He was going stirr crazy. That had to be it. Staring at the blue prints, the Igor was starting to go cross eyed. The thing was... NEARLY complete, although it still had a habit of belching black smoke and making small explosions whenever he tried to start it up, which ultimately was leaving Barth's dorm with considerable new arrays of stink and stains.
He didn't even want to consider how much cleaning he'd have to do before the Sloth came back. It wasn't like Barth would be UPSET about the place being in disarray but... well, it was the principal of the matter.
Christof was glad for the lab coat, though. It proved a lot more resilient than his usual clothes, which was good because he really didn't own that many. But despite his work, he needed to get out. He needed fresh atmosphere.
He remembered the open invitation a long time ago... maybe... maybe a new friend was in order? Someone he could just sit and say nothing to and just feel awkward in a normal, sort of quiet way. And besides, it was interesting that she was from near where he was from and... well, maybe they could share some cultural experience and understanding too?
And besides, Prom was approaching.
It wasn't a break, it was reconnaissance. Gaining valuable knowledge about the opposite sex with a completely safe and friendly person of the female persuasion.
And besides, she had a boilfriend.
Mind made up, he picked up his eye-phone, sending a quick message:
Doriţi să vizionaţi filmul? (:
and hit send.

Shehk had been purposely making a mess of her room. She'd thrown the one thing on that accursed bed of hers into the closet without a moment of thought (She'd liked curling up in that pelt too...). Actually, the moment of thought had actually been 'should I destroy this s**t'. She hadn't had the heart to do that though. Part of her was still hopeful.
Hopeful that he'd come to his senses and change his mind about breaking up with her. He had to change his mind, right? RIGHT?? Ohhhhhhh!! She stomped her feet a couple of times. The menagerie of animals sitting on her bed watched her with a curious stare, heads following her movement.
She was angry.
She was angry.
She was annggry-
Aroo?
Her phone had vibrated over on her desk and a great welling of hope bubbled up inside of her. It was Nukpana changing his mind, right? He was going to apologize for upsetting her and everything would be all better and ..and!
... .... And that was a text and not from Nukpana.
Shehk slumped in the seat of her desk, looking at the message on her phone with a rather upset frown on her face, chin propped in her hand as she stared, for several minutes, at the Romanian she was greeted with.
She knew who it was. For a moment, Shehk considered not replying and continuing in her sulking. In fact, she'd abandoned the phone quite completely for another five minutes before she'd ultimately sighed and gone back to it.
Misery loved company, right?
Shehk typed out a reply carefully. She had to be extra careful less she laden the thing with horrendous typos and turn cute into horrifying and all sorts of other strange mesh-ups of inappropriate language.
D'oh!
Asta este bine. Eu nu fac nimic în acest moment.
She hit send, put the phone back on her desk, then walked over to throw herself back on her bed to get in some final moping before company came over.

It didn't take very long to slip out of the demon dorms quietly via window and hobble-trot across campus to the Undead dorms. He wondered if she would be curious why it took him so long to get there, when technically he was supposed to be in the same building, but hopefully it wouldn't come to that. Explanations were a tedium for the mute hunchback.
He shifted, brushing some soot off of his vest, making sure he was tidy before timidly knocking at the door.

