When it had rained Lily had spent some time writing letter and now she wanted to send them so she was going to take them to the mailbox, but first she wanted to read over the letters and make sure every thing was okay. No ridiculous spelling errors though she doubted she should find any. She sat on her bed envelopes and letter spread out around her a little green address book sitting neatly in her skirted lap. One letter was in her hand on green paper, with music notes, that sparkled slightly with white glitter small detailing.

Liliana
Dear Nate and Tony,

Guess what? My parents decided to ship me away to camp. I know it sounds terrible right, but I do not mind at all. I am a junior counselor and I get to help plan and run activities. At first I was not really having the best time, but that was because the younger kids think glue is a great accessory for my hair and on the first day a kid even stuck melted chocolate in my back pocket. (Stop laughing, its not funny Nate.)

But, I digress. A few of my friends from school are here, even a friend I met at a dance audition. We share a cabin together, its not the best but it quiet and I can get some much needed sleep and that is what counts right?

I am having a lot of fun and I even started a camp fire songs contest. I grabbed some gift cards as prizes for it when I left. I am excited practically bouncing up and down for the contest, but I do long song, dont I?

Tony, you definitely should have found a way to rope Nate into it. [Don't make that face Nate, its fun. Sam's here too.] Although currently it is raining cats and dogs so we are all stuck in our cabins resting up. I can say I definitely feel more rest, but I cannot wait for some sunshine tommorrow and a few roasted marshmallows. They are just so good.

I am rambling now aren't I? Well I should probably go now anyway. I have like three or four more letter to write. There is no internet or phone signals here, but I'm not complaining. I haven't written a letter in so long and I do so enjoy it. I'll stop by the library when I am back in town.

Miss you both,
Lily

P.S. --- Practice that new song Nate. And give Dogby a pat from me for me would you Tony?

The letter seemed to be just fine and she smiled as she folded it up and put it into a envelope addressing it to the library before moving on to the next letter.

The next letter was on the same paper of course as it was her favorite and really if one knew her well enough it was easily recognizable to Lily. She had always loved to write letter and her grandmother had so many letters, most on the green stationary, from Lily over the years.

Liliana

Dear Jaimie,

I did not get to tell you before I left with all the preparations and all, but I am at camp for two wholes weeks. I am so lucky, I think it might just be the break I needed like the first vacation of the summer. It is tiring which doesn't bother me in the least because we have lights out, which means no late night karaoke sessions or downtown joyrides. I am going to be so ready to party when I get back.

Lily paused for a second wondering if Jaimie would be able to read through the lines and sincerely hoping he would be. She was certain Jamie knew she was no partier, but one never knew. They were friends, but they had not been friends for that long. Sighing her eyes went back to her letter and she continued to read.

Liliana

It is a lot of fun here and although today is a rainy day and it has been spent inside, fiddling around with pictures and itunes (there is no internet or phone service here), even today has been great. There have been marshmellow roast and campfire songs, which you know I am excited to be apart of. I even have a few friends here, Chris and Paris who are both so much fun to hang out with. Chris plays the guitar and Paris and I both dance.

When I get back we will have to get together. I want to hear how progress is going on your apartment and roommate hunt. Obviously mine has come to a screeching halt, but that will not stop me. I am going work twice as fast to finalize and make sure everything is ready in time for university.

That reminds me. My friend Chris goes to Destiny City University, I will have to introduce you sometime. Anyway I am rambling and I have a few more letters to write, so I will say goodbye.

Oh just one more thing. I was thinking of asking my parents if myself and some friends could spend some time in our cabin this summer, like a week or two. I do not see them objecting. Would you be interested? I am thinking of inviting Aurora, Xavier and a few others as well.

Can't wait to hang out,
Lily

Other than wondering whether Jaimie would read between the lines at that one part, Lily thought it seemed okay, so she put in the envelope addressed it, hoping she got the address correct and sat it aside to move on to the next one.

The next one, well the next one made Lily a little bit nervous. Apparently she was turning into a glutton for awkwardness and awkwardness thy name is Xavier. Yes, she had decided to write a not to her cousin. They hadn't talked in such a long long time, but she knew it was unavoidable, she also knew her cousin ire with her might be great, but she did not want to wait any longer.

