Tick, tock, tick, tock....tick, tick, tick...
"UWAAAAAHHHH" At first it seemed like the pile of pillows on the witchlings floor had made that noise, a moment later two arms stretched out between them and then a head rose a pillow balanced on top of it. It fell off as the girl sleepily turned her head to the side, one eye open spying the clock, the other closed, watering in it's still asleep state. She tried to work out the time in her blurry vision; it was useless. So, instead she got to her feet, her nighty slinking around her frame as she moved over to the kettle in the corner and clicked it on. Standing there, aimlessly watching it whilst reality slowly started to form once more. even when the button clicked to show it was done, Liza kept staring at it, then her eyes slowly widened, bit by bit, her head spun to the side, her body following it as well as her night clothes until her sight landed on the clock. It screamed LATE LATE LATE and she shrieked!
"NOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT AGAIN. YOU DAMN, PIECE OF - AHHHHHHHH!" She threw her hands to her hair, ruffling the blonde bush before running to her wardrobe, the stray kittens fleeing for what was good for them, diving under the bed and the untidy pillow pile, as she grabbed the wardrobe doors, threw it open and collected her uniform. After dressing she went and poured her coffee, downed it. Pulled a face at the scolding liquid as she coffed and held her throat, gulped and then darted for the door.
"What is wrong with that clock!" She whined, legs carrying her as fast as they could. "Why! Is it too much to ask for, for it to work for a change! DAMN YOU CLOCK." She shouted to nobody but herself, earning wierd stares from other witchlings down the corridor that were heading to a class. She wasn't even sure how late she was since the ticker had jammed once again.
She stopped for a moment to catch her breath, putting her hand on the corner of a wall as she leaned over, panting hard. Her eyes scanned for her classroom and she made her way slowly to it, holding her stomach. She felt so out of shape. 'This is why you should have taken up track, Liza.' She frowned at her thoughts, hoping in the midst of all this she wasn't the only one having a bad start to the day.

Another day, another story.
At least that was what Zedena thought as she stepped into the hallway. Once again several of the other students had taken it upon themselves to play games through the grounds looking for some of the so called hidden paths. It was always the same group and they always thought the locked closet at the end of her hall was a key element. ”Just once I would love to wake up peacefully.”Zedena gave a regretful sigh as she turned the corner.
Thank the heavens for quick reflexes otherwise she might have been on the floor that moment credit to a running pink and yellow blob. Blinking quickly, Zedena poked her head around the corner and saw that the running form had stopped. Low and behold it wasn’t a spell gone wrong but another student. Rolling her eyes, Zedena walked forward. “If you are going to run a marathon, why not wait until the 5k later in the year?” She called out as she started to walk past. It was then that she looked over and took the blonde in. Pink and purple with a hint of this bright blue that could have caught anyone’s attention. This girl sure had a way of standing out with her style. It was one of the things the green haired witchling wasn’t sure she cared for when it came to the academy. Why require a uniform when you could destroy it so easily?
Then she glanced at the girl’s face. It dawned on Zedena why she had been running. “Take a deep breath. You have a good five minutes before classes start anyway. Don’t kill yourself please. The nurse is already having enough to deal with in failed potions.”

Liza hadn't caught the first retort to her escapade because she was too busy still catching her breath and she hadn't realized it was meant for her, until another student made her way barely past her. The light haired witchling lifted her head, standing straighter to eye the girl, lifting one brow to question her rather questionable remarks. She hadn't done anything wrong, other than trying to make her way to class had she?
Either way, she had never seen the girl before or maybe she had and just had a hard time putting a name to her face. "My ticker jammed..." She mumbled, trying not to get worked up at the clock once more, she put that to one side of her mind and then focused on answering the girl. "Five minutes? Awhh that means it stopped at nine last night!" It was useless. She was too mad at the contraption to simply forget about it. She wished there was a spell to fix clocks she could use, or a magical growth potion.
"Okay, well.. That makes me ok and on time for once." She shook her head, coming to some form of agreement with her impending rage and tried to lift her mood by taking in the pretty witchling and conversing like a normal human being. She took her hands in hers and offered the girl a wide smile. "Anyway, I'm Liza, it's nice to meet you... um..?"
She wondered if they had time to get something to drink, she could have used something to wash down the dry taste, loss of breath had caused. Or if the new aquaintence was planning to stand around for the next five minutes. Her gaze slid to the corridor which winded down towards the cafeteria curiously as she waited for a reply. Maybe they could just- It wouldn't take long...

