao)(and which tone, the one that makes her ALMOST siren-like? XD i don't remember mentioning it, but oh well XD im tired, please don't kill me XD)

After studying Vera's reactions to each room, Seth was surprised when she chose one that earned a less excitable expression. When she explained, he simply shrugged as he mentioned, "I don't mind either way." He would leave it at that, finding no reason to argue or discuss her decision. Her offer to provide help was given a courteous nod and smile, but the siren otherwise went on his way and to his own room.
Aurora's face settled into a slight pout as Greator left, but she was quick to recover as she remembered the time of day. Her eyes lit up with a smile as she dismissed herself from her uncle by popping her head in his door. "I'll be back later~!" Ignoring his questioning look, as the topic of her comapny was not easily given, she gave a small and friendly wave before snatching a blue hand bag and zipping out of the dorm.

(yay....she's trying to teach Greator how to swim XD actually, i dunno; that just came to mind XD which character? and whatinheck dyou mean about the "subject of her company" not easily being given? =_= i confuzzled; a beau?) Vera tilted her head back in the tub, sitting to soak, also playing with Greator every now and then by making little waves with small winds for him to chomp at and try to "catch", often getting her wet. tired, and sad since she felt she couldn't show all her emotions, actually not many of them, she looked at the wyvern somberly. feeling her mood he chirped at her, rubbing his cheek against her exposed body to make her smile "i don't think he likes me much..." she told him with deadly seriousness "i don't care if it's his normal attitude...he acts like he hates me..." sinking down until only her knees were above the water, she blew bubbles out from her puffed cheeks. when she ran out of air, she drained the murky water out and took a shower, not knowing what to do about her hair "gah, i forgot to grab soapweed" she told him, making an annoyed look at herself "oh well..." sighing, she carefully brought out her various draconic parts to clean them as well, though it frustrated her she couldn't do them all at once. only after that did she finally scrub mercilessly at her silver hair.
pushing it to her back, she washed her clothes too, since she didn't have any extras at the moment. when they were done she hung them on the edge of the shower. naked in the bathroom with her hair hanging down in her face, she whispered a small command. a small tiny flame appeared in her upraised palm, and a small wind cyclone appeared around it. the flame seemed to melt INTO the wind, warming it as she sent it around her clothes. for herself to dry, she merely raised her internal temperature to around one hundred degrees farenheit, and the ater just evaporated. done with her clothes, she sent the wind to play with her hair, drying it out to fuzzy poofiness as she got dressed. sensing she was done, Ryuu moved away from the door so she could come out. dry and smelling just a touch musky from her having gotten the dragon half of her wet, she went into the room she had chosen. Greator made a complaining noise and Ryuu rumbled at him though he looked up at Vera questioningly "the other room's all WHITE, and im going to do as little as possible to be a problem to them. this isn't home anymore, so there are obviously different rules. if you guys stay on your best behavior, i PROMISE you we will get out as often as possible so you two can release whatever pent-up energy you have here..." Greator cheeped and Ryuu nodded. Opening the window Vera let Greator out, after reminding him not to eat anything that looked like it belonged to someone else
after he left, she looked at Ryuu "what do you think?" he just shook his head slowly, and she got the meaning behind it clearly in her mind "i know, we're gonna have to change things a little so Greator doesn't break things on accident...do what you can to help, that's all i ask" she said. Ryuu shrugged as only cats can, and did what he could to help her as she moved things off the walls and into a corner. she winced a few times, knowing the room was furnished ahead of time meant that it was a sort of polite thing, but she also didn't want things to get ruined....getting to the picture, she stood there looking at it, just looking at it. there had been a few thumps and scrapes from them not expecting weight or lack thereof, and even the heavier stuff had been moved fairly easily on the part of Vera. they tried to stay quiet and did a fairly quick job, which was why Vera just stood there looking at the painting with the circles, her head to the side

Siren. Prince. Father.
Breathing a sigh of relief for the quiet Aurora left, he sat back comfortably on his bed, hands reaching one of the many pages of notes he'd taken over the week. His eyes scanned the page with an obvious amount of boredom but he held steadfast with the knowledge that studying could make or break his score on a test. Continuing the actions for the following several minutes, Seth was able to memorize a particular math equation that'd been giving him trouble.
At the sound of a door opening, his head raised momentarily in question before deciding it was simply Vera. Ignoring the following sounds, as his assumption was her and the animals getting settled, he continued studying, trying desperately to focus on the timeline of school history that rested on his lap. Soon, it was clear that all rustling and movement was either dispersed quietly, or no one was moving.
Moving the papers and notes into one pile, the siren stood. He'd decided that a snack would do him well, and perhaps a check-up on the now silent roommate. His door opened as Seth stepped out, and his gaze involunatrily swept across the open door of Vera's room. Surprised to see her still standing, he stepped across the hallway as he tapped the door, for decent politeness, before speaking curiously. "Everything alright?"

