I--LiveWire--I Saisho trots casually towards a small group of humans and Azrein alike. He closed the gap between them and him quickly. Coming to a stop he swished his tail, bright smile growing as he greeted them. "It's a nice day, isn't it?" He said, his voice soft and clear. King Azreth
The King slid from Valdien's back, tilting his head to the side as he walked in a circle around the new arrival.
"I don't think I've seen you before, stallion." The King offers the Azrein a low, sweeping bow, lifting a hand to prevent his crown from sliding off. "I am Azreth, King of this Isle. Welcome, my friend."
I--LiveWire--I Saisho watches as Azreth slips from the winged Azrein's back. He offered a friendly smile, his hazel eyes calmly following The King as he walks a circle around him. Sai is respectfully quite as Azreth bows, introduces himself and welcomes him. He brings one knee to the the ground, extenting the other leg outward, he lowers his head in a bow, pony tail trailing to the ground. "It's an honor to meet you, King Azreth." He said humbly before rising back up from the bow. Giving The King a bright, closed eyed smile he introduced himself. "I'm Saisho Musuko, thank you for your warm welcome, friend."King Azreth
Valdien nods respectfully towards the woman. "Might I ask your name, my lady? It seems as if my Bonded is otherwise engaged." The stallion gives a mock-sigh, and graces the lady and her three Azrein with a grin. "Any time he sees a new Azrein, he does this sort of thing. My apologies."
Azreth smiles, pleasantly surprised at the stallion's bow. "My, my. And here I thought Valdien was the only stallion to whom respect and chivalry still mattered." The King approaches Sai, placing a hand on his forehead, tracing the darker symbol there lightly with his thumb. "It is an honor to meet you as well, Saisho. Might I ask how you found the Greater Herd?" The King's hand cupped the curve of the stallion's jaw.
I--LiveWire--I Sai whinnied, smile turning to a bright grin at The King's words. Respect was one thing that Sai showed everyone, deserving or otherwise. He swished his tail, contentedly, as Azreth traced the symbol on his forehead. Un-phased by Azreth's question, Sai looked calmly into The King's eyes. Sai's hazel eyes where like windows to his gentle and kind-heated soul. "I was shown the way by a young man, who calls himself Live." He replied, voice calm and open.

The King tilted his head to the side, a stray lock of blonde hair falling into his features. "Live, you say?" Azreth let out a low chuckle. "That is a nice name, I must admit." The King let his hand fall from the stallion's forehead, turning on his heel to stride back over to Valdien, who bumped the King in the chest with his nose.
Azreth sighed and bent his neck to rest his forehead against his stallion's, sliding his arms around the Azrein's proudly arched neck, burying his fingers in Valdien's loose mane. "Sai, this is my Bonded, Valdien."
"Pleased to meet you, Saisho." Valdien gave his wings a small shake, settling the purple half-cloak he wore about his shoulders. "It is good to know that yet another stallion has arrived; as odd as it sounds, there are almost too many mares to keep track of. It will be nice to have a stallion to speak with."
"If I might ask, have you Chosen Live to be your own, or is this man merely an acquaintance?" Azreth spoke to Sai, though his gaze rested on Valdien's multi-hued wings, marveling in the rise and fall of them as his Bonded breathed.

Sai grinned. "Indeed, a nice name." He said, a fond note in his tone, as the King's hand slid from his forehead. His lively eyes followed Azreth's stride over to his bonded. Just by witnessing their interaction, Sai could tell the two where close, much more so than friends. A soft, happy smile came to his face, touched by the bond the two shared.
Sai briefly lowered his head in a respectful greeting. "Pleasure to meet you too, Valdien." He greeted, giving him a closed eyed smile. Sai chuckled "I'm sure our conversations will be a nice change of pace then." he said lightly.
Sai shifted his gaze from Valdien to Azreth as he spoke, asking of the man Live, even though he wasn't looking at him. Sai's expression became mildly thoughtful for a moment before replying. "I guess I have Chosen Live." He said, his tone soft, caring. He hadn't really thought about it before but when he was asked it occurred to him that he indeed shared a special bond.

