He wasn't lost.
No way.
Jude was not going to admit to ever being lost not to anyone. Admitting that he'd gotten lost meant that he'd taken the wrong way toward the dorms where he was trying to get to. All he wanted was to get into his room and continue arranging it to his likings.
So no. He wasn't lost. He was temporarily turned around.
It almost felt embarrassing being lost in this new place now that he was here! Back home he had an awesome sense of direction and could find his way to anywhere he needed to go, but now was time to accept that this wasn't home. This adventure in getting lost was quickly setting the reality for him as much as he tried to deny it.
He paused near a doorway and stared around, where was he anyways? Ugh everything looked the same to him so far. Jude started to despair and wish he had looked for landmarks on the way...

The uniforms they were given were simply kick a**. Back home, uniforms were stuffy and stupid and made her feel like the school was trying to... Well, make everyone 'uniform'. Creativity? Out of the question. Individuality? Nah, it'll only interfere with your studies. Maybe that's why she dyed her hair such odd colors after running away from home; it felt good to not be constantly monitored for 'good behavior'.
... Okay, so being stuck on this island with rather sadistic, trolling superiors gave her the feeling that 'big brother is watching you' almost constantly, but it's an adventure at least! Far from the mundane life she had been forced to lead.
Besides, these uniforms? Kick. a**. Yes, she had to say that again... And you don't even have to wear them the same as everyone else! Just simply kick a**.
Walking down the corridor, she grinned at the way her scarf was sort of floating behind her; it felt rather nice... Cool, even. If only Dean was around to see- Her thoughts were interrupted, however, at the sight of a familiar face lurking around the same corridor. While it took a while for her to process who it was, she eventually grinned, walking up to her fellow Death hunter, putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey Judy~ What're you doing? Thinking of swooping on someone? Swooping is bad~"

Jude was indifferent to everything thus far, his uniform included. It was clothing. Clothing to wear. It went on your back. It kept you warm in important parts and that was all he needed. He also wasn't all that concerned about that as much as he was about just where he was.
Contact of a hand on his shoulder made him freeze and startle a bit. Slightly wild eyed he turned his gaze to stare at the perpetrator and he quietly started to shift away to where she would stop touching him. Nothing against her but he wasn't a touchy feely sort of guy. He puts up with it if he has to but there was a nice big hallway for them to stand around in and not touch each other.
The young man wasn't sure about this obsession of touching that some of the other Hunters seemed to have. "I am not 'swooping' or whatever," he murmured in a defensive tone, "I am ...on my way to my dorm."

"Not swooping? You sure? You were reeeeaaaalllly jumpy~" She raised an eyebrow at the way he inched away from her; it was rather cute the way he did that... She could almost hear him going 'STOP TOUCHING ME', and the thought only made her grin grow... She might have found herself something fun today~ In the form of a guy named Jude Judy.
"Well, I was on my way to my room as well," She replied, chuckling lightly before pointing up, seemingly at the ceiling, "A floor above this one, actually... Although I think a lot of us took the rooms on the same floor~ Did you too, hm?"

"I am sure," he informed her quite firmly as he kept his distance eyeing her a bit as if to make sure she wouldn't close the gap on him quite suddenly. He just felt so weird when other people touched him and not in a good way. Only one person was allowed physical contact with him at any point was...not here.
He ignored the sudden pang in his chest the thought brought and kept his face as unreadable as possible he arched an eyebrow and pointed his gaze up to where she indicated. Unless she was really goofed up in the head she obviously meant the other floor, "...Maybe. Maybe not," he replied evasively.
There seemed a bad idea in telling Miss TouchyBerry in where his room was. It'd give her a way to pester him endlessly. Then again she'd find out eventually but the longer he pushed the discovery away the better.

"Oh, is Judy upset?" She laughed, waving a hand in the air, "Fine, fine, you know that swooping is bad. You weren't swooping." She continued to grin, tugging absentmindedly on the edge of her scarf before eyeing the male who... Was standing quite a distance away. Maybe he was scared of girl cooties.
That made her chuckle.
"Well then, shall we make our way up together? Or are you planning to linger around here?" She looked around, and through the doorway he was lingering around just now, as if expecting to see someone else around. Taking out the phone they had been given after they officially became 'hunters', she checked it for any messages before looking up, sliding the phone back into her jacket, "Assuming that your room is on the same floor as mine anyway..."

"I am not upset," he replied simply crossing his arms over his chest. Why would he be upset? Well other than the fact that she kept calling him Judy and was accusing him of things. Also she had touched him which was probably her biggest crime at the moment.
The blonde youth listened to her as she spoke again. Lingering and then trailing after her seemed more appealing but chances were she'd find him following and probably make some sort of huge deal about it. He'd just wait until she got into her room before going into his further down the hall - that is if his room was on that floor.
Wait, he was in the building with the dorm rooms?
....He fought down a blush but there was still a light dust of pink across his cheeks.
"...I guess I can go with you," he murmured as he drifted to move after her.