(which character had the debate about their hair color? and good thing the fighting event doesn't count towards the real story, or else Vera would have a LOT of scars.....XD and she doesn't want to try to live down her actions :Sweat: lmao i mean, look at her! she's going all gung-ho as if she was insane, had bloodlust and a deathwish XD she her mouth is in dire need of soap! lmao XD) Vera jumped, almost dropping the painting she had been holding. she managed to prevent it from hitting the floor, but at the cost of smashing her hand "jerahvth!" she exclaimed, apparently an explanation in dragon. carefully moving the painting to the side with her good hand, she shook on the one that got smashed and blew on it "im fine..." she said, blushing as she looked at Seth with a sheepish expression. then her stomach grumbled and she hung her head "unh...." still bright red, she went to the bed and sat on it demurely, looking around as if she had forgotten Seth, though she was trying to ignore her stomach's emptiness. then she just fell back onto the bed, as if asleep, and Ryuu joined her. though it made her feel too warm, she didn't complain since his body and fur muffled her stomach's complaints

Immediately feeling guilty for surprisingthe girl, Seth took a step forward in concer. He heard her words to reassure that she was fine, but ignored them with his own statement. "Are you sure?" Her stomach was the next thing he heard, and a faint smirk appeared as he questioned Vera, even as she sat and layed back. "Would you like something to eat?" He motioned to Ryuu, politely addressing the animal as well, "I'm sure we can find something for you as well."

Ryuu just raised an eyebrow, as sardonic as anything Seth could pull off, with an insulting smirk as only cats could do "Ryuu feels quite content where he's at, apparently....though why he like ME as a pillow when he has MUCH more padding and soft furriness, i have no idea..." she said, leaning up enough to show Seth her oh-so-serious face. she make a sheepish and embarrassed look "and only if it's not too much trouble..." she replied, hanging her head(EDITING TO ADD TO THIS STORY LINE THE EVENT) Vera heard noises outside, feet pounding on the floor as students ran through the dorms yelling about an attack "an attack? an attack!" Vera said, at first sounding confused, then a touch panicky "maybe i can help..." she muttered to herself with a worried look, hesitantly pushing past Seth to join the group collecting outside with Ryuu practically flying after her as Greator winged in and shot past Seth's head. not even seeming to notice the prince in his agitation and desire to be with Vera and help, his muzzle slightly bloody from his latest meal Greator didn't even remember to hiss at the siren prince as they left, Vera apologizing the whole way until she was gone about shoving past Seth(want to make sure he's got an impression about her timidness and subservience in his mind to contrast with the sisters' descriptions of her actions on the battlefield XD and Vera's all apologizing again and he would be just like "un hunh, yeah, suuuuuuuuure....whatever" until he might notice her broken bones or something, and then think maybe she got beat up....unless he saw and angry flash come from her eyes though the rest of her was fine. would be funny if that was a make-him-wonder kind of moment XD but i doubt he would *shrugs* ^^; just what would amuse me)

{Insert Fighting Event Here.} Struggling, though it was lessened by her sister's help, Dawn was able to make her way into the large dorm, Vera's body being carefully carried. The two sirens had spent the past several minutes humming and singing, desperately hoping that thier roommate would recover completely from the battle. Once they were safely in the room, she spun quickly, leaving her twin to hold up the half-elf, suddenly uncaring if she was still suffering from paralysis on half her body. Spinning to face Seth, she began speaking rapidly, trying to retell the events of the past few hours in as little time as possible. Her excitement was bubbling over as she jumped around the room, acting out her friend's wild and uncharacteristic actions. "OH MY GOD, SETH! Vera was crazy! She was running and fighting and cursing! She was like, on fire! Literally! And kept shouting *******!" And, and she wouldn't stop! Like, she got attacked and kept going! She kicked me and slapped Dawn! It was soooo cool! She was even knocked out twice~!" Her rants continued, as she retold preciously every thing that ran across her mind, ignoring the fact that her uncle was no longer listening.With his daughter resting against his chest, Seth was laying across the couch, his eyes closed with sleep. Once the door was opened with the return of his rommates, he sat up, groggily rubbing his eyes to wake up. Gently picking up the young child, he carried her to his room with a small smile, adoring the features she held while asleep. After a lingering moment to reassure himself that Yvette was fast asleep in the pink crib, he slowly backed out of the room, a sigh erupting as he heard Aurora's endless string of sentences. Once returned to the living room, his brow raised as he caught some of what his niece spoke of. Unable to imagine such, he glance to Dawn for comfirmation, and his expression became one of thought.{ooc: Hope you don't mind me bringing Vera in...wasn't sure if you were done back thar~
