It seems that my PC's system registry's a complete mess, so I'm having my hard drive rebuilt from the ground up. I'll probably be without home PC access for at least one more week.

I wondered where you'd been, Nuala. I've sent you an email, by the way. Anyway, I hope your rebuilt PC doesn't suffers as many problems as it used to... I don't think I could put up with such a glitchy machine myself. x.X

One month later, still no PC, and I move 100 miles across the country tomorrow, to take up a new job from Monday onwards (first professional position, and they make me a manager - eek!). Since I don't know how much 'net access I'll have from work itself, I may vanish for a large lump of the next week.
Just my luck that I have to get back to packing and be away for days, just when there's suddenly a glut of things to talk about. I'll have to see how many replies I can dash off before I go, but it almost defintely won't be all of the ones I want to. xp

I haven't had my staff 'net access privileges activated yet, so my entire usage is limited to one hour per day, until I can get a 'phone line installed in my apartment (which'll probably take about three weeks).
I'm going to be here when I can be (I'm still figuring out my timetable), but I might not get the chance to say much.
(I still want to get my teeth into that character-crossover thread! smile )

I've now got a PC and a 56k dial-up set up, but since I have a full-time job and have to fit my life around it, I might not be around much at times. Tanuki and CJ'll hopefully look after things then. smile
Now to find out whether or not my ISP's minimum contract is up, and I can upgrade to broadband...

I'll be carousing at a LRP event until next Monday, travelling to an airport on Tuesday and jetting off on holiday from next Wednesday until the 10th.
I might have limited 'net access from Wednesday until the 10th, but I'm my last guaranteed chance to get online will be next Tuesday.

Xagarath Ankor Are you going to The Gathering, perchance? I thought of heading there, but am tied up this weekend... Yes, that's where I'm heading. Strangely, though, I wouldn't recommend it. The system's awful - I'm mostly there for a change of scenery and to catch up with old friends.