"Oh, of course you're not," She grinned before turning and walking down the way she was heading before she ran into him. She kept silent for a moment, but soon turned to face him, her lips set in a grim line, eyes narrowed, "This is just your happy face." She managed to say in a deadpan voice while maintaining that expression.
That didn't last long, however, as she burst out laughing, throwing her arms into the air as she walked, "Hahahaha, you're fantastic. Absolutely fantastic! And you're blushing~ Ohhh, not used to being in the company of a pretty lady?" She said in a teasing voice, wriggling her eye brows before laughing and turning to face the front again.

He was unimpressed by her mocking of his expression. Very much unimpressed. He just let the subject drop before he said something that would either cause a fight or just in general make her tease him more or something. Ariane was an unknown to him and so he couldn't rightly say how she would react if he insulted her somehow.
Jude's face became a bit redder when she laughed him and his lips quirked into a deeper frown as he directed his gaze away from her. She was pretty enough sure so what did she want him to say? Ugh.
He kept walking with her trying to change the subject entirely. Something away from him and also that went away from the subject of dorm rooms before he ratted himself out.
"...Do you always tease people?" He asked quietly.

She slowed down enough to walk beside him instead of in front of him, a grin on her lips as she studied his face; ohhh, it had become redder!
"Oh my, didn't know you're not used to being around pretty ladies~ There are a lot on this island though. Make sure you don't turn into a beetroot during the next meeting," She raised an eyebrow, her grin widening a little as she chuckled softly. Her chuckled faded soon enough, and it was obvious that she had heard his question. She just chose not to answer immediately. Instead, she kept silent as they walked down the corridor, taking a sudden turn into a doorway.
"Hm, do I?" She mused out loud, stroking her chin, "I wonder~ Am I a tease, Judy?"

Insufferable.
That is what she was. Yet he couldn't really bring himself to be short or cruel to her at least not for long. Maybe it was because she seemed genuinely friendly enough or she never tried to directly hurt him. He supposed that's why he let her get away with calling him Judy.
She didn't make him want to smile but she didn't make him want to weep and curl up into a fetal position...yet.
"I wont." Jude stated bluntly. Mostly because the ladies probably weren't so...so...playful as Ariane was.
Jude sighed softly at her phrasing, "For all I know, yes you are Ari-berry. You keep making fun of me."

"Good, I'm sure they'll be pleased to know that," She couldn't resist laughing; it was like being pretty was part of the requirement of being a female hunter... Seriously, what's up with that anyway? Maybe apart from being sadistic and trolls, the superiors like their girls young and pretty. The boys she had seen - Jude included - were good looking as well.
Those *****>, return of Ari-berry?" She smiled, sweeping her bangs aside as she canted her head a little to the side to glance at Jude, an eyebrow raised. Her smile soon widened to a grin, "Kept making fun of you? Only because you're so darn adorable~ With your constant-" She raised her hands, making invisible quote marks with her fingers, "Happy face... Why? Did Judy forget how to smile?"

"They should be," he responded. Due to his usual expression it was hard to tell if he was playing along or being completely serious about what he had just said. He just continued to follow Ariane trusting her not to get him anymore lost than he already currently was. As long as she believed the blushing was about the idea of 'pretty girls' then he was pretty content and had successfully tricked her.
There was a small smirk, just a small one, it was a brief upward tilting of a corner of his lips, "Well, yes, did you think I'd just abandon it? You keep calling me Judy."
Jude blushed again when she called him adorable, "Am not," he retorted in protest. The young man shifted his shoulders at his questions, "No...I have my reasons for it. Reasons better left alone." He didn't like to admit to his particular little quirk.

"I actually like that nickname... I'm assuming you like being called Judy in return? If so, you have yourself a deal," She stopped suddenly, and then walked back the way they came, back to the sudden turn she had taken into a doorway along the corridor a while ago. When they were back in the main corridor, she turned her head to look at him.
"You're so adorable," She simply repeated with a grin, "You didn't notice I was walking the wrong way~" On purpose. Ah, so he really wasn't swooping just now.
Hehe.
"Reasons? Oh how mysterious," She chuckled, "I still say you had forgotten how to smile. Thus, I shall now begin operation: Teach Judy to smile again. It shall be a year long project involving me teasing you. You are most welcome!"

He blinked a bit as she said she actually liked the nickname though it wasn't really surprising for him. It was just one of those things that seemed like she would like not that it was a bad thing. Jude was actually a little glad she liked it, "It...isn't the worst thing I've been called," he replied with a small shrug, "I'd prefer it if only you called me Judy, to be honest. I think I'd probably punch anyone else..."
Maybe not punch but he'd certainly try to ignore them.
The young man blushed more and averted his gaze though he did stop a bit short when she informed him that they were walking the wrong way the whole time he resumed his steps shortly after so as not to get left behind, "I wasn't paying attention. I was talking to you, you're very distracting."
All her fault. Yep.
"Whatever makes you happy, Arri-berry," he replied simply at her sudden 'mission' when it concerned him. Jude wasn't certain what the big deal was when it concerned whether or not he smiled, laughed, or even felt happiness. He was fine, content. A little sad but content, at least he had no plans on slitting his wrists.