Liliana

Dear Xavier,

Hello cousin. I really hope that my letter find you well. Sorry for such a formality, but once again we haven't talked in such a long time. Lot of things have happened since we last talked and boy have I ever been a busy girl. I have been apartment hunting with the help of Jaimie. We are becoming good friends, or at least I hope, it seems so. Voice of reason, he is, and boy do I need it apparently. Anyway, I digress, AP exams, then graduation and little fun and my parents shipped me off to camp.

That is where I am now, a junior counselor at Camp Larkspar, sitting in my cabin on a rainy day writing letter after listen to iTunes and organizing pictures, while my roommate attempts sleep though I think I keep disturbing her. I randomly burst out into song a couple times. It sounds like I am complaining right, but I'm not. Annoying things happened like glue hair and chocolate pocket, but I am really having a good time. I get to hang out with Paris and Chris and Sam. I babysit Sam, ours families are friends. Their are lots of activites and fun things to do. I am so excited every night for campfire songs even though I am very tired by the time they come, but I love to sing so I cannot at all complain.

Next year, you should sign up you would have so much fun. It is all good times and lots of sleep. Sorry I am still recovering from senioritis, AP exams are killer. I cannot wait to start at DCU!

Anyway, just wanted to send you a letter and let you know some things. I have an idea for a fun vacation inspired by the camp. My parents have a cabin up in the is area somewhere or not, I'm usually asleep when he drive up. Getting off topic again. I was think of asking them if I can use it for a week during the summer, maybe two, with a bunch of friends. I'm going to invite Jaimie and possibly Aurora. I really want you to come too. When I come back from camp I want to talk to you. I will sit outside you apartment door all day and night if I have too, though I'd rather just go for a ride or something.

Your Cousin misses you,
Lily

Lily sighed folding the letter up putting it into an envelope and addressing it before adding it to the pile and moving on to read the letter she had written to her family.

It was later in the week and Lily felt the urge, after her first swim of the trip, to write another letter or two. She was so happy to have time to write letters, it had been a long long time since she had even been able to do so. She ran out to quickly shower and change before coming back in flopping down on her bed hair still dripping and pulling out her stationary and a pen.

Liliana

Dear Nate,

Hey, what are you up to? I have had just about the most exciting day ever. there was a huge water balloon fight today and I got completely soaked after being pelted repeatedly with water balloons. I even took one right to the head (No Nate that is not funny). Even better that all of that was the fact that of all the water balloons I threw, I only missed once. How that for aim (good right)? Sam participated as well and hit me really good with one of those balloon, but I got him back. It was really, just so much fun. You should really be here with us.

After, the water balloon fight I went swimming finally. I know I should have helped gather the campers and get them together, but I hadn't swam yet and I was soaked in a swim suit. The temptation was too much, not to mention, my friend Paris hadn't swam yet either. I dragged Paris with me, reluctant as she was, but I'm persuasive right? (Hint hint, the piano it calls to you)

I managed to print a couple of pictures out in the office at camp, bought my own photo paper, but I couldn't pack my printer. I think I have enough with my laptop, iPod, kindle and camera. I know its a lot, but I thought I might need it. It saved me from my boredom on the rainy day though.

I'm getting off topic again. It obviously by now, but I put two pictures in the letter, that probably fell out when you opened it (if you opened it and not Tony). Don't loose them.

See you soon,
Lily

Lily picked up the two pictures, one of her standing outside of her cabin just after the water balloon fight, still dripping wet making a peace sign at the camera. The second of her sitting by the fire singing a camp song with bright grin on her face. Yes, she was having such a good time.

Lying back on her bed she re-read the rambled letter as the sun drew its way out of her cabin leaving Lily to wonder if Paris and Chris were already heading toward the campfire to do some more singing. The contest had made for some really interesting songs which kept Lily laughing. Sitting up, she folded up the letter and put it in an envelope addressing it to the library and putting it on her bed. She would take it to the office first thing in the morning, but now, now it was time for setting up for campfire songs.

