WELL THAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS FREAKING SUNBURN!!!!

Okay, so I went to Elitches yesterday, and I, ahem, declined the use of sunblock. Now I have terrible pain on my shoulders and the back of my neck. I've already taken a really hot shower, it helped for a while, but not long.

CAN YOU HELP ME???????????

As made obvious by my signature, I am BURN's resident Combat medic. Sooo...

Aloe Vera helps immensely. So does staying out of the sun. All you can really do is treat the pain. Aloe, shade, and if you start feeling sick, take 500mg of Tylenol. Either two normal strength, or one Extra Strength.

But the number ONE treatment, and this is importnant...HYDRATE! And not soda or juice or sports drinks. Water. H20. Aqua. Agua. The clear (hopefully) stuff that comes out of faucets. The PROPER hydration level is one quart an hour, not to exceed ten in a day. But since you're not military, then stick to a bottle every hours. Or a tall glass every 30 minutes. You'll have to pee a lot, but it will help. If your urine is clear, you're perfect.

Yes yes?

nothing left for me to say, except that when ya start to peel, have fun with it. ignore the stinging, and entertain yourself in whatever way works. I like seeing how big a piece I can tear off whole. =w=

Yeah, well… if it’s a bad one, I usually stick an ol’ ice cube on it until it melts then grab another one… and keep doing such until it is all better… that’s how I treated my worst sun burn ever.

Worst. Idea. EVER! That is the number one cause for infection. Let it fall off on it's on, no matter how hard it iches. It also allows the new skin to form quicker. Same with blisters. NEVER pop them on your own, and if they DO pop, LEAVE THE SKIN ON!

Feels better, but is actually kind of bad for your skin. Don't do it.

I can't really help you, but I can give you my sympathy's. I've had that happen to me before. Went down to South Carolina to visit family, went to the beach one day, and when we got home, my entire body was tomato red. With really bad tan lines >.< Everyone laughed at me because I was the only one in the family like that xD Such a nice group of people... Anyways. I took a few cold showers and slept under a fan on my stomach because my back got the worst of it. It still hurt a lot, but it was a little more comfortable that way. Haha. End of story time~

Not like that really helped, but oh well...