Her ticker? Zedena had to lift an eyebrow at the reason for her strange behavior this early in the morning. What in the world did a ticker have anything to do with running down the halls in such a panic as to not notice any other living, or non-living creature. Then it dawned on the green haired witchling and she had to smile softly. Of course the ticker was the seconds hand on this girl’s clock. Though the way she was acting, this was a regular occurrence.
Zedena was about to respond with the possibility of buying a new clock down in town when she felt her hand being pulled away from her body. Glancing down in shock, Zedena’s first reaction was to pull back but a second thought kept her from moving. Instead she looked back up into the blue eyes of the girl. They were warm, friendly almost if not a little tired. Nothing appeared to be threating behind them so Zedena felt herself give in though with a hit of hesitation. “Zedena. Nice to meet you as well Liza.”
Slowly she followed Liza’s gaze down the hall. It need not be spoken what the girl was after. Five minutes was more than enough time. ”If you don’t mind walking, I think the cafeteria is still open for breakfast. I know I haven’t had anything this morning and I’m not one for going to class hungry.” A sigh allowed her shoulders to drop back into a more relaxed pose. She had going stiff with the contact but until now, Zedena had not tried to pull away. Where was the harm in getting something before class? Not like Liza had enough energy to do harm her after that run anyway. So Zedena decided to take a chance and with a smile, started to walk down the hall again.

It was surprising really, not a lot of people were comfotable with being handled so freely by others but Zedena had made the most of the situation and had even smiled at Liza, which was a relief. She was glad that she was nice enough to deal with her this morning. "Zedena~ That is such a pretty name." The bright haired witchling chuckled, looking back up to the earthly toned eyes of the other.
At the mention of the cafeteria, even more at the thought of breakfast, her eyes lit up with glee, washing away most of the sleepy gaze for an instant as she followed the girl down the hall towards the eating area. She liked how this girl thought! "Thank you, you must have read my mind." She smiled softly, as their steps neared the cafeteria. Noises of other chatting students and running footsteps could be heard, making Liza wonder how they all had so much energy to waste in the morning.
If they were going to be spending the day together, plus this girl must have been in the same class, they might as well get to know each other better, so she decided to fill the silence with curiosity. "Are you staying in the dorms here too?" She smiled, hoping that she was as she turned her head to put her attention on Zedena. You could never have enough neighbours, it meant that there would be more fun to have.
With a short lived yawn, Liza brought one of her hands to her mouth, then used her other arm to hoop comfortably through Zedena's, mumbling. "I hope there is coffee to enjoy.." Without having the chance to enjoy the one she downed this morning, it was only natural to be craving another that she could enjoy. It was tickling her tastebuds. "What's the usual line up on the cafeteria menu? Surprisingly, I haven't really been in there much." She had taken a couple of trips in to sit with Sid however usually they went and cooked something in their dorms or took a quick trip to the bakery when they wanted a slightly different change of scenery.

Without really looking back at Lisa as they walked, Zedena had to smile at the compliment. She honestly loved her name for it was the dearest gift her mother could have given her. Had her father had his way, she would have just been something outlandish. Where he came up with some of his ideas, she would never know, nor did she want to. That was a broken relationship since…
Zedena’s mind was thankfully brought back with Lisa’s sweet voice chiming in about dorms. Her eyes looked back to answer with a nod. “Yes. Very close to one of those locked closets some of the boys think leads to the girl’s locker room or something. They always pick the worst times to try and break in.” One would watch Zedena’s face light up with annoyance as she rolled her eyes up. How she wished she could turn them into toads…even if that might have a bit too predictable.
The idea of coffee made Zedena shiver. That stuff was far too bitter for her liking. A nice hot cup of tea on the other hand would make any day alright. Still, everyone had their own tastes in food. Though she did make notes in her mind about what people ate. She was always making notes and always watching. “Normally I just see a few pastries, some ceral, and a few smaller things. I think early in the morning they have a larger setting but I only go for that on weekends. Something light just to get me until lunch is just fine.” Light meant she wasn't falling asleep in class like half the people she saw. How many times had the guy behind her started snoring during a lecture?
Shaking her head, Zedena came to the door and pushed it open. "But we only have a few minutes anyway so I doubt they have left much out."

Liza watched Zedena express her annoyance on the matter, boys will be boys, or so they say. That however didn't make it right, to be finding all options to spy on the girls locker room. So to say the problem needed solving, maybe one day she and Zedena should prank them in to submission. The roll of her friends eyes just confirmed that they would deserve it. She for one, would like to ease the irritation it caused Zedena. If there was a problem it needed to be solved. What better way to get hard-headed boys running than having two girls play them at their own game?
"They deserve to be taught a lesson." She tutted, simplet towards the green haired witchling then turned her head towards the cafeteria once the door was opened, looking on to a vast deliverence of people, all sat round tables, throwing the leftovers to the waste then getting up to follow back to class which was indeed about to begin. Carefully grabbing Zedena's hand, she tucked her close to her side, weaving in and out of the students that danced past them and made for the counter. She looked up to the menu, it had a variety however spying what was left on the side, a couple of lonely pastries she decided to keep things simple.
"I'll have a coffee please, to go..." It wasn't like there wasn't time to drink it as they gradually headed back to the classroom. "Danish and-" Her blues took to the taller girl with great care. "Hey, I'll treat you for dragging you down here with me." A sweet chuckle hummed from her throat, as she tilted her head, waiting and wondering what the girl may like for breakfast. "What would you like?"