BARK!
BARK BARK BARK!!! OH GOD, BARK!!! There was suddenly the sound of shuffling as Hati and Skoll jumped off of Shehk's bed and practically flung themselves at her door, scratching, barking, and generally being excited. Shehk nearly jumped off her bed and out the window when the barking had started, tail puffed up.
Instead came a sharp barking of demands for them to both stop barking.
"SKOLL. HATI. SILENCE. NOW."
It didn't silence either of them, just just camped at the door to see who was on the other side.
Who is it, who is it, who is it??
The pricolici pulled herself off of her bed to walk over to the door, dragging her feet a bit before she opened the door, just for the pair of celestial wolves, who happened to parent one in the possession of Riley, to go running out and practically dance in a circle around Christof, tails wagging.
"Ei nu musca." she said with a light sigh, though she did look back to her bed where Nuk Jr (she regretted naming him that) sat, his eyes transfixed on the igor. "Acela, cu toate acestea, se poate. Nu atingeţi patul meu, doar în cazul în.
"Te rog iartă-mi mizerie. Organizaţia nu este costumul meu forte."
It probably wasn't anywhere close to Barth's mess at all. It was just laundry that she hadn't done, for the most part shoved into a corner, and her desk had a series of letters that were opened and spread around all over it. Not bad.
But her room had a certain coldness to it; it as impersonal, no posters, no pictures, nothing. Shehk had not 'bonded' to the four walls she slept between.
However, Shehk did make a point to walk over to her closet and start pulling out a series of pillows and the like, throwing them over her shoulder to the igor.
"Eu nu ţine scaune, asa ca foloseste cele pentru a face-te comod, vă rog."
With that set up, she dragged over the small wheeled 'scooter' of sorts she'd set her TV on. It moved all over the place, that TV. She'd gotten to the point where it was necessary to simply set it up that way for company. It was her 'with other people' activity, more or less. Her 'by herself' activity was sulking, pouting, being unhappy, and being a canine as of late.
She hadn't even noticed it had taken Christof a spell of time to actually come over. She just had assumed he didn't want to seem...overly zealous.

The hunchback fidgeted this way and that, dancing around the snarling beasts that greeted him, and had to concentrate to understand her Romanian... she really did have a horrendous accent. Dr. Fell would have scolded her.
They don't bite, she had assured him... well... good. He had enough of that while attempting to train his Lepus and when Scruff was feeling particularly ignored.
The lack of chairs surprised him, but the quick toss of pillows and that at least was answered. So.... this... is what you did when alone with a strange new ghoul? Sit in the dark on pillows and not speak? It sounded okay, really.
Juggling the pillows before setting them down neatly in front of the television, he pulled his chalk board out of his satchel, scribbling quickly before holding it up for her:
English is fine. Hope you have been well?

Shehk sighed a bit as she popped in a tape that looked very old..and very bootlegged into the VCR. The bonus was with a horrible human-world bootleg? None of those silly adverts. There were, however, several seconds of noise starting off the tape before she crawled over to camp out next to Christof, leaning back against her bed and sighing.
Skoll and Hati bounded over to sit with the pair. Hati gave Christof an adoring look, as though hopeful for some sort of petting. Pet me, pet me, pet me?
"Oh thank jack." She seemed to sigh, reading the chalk board with some relief. "I'm way out of practice in my Romanian. I need to brush up on it before I use it too much." She laughed, though it was a dry one, crossing one leg over the other. Shehk looked away from the TV as the opening sequence of the movie began to play with it's delightful little prologue.
Well.. delightful in the most sadistic sense.
"I...have been much better, actually. I'm not going to lie. I haven't really been.." she crinkled her nose. "all that great at all." She sighed, it was much shakier than her earlier sigh, as though she wanted to actually cry instead of pretend that whatever problem she had was... 'not great'.

The hunchback rubbed away the words on the chalkboard before quickly scribbling out:
Oh?
The movie held little interest to him so far. It appeared to be a moving painting... he had never seen a cartoon before, nor did he really understand how one went about it, and so aesthetically, it was pretty okay.
It wasn't until some woman had her head smashed in on the steps of an interesting looking building as a dark cloaked man on a horse glowered down at her did he really start watching.

Shehk's lips tightened when the rather bothered man on the television uttered something about the human child he was holding being 'a monster'. Now that was just offensive! Monsters were perfectly presentable creatures! Well, sometimes. Unless she wanted to punch them in the face.
Her nose crinkled a bit, before she looked to the chalkboard again. She looked at it, looked at Christof, then slumped a bit. Hati keened, laying her head on the hunchback's knee, still hoping that maybe she would get a pet or two from the visitor.
"I'm going home soon. I'm trying to decide if it is worth sitting through Prom, or if I should just go now. Well Not right now..but.." she grumbled something that sounded like 'that ******** b*****d' under her breath, before she pipped up with a more clarified explanation; "I'm pretty much not going to Prom like I was thinking I would be, because that a*****e...." she trailed off a bit, bit her lip, then went quiet.
She couldn't say it out loud.
Admitting it made it real. She just sniffled instead.