Azreth nodded, releasing Valdien from his embrace. "I am happy to hear that, Sai." The stallion could tell from the King's tone that the man was indeed quite pleased; the man's baritone had softened noticeably, and a small smile played on his lips. There was nothing more sacred in all the world to him than the bond between an Azrein and their Chosen.
"Then your Live will become a part of you," the King said, "he will become one with you, in a way; you will never have another secret, nor will you ever have to carry a burden on your own again." Azreth sent a small grin Valdien's way. "Nor will you have privacy, as your Bonded is always in your head with you, but it's a small price to pay for what you will gain." Azreth rubbed Valdien's ear affectionately.
"And your human will become irate and obnoxious, and have royal fits, but as the King said, it is worth it." Valdien shook off Azreth's hand, flicking his wings quickly to catch Azreth across the face with a few primary feathers before trotting elegantly over to Saisho's side. "When shall we meet your Chosen, my friend? I know Azreth must be dying to have some male bonding time." Valdien placed a rather odd emphasis on the last three words of his statement.
Azreth waved a hand flippantly, openly scoffing at Valdien's words. The King lay a hand on Saisho's jacket, rubbing the fabric of the garment's collar between his thumb and forefinger absently. "As if, you royal nag. Though I would enjoy meeting the man who has won Sai's heart."

Sai smiled, touched by the genuine happiness his tone held for the bond he had already started to form. As The King continued speaking Sai only became happier. There was no one else out there, other than Live, that he felt like he could share even his deepest secrets with. Though the bond between Sai and Live is still new, it is strong.
Sai watched the two, amusement in his expression. "Royal fits, huh. I don't believe Live has any royal blood in his veins." Sai joked lightly, smiling. Sai looked over at Valdien as he asked about meeting his chosen. He raised an eyebrow at the odd tone in the stallion's voice as he said 'male bonding time'. He looked over at Azreth when he lay a hand on his jacket collar, eyes full of amusement. Sai grinned. "How about now?" Sai asked brightly, sensing the closeness of Live's presence. Live was in the general vicinity, just not showing himself.

Azreth leaned back against Valdien's shoulder, grinning right back at Sai. "Now would be fantastic, actually. It's been a while since I've talked to a human." Boy, did that sound depressing.
"And meeting another male besides the King over there would be absolutely enthralling." Valdien made a show of rolling his eyes. "It's about time I found out if every human man is as cocksure and obnoxious as Kingy."
Azreth swatted at Valdien's ears, laughing.

Sai smiled and whinnied. This meeting would be interesting. He was about to call out when Live dropped from a nearby tree. He wore all black and his plated boots appeared to be designed to look like the claws of an animal. I also appeared to have a tail and very cat-esch ears. And two identical staffs where strapped to his back.
Live landed in a crouch. Rising to his feet he looks up with bright green eyes at Sai and the others. A mischievous smile playing at his lips. "Sai, who have you gone and made friends with this time." He teased, though there was a hint of exasperation in his voice.
Sai just gave his Chosen a closed eyed smile. "Live, meet Valdien and his Chosen King Azreth. Azreth, Valdein, meet Live my Chosen"

With a practiced air, Azreth sized up the man quickly. It was part of his training as King to ensure he always had a feel for people before they got one of him. And though he could trust any Azrein who had Bonded, he was always wary upon first meeting humans.
Because of his position, Azreth knew people occasionally became close to him because they coveted what he had: power. However, another part of his training was certainly the most important: theatre.
He always had to put on a front, constantly had to be on his toes, and he was absolutely adept at whatever role he chose to play. This time, though, upon meeting Live, Azreth simply opted for his more comfortable and well-known mask.
Valdien shifted his weight, giving the King a small nudge with his shoulder to break him from his wool-gathering. "Welcome, Live." The Azrein inclined his head politely towards the man.
"Live, what a pleasure to meet you." Azreth grinned, shaking off his thoughts. "I suppose you've heard all we've spoken of?"

Live looked Azreth over, trying to get a feel for him as Azreth did the same. This was something Live had honed recently, since Sai had a way of meeting and 'befriending' anyone that crossed his path. Live had had to help Sai out of a number of sticky situations due to Sai' s refusal to, as he says it, cast doubt where it need not be cast. He didn't quite trust Azreth, yet, but he didn't think that Azreth was an immediate threat. So, he set the thoughts aside as Valdien spoke.
"Thank you." He said calmly, his bright, mischievous eyes lingering on his multicolored wing, before he returned his focus to Azreth. "It's nice to meet you as well, King Azreth." He said with a hint of sarcasm. He knew of the king of these lands, but he had never met the real thing. Though he had met a couple of people who had claimed to be King Azreth, so it seemed natural that he doubt another man using that name.
Sai sighed, it seemed that he would never get live to understand that doubting wouldn't get you anywhere. He smiled at his chosen. Oh well, that is one one of the reasons I like the guy so much.Sai thought.