It was the last day of camp and Lily was writing again pulling out her favorite stationary and her trust pen. Today she was writing letters that did not need to be mailed but instead simply handed to the pair they were intended for. First she started with Paris, her roommate extraordinaire for a whole two weeks.

Lilianna

Dear Paris,

I would have to say, I certainly did not expect to know many people at camp and I never expected to see you outside of ballet audition, but I am very happy you were here. These past two weeks have been very interesting, right? Especially after the little lie we, well mostly I came up with to keep you out of the boys cabin. That would have been awkard.

Your really fun to hang out with and I really enjoyed talking to you these two weeks. Though you really freaked me out the night with the whole bug thing. I could have killed it with a tennis shoe. Otherwise, it has been fun, yes it has been fun.

Did you tell Chris yet? I really think you should. I think he will understand and if not I will knock some sense into him, but not literally. You know more figuratively speaking.

It the last day of camp and I really would like to see you after camp. No dissappearing. We're friends and we having shopping trips, spa days, movie night and sleepovers in our near future. (I am laughing now, as I read this. I am thinking over kill, but hey they are all really fun ideas right?) Maybe my sister will come along, she is an actress and is always shopping for new clothes and nagging me about going to parties. She says karaoke doesn't count. Maybe I can even drag my brother out of his room and we can all swim in the pool in the backyard. Alright now, next topic, before you keel over laughing from my rambles.

Anyway, I am rambling now, but before I end this letter. I was thinking of inviting a bunch of friends to my parents cabin in the near future, maybe early august, for about a week or two. I think it would be a lot of fun and I want you to know you are invited.

See you soon,
Lily

P.S. - My number is 555-552-5579.

Lily read over the letter once more and she couldn't help but to laugh and smile thinking over the week. She was happy Paris wasn't currently in the room because she bet he would be looking at her as though she lost her mind. It did look like she was laughing at a piece of paper and one she'd written on herself.

Shaking her head she folded the letter up and put in an envelope addressing it to Paris before placing it one her bed and grabbing up another piece of stationary for the last letter of her camp stay.

After she was finished with Paris' letter she moved on to write one for Chris. She sat for a moment not really sure what she should write. She was sort of running out of words at this point in time. She written her family and several friends, but she was determined. So she put her pen to the paper and wrote.

Liliana

Dear Chris,

Camp has been a lot of fun hasn't it and it seems where ever their was fun you were directing one kid or another. You really got into it didn't you. Your lucky, I had lots of craft time, which led to a lot of hair washes and clothes changes. I still had fun, there was so much to do. I was very surprised to see you missed the water balloon fight, you being a pitcher and all. It was so much fun and I guess I'm not so bad at sports as I though. (I only missed my target once.)

I would have to say it was my favorite part of camp. What was yours? No, you know what that wasn't my favorite part, no mine was hanging out and having so much fun with my friends, especially around the campfire.

Tommorrow it is back to looking for apartments and getting ready for college, though I can't say I am not excited, because I am. I cannot wait to move out of my parents house and feel so much more free and grown up. You will come to my house warming won't you? I bet. Bring Peter, he is adorable.

Oh maybe I will see you the weekend after camp. I will be headed up to the shelter to volunteer. I am determined so hopefully I will see you there, but you can call to make sure. You have my number, right?

If not, or if you lost it. My number is 555-553 5579. So easy right.

See you this weekend hopefully,
Lily

Lily looked over the letter, rereading it carefully for errors and how much sense it made. She really was going to make her way to the animal shelter, Chris had told her a shelter favorite and the longest staying resident had been adopted, so she wanted to go see who was still there and the new arrivals. Not to mention she also wanted to see if she could find a companion for Eamon.

Smiling she folded up the letter, placed it in an envelope and wrote Chris on the front. After which she grabbed Paris' letter as well and started to look for a place to stash the too until the following day. She did not want to pack them away least she forget to give them to her friends. She opted for the obvious doubting they would get lost and stuck them under her pillow. When she went to pack her pillow she would see them and scoop them up, not that she would actually forget them.