Gingerly, Christof reached to pat the creature situating at his lap, shifting uncomfortably and wary to lean too far back, lest he touch the bed. The warning might have been poorly announced, but he heeded it all the same.
He glanced away from the movie as she spoke, brows furrowing before scribbling out an answer:
Has Mr. Nuk Not asked you yet? Customary for boil to take ghoul to dance

Nuk Jr. growled, just to reinforce the poorly pronounce warning. Hati, on the other hand, wagged her tail, seeming completely overjoyed. She nearly threw herself up onto Christof, but Shehk gave the dark celestial wolf a sharp look.
"Hati. OFF." she said, and Hati reneged, crawling underneath the bed to keen in the strange doggy bed that was hidden underneath it. Shehk was jealous that the other canid could sleep in it without a problem of judgement.
Hnngh.
However, the face she made at the new question from Christof earned a darker look than Hati had gotten when she'd been told to stay 'off' of the other undead student. Her eyes narrowed, her nose crinkled up and she frowned, slumping further and crossing her arms. She leered at the TV with a look on her face that could have started a fire.
Her tail twitched in an irritated manner against the floor behind her and her ears flattened back.
She'd made quite the point to not answer that question.

The hunchback flinched when the dog was chastised, his face going red as he slowly lowered his chalkboard. It seemed to be a touchy subject, although he couldn't fathom why. They were a Couple her and the Skin Walker, that had been made clear to him. He picked at his stitches, attempting to concentrate on the movie, but that didn't help either. The skinny man in the film reminded him far too much of his Master back home, and it did little more than depress him.

She hadn't meant to put Christof into an awkward position with her snappy anger, but the question was a very ..sensitive one, and Shehk hadn't really wanted to answer it. She tapped her fingers against her elbow a couple of times, a frown on her face, before she sighed. A long sigh.
Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggggggggggh
She was doing it a lot that day. Though her face scrinched up a bit when the movie started up with singing. The voice itself wasn't bad, but the lyrics seemed to get her a bit. It sounded...well, the movie sort of made her feel a bit trapped sometimes. She felt emotionally trapped then, even. The pricolici shivered once, before she scooted closer to the hunchback, before hugging her knees up to her chest and with a sigh leaning her head against his shoulder.
Not a single word of explanation was said.
She just sighed...sniffled...then began to bawl.

At the sudden feeling of a body slumping against him, Christof froze, eyes locked on the colorful imagery on the television screen, his heart racing.
And then she started to sob.
Ohhellsbellsohhellsbells- Sobbing Calder was one thing, you just hit him until he stopped, but a sobbing ghoul?
You aren't supposed to hit ghouls, and somehow he didn't think that would make matters better.
Instead, he made a startled whine, flailing about a moment before nervously patting her shoulder.
Maybe she just needed to leak it out and then she'd be okay?

If he'd hit Shehk, she might have mauled him.
Or rather, the skinwalker minipet on her bed would have flown off of said bed and latched to the hunchback's face and started gnawing madly. It may have been entertaining from an outsider's perspective, however. Shehk may have helped Nuk Jr, however.
However, it seemed the random emotional wave of tears stopped after a few minutes, Shehk sniffling lamely, before grabbing the collar of her shirt and wiping her slightly runny nose on it; how ladylike! Shehk was definitely not the proper specimen of a woman in terms of how they would have liked to have been viewed by the opposite sex.
She was pathetic, sobby, emotionally mood-swing-y, and ...oddly apathetic when she was trying to snub her tears..which didn't last long. Oh. And creepily snuggle-y. Even after she'd stopped crying, she didn't move from the post she had taken up.
Looked like he was stuck with her there.

"Hnnn.... Hrrnnnnnggg?" Christof finally managed to squeak when her sobs turned into quiet nuzzling. What... what... what was he supposed to do?? Was Nuk going to burst in and rip him to parts?
