[PRP] A New Home - Takuto & Mitsuki

Mitsuki had wandered away from home, which was a little unlike her, but even she had times when she just wanted to get away and be herself. Her family disapproved of her desire to sing and so it was forbidden, at home anyway. And so she had started wandering, not that she had wanted to run away, that had kind of been an accident, she had been walking, and found herself walking a little further every day. Finally she had found she liked being away so much more than being home, so she had left a message saying she was going to be fine, that she was full grown now and was going to find herself a new home.

This had proved a little more tricky than she had initially thought, but that wasn't going to stop her. And so she had found herself in this odd place, well it wasn't odd, just different from home, but she had decided she would stay here, mostly because she had herd singing not too long ago and any place where there was singing was good in her book. So now she would start looking for a place to live, though she supposed that she would have to find one with room for two as Takuto had been hot on her heels when she left. He had caught up to her a good while back and now was going to no doubt be sticking around to make sure she was safe. She wondered if Meroko would ever forgive her, after all the pink mare had been left back home as the messenger, and Mitsuki had no idea what had become of her.

Takuto was right behind Mitsuki, in fact he had left her home not even an hour behind her. Meroko was hopeless at keeping secrets and had told him everything as soon as she had seen him, then again she hadn't been told not to tell him, but he could guess that Mitsuki would have wanted more of a head start. Though he didn't know how far behind him Meroko was, he was sure she couldn't be far behind them, or at least she was somewhere following in their trail.

Stopping by lake with Mitsuki and looking round, there was a river leading off into some trees but other than that there was little that could tell them anything. "We should find shelter.." Which was easier said than done, there really was no telling where would be a good place to look for shelter, but the y would need to find something by night fall, if nothing else. He processed possible ideas about where and what would make good shelter. Fortunately it was summer so as long as the good weather held a couple of nights more out in the open would be no trouble.

Mitsuki nodded and looked at Takuto, looking back the path they had come, and while they had covered a fair distance she found herself expecting to find Meroko behind them, it was strange not having her around, it had been the 3 of them for so long, for as long as she could remember actually. But now Mero was not around and it was her fault. Sighing she wondered if she would see her friend again.

Looking back to Takuto she nodded again and summoned a smile for him. "Yes you are right, we should find food and shelter, maybe if we head a little further a place will become obvious." Looking around and picking a direction, partly because she could see the trees thinning that way, and that probably meant that the forest ended for some reason. "Lets try this way, its as good as any." Starting to walk in the direction she had indicated, it not taking long till she found a path to follow heading in the general direction she had been going. Her smile having faded a little, thinking about their missing companion, sighing softly wondering how annoyed Meroko was that Takuto was alone with another girl.

Takuto followed along behind Mitsuki, he didn't want to push, he could tell she was sad and worried, and he had known her long enough to know she was worrying over Meroko, though he had to admit he was enjoying the break from being fussed and fawned over. Either way he had no need to say this, Mitsuki had a soft heart and she cared about Meroko and nothing was going change that, he had no desire to.

Following along behind her, glad they had found a path, having seen the thinning of the trees when she had pointed out the direction. Smiling when they came upon a large lake with a river leading away from it not far away. "Well this is good, we can refresh ourselves here, wash, find some food and most likely shelter not to far away." Smiling at Mitsuki he gave her a soft nudge. "Go wash, refresh yourself, I'll go and find some food for us." Turning and heading int othe trees sure there was going to be some fruit that they could add to the bounty of grass and water.

Mitsuki watched as Takuto left and headed for the water, shedding her few items, leaving them on a convenient bush she waded into the water. It was lovely and cool, she would have to find some wash items, but for now she could just clean herself up as best as she could and be glad of that. She enjoyed the water, wading out some time later, moving away from her things a little to shake the worst of the water out of her fur, though she once again she missed Meroko. It had been Meroko that had always helped ring out her hair and tie it up. She would have to impose on Takuto this time.

She settled in the grass near the bus spreading her wings out letting the sun dry her creamy yellow fur and feathers, starting to nap slightly in the heat of the sun. Waking with a start when she hears her name called in a annoyed voice.

Takuto didn't look back, he knew she would go and wash, so he set about looking for anything edible. It didn't take long, once you actually paid attention there was plenty to eat here. It really didn't take long, but while he was gathering food he also wandered a little keeping an eye out for places that would make for somewhere to live. After all with food and water in good supply this would make for a good place to stay. Not wanting to wander too far he headed back with his pack full of apples and cherries and other fruit and treats he had found laying around. When he got back though he felt a flash of anger, though not for Mitsuki, more for her lack of concern for her own safety, she was sleeping alone in this place. Walking over his voice harsh from worry. "Mitsuki.. Mitsuki... Oy Mitsuki Wake up!" Frowning at her when she finally woke and opened her eyes, his voice still harsh with worry. "What were you thinking, you know better than to sleep in a strange place with no one there to watch out for you!" He didn't stay angry long, he never really got angry with her, but he didn't like it when she put herself in danger, not one little bit.
