Nigel: *nods* And the problem is, those might be popular rooms to stay. If we found a vacant one, we'd probably need to find a good lock, and it might be a fixer-upper. *glances back at her* Sounds fun.

I don't know if he'd be good at carpentry though. xD

Nigel grinned broadly and bowed, offering his hand palm-up to the lovely flareon lady. "Well then, my dear, let us be off. The courtyard is just down this hallway. The real estate along the way, while exclusive, may be inclusive today just for you," he chuckled.

Vanhi couldn't help but laugh at Nigel's play of courtly manners. "You're so silly. But I'm so glad to have your help." She couldn't resist batting her eyelashes at Nigel just a bit. "And what sort of payment am I expected to make for such prime real estate?" ~.^

"I'm having a good time, I can't help it. And really, I can never say no to a lovely lady, it goes against my nature." All of this banter was a refreshing change to the stuffy and often scary atmosphere around the asylum. Batted eyelashes earned a broad grin from the umbreon gijinka. "Oh--payment," he scoffed. "Well... maybe sometimes you might let me in to see the view?" There was never going to be a condition. Helping people out gave him something to do, something (or nothing!) to think about in the spaces between conversations. Less time to worry, less time to be alone.

They approached the courtyard; hopefully there would be just the place. His tail waved back and forth lazily; he was excited to start poking at all the doors. Even a fixer-upper would be fine. We'll make it work.

Vanhi was having fun too, It felt nice having someone close by whom she was sure wouldn't attack her or even have any mischievous thoughts towards her. it made her forget that she was stuck in this place, full of monsters and frightful noises and strange, shadowy figures that watched everyone from the shadows and made note of their every move.

She smiled wider as they entered the courtyard. She loved the small space that gave them a break from the building's cold, stale air, and reminded them that there was still a world outside of the asylum, waiting for them to get out and reenter it once they could find a way to. "I would love to have a window for the nice, clean air to get in." She also added silently that a window would be good for letting things like her smoke out, away from suspicious eyes and noses.
