Name Meaning: Named after Jackson Square, a park in New Orleans, where many artists, musicians and varied street performers such as jugglers and magicians gather.
Gender: Female

Personality: Mad. Well, apparently so. She's a fairly bright, optimistic, and cheerful-seeming pidge, especially around others. However, her tendency to cause small explosions and other ruckus in the roost has not endeared her to some. And then there's the fact that she seems to be hiding something...
Biography: Jackson Square was found by Happy Hour's flock as a fledgling in the aftermath of a terrible storm, all by herself. She doesn't talk about her family, but assumes the worst when it comes to their fate. She took to the role of inventor quite handily once she settled into the flock, though she does at times show shades of an Entertainer's spirit.

Name: Between The Lines
Name Meaning: A small bookstore. Also, to infer something (from something else); to try to understand what is meant by something that is not written explicitly or openly.
Gender: Female
Personality: No-nonsense. Has a dry sort of sense of humor, that most often rears its head as sarcasm. Can be a bit overly realistic at times, and has no idea how to take a compliment. Underneath the shell built up by her life on the lower side of the tracks, she's a genuinely caring and helpful pidge. Gainingthat help might take some doing if you're an upper-class, though. And despite that fact, she will not tolerate any pidge belittling her role in the flock, especially thieves, who she has had issues with in the past. She will work with them, if they're not working solely for their own benefit, but if they try to steal from her or her family, they'd best watch their back.
Biography: Between was born in Half Price's flock recently enough that she doesn't remember any better. She was born to a thief and a nanny, neither of whom are still alive, sadly. Life on the lower side of the tracks wasn't easy for anyone, but she made the best of it, choosing to become a scavenger when she found she had a knack for finding good spots that hadn't been picked over too badly.

Eventually, she met a Doctor from the Upper side of the tracks, who wanted to help the lower-class pidge of the flock. She was isntially suspicious, but agreed to help supply him with what he needed. Through various clandestine meetings, she grew to like, even love the purple-inked doctor. Even if she found him to be a tad bit silly at times. Eventually, they chose to become mates... And that's when things got a bit more interesting, considering their situation.

Marie Laveau's Tomb




Name: Marie Laveau's Tomb
Name Meaning: Named after the tomb of Voodo Queen Marie Laveau, taken from a tourist flyer.
Gender: Male

Personality: Seemingly aloof, he has a tendency to keep to himself more than he actually prefers. Has been mostly alone for some time, so has a bit of trouble dealing with other pidge on a normal level at times, outside of his witching. Has a tendency to keep secrets.
Biography: Seperated from his family as a fledgling, Marie found himself in the shadows of a small bridge in the park. Even then, he felt that something was guiding him.

As some time passed, he found himself leaning toward a role that most chattering birds would look askance at a male pursuing, that of a witch, connected with the spirits... Not that it mattered, after all, he was by himself, and it was a set of skills that he could trade on if needed.

So that it would raise less questions, he cultivated an aloof attitude and a rather more... feminine appearance rather than anything else. It caused less problems most of the time, though there had been a few incidents. As it was, he rather liked his appearance, even though it confused most. After all, that was its desired effect.