Azreth let out a sigh. What was it with people not believing he was King? Granted, he certainly looked to young and...well, too disheveled to be a King, but what did they expect? With all of the anxiety and sleepless nights he faced, Azreth guessed he couldn't blame them not not believing him.
"Er. Yeah." Azreth refrained from jabbing back at Live with sarcasm of his own, though just barely. "How are you liking the Isle so far, Live?"
Valdien's eyes narrowed and the stallion gave a low snort. He always got so defensive whenever someone doubted his Chosen; Azreth would never lie about who he was, though it was not pride that made him so. He just wanted to see that even though he was King, he had faults and was a person, too. Valdien twitched his wings irritably and took a breath to speak, but Azreth lay a hand on his neck, stopping him before he chided the human.
Valdien pressed his ears flat against his skull and shook his head. He stomped a hoof on the ground beneath him, the gold-plated bracers he wore catching the silver light of the moon and reflecting it into the human's eyes for a brief moment. The stallion shifted his weight, pretending nothing had happened and listened politely to the conversation.

Live smiled, taking Azreth's response as a good sign. He still wasn't completely sure that he was king, but that fact he hadn't instantly jumped to claim the title and set Live straight meant he was likely the real deal. Live was about to respond to Azreth's question when light flashed in his eyes. Startled, instinct took over for a second. He had expertly pulled the staffs from his back and taken up a defensive posture before he put the pieces together. He took a deep breath and as he returned the staffs to his back he apologized. "Sorry." he said sincerely, but giving no explanation to his actions.
Sai went from relaxed, to mildly worried, to calm again when Live put away his staffs. Live tended to get a bit jumpy around strangers, so the sudden distraction from his current thoughts had triggered a defensive instinct. Sai, brushed it off and smiled. "I like it here." Sai brightly answered Azreth's question to live.

As soon as Live's hands moved, Azreth's fingers found the hilt of his sword and had it drawn before the man could take a breath. Noting that he had meant no harm, the King had quickly resheathed his sword, hopefully before Live had noticed.
It seemed as if both of them were on their toes, huh? "No worries. Sometimes Val doesn't think before he moves his legs." The King paused in thought. "Or his mouth."
Valdien didn't dignify the light-hearted insult with a response. He simply extended his wings with a snap, catching Azreth just below the ribs as the King yelped. The stallion let out a heart chuckle at his King's expense. "Ah, don't mind us. Anyway, Sai, I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. Though I'll warn you, it's actually quite peaceful now."
The King sobered immediately at his Bonded's words and he nodded gravely. "This is the calm before the storm. I can feel it in my bones. The Agents of the Six are going to move. And soon, I'm sure." The King's mood had done an abrupt turn-around; he seemed anxious, almost broody in his worry as he fell silent, bringing his thumb to his mouth to chew on his nail absently.

Live had glimpsed the flash of movement from Azreth but as he hadn't struck as Live but away his staffs, Live wasn't even aware The King had actually drawn his blade. He looked from Azreth to Valdien and then to Sai as Azreth put him at ease. He took a couple calming breaths and smiled. "That's alright, Sai doesn't usually think before he makes friends." Live teased, hinting that bad things had come of Sai's uncontrollable ability to try and be everyone's friend. While at the same time saying that Azreth and Valdien happened to be some of the few decent people Sai had befriended.
Sai just smiled, taking no offense to his Chosen's words. He knew it was all in good fun. Then the mood shifted down a more dismal route, one that Sai didn't like. Though he knew Azreth's words were true. However, Sai didn't let it bring him down. With overwhelming optimism in his voice he declared. "We'll just work things out and things will be peaceful again." His voice confident, like he was sure it could be just that easy.
Live sighed and rolled his eyes, saying nothing. He smiled anyway, wishing that everything could be solved the way Sai always seemed to think he could solve everything. Oh what a wonderful world it would be if only it was true.

With a sigh, shaking off his foul mood, Azreth pulled himself onto Valdien's back, locking his knees behind the stallion's wings. To placate the carefree Sai, the King grinned and replied, "Yeah, you're right, Saisho. In time, everything will work out."
Valdien lifted his wings so the King could tuck his legs in securely before lowering then once more. "Would the two of you care to join us for our patrol? If not, I completely understand, yet we cannot allow the Greater Herd to remain unprotected."
Azreth nodded. "We rarely relax these days, being so short-handed and what not. We've been known to doze on the move while on patrol, so company would be welcome. If you'd rather not though, that's quite alright. It's boring at the best of times, and dangerous at worst."

Sai beamed, happy that Azreth had pulled himself out of his bad mood. Even more so that he had said Sai was right. Sai threw Live a playful 'somebody understands' look. "That's right, with time and perseverance any problem can be solved." He said positively.
Live ginned, loving that often annoying positive energy Sai possessed. He turned his green eyes to Valdien when he started to speak. Then they trailed to Azreth. He was thinking about how he ought to reply when Sai did so for him.
"We'd love to come with you. It'll be more fun that way." He said enthusiastically. Avoiding using any kind of wording that made it sound like work. Opting to make the job sound like it was just a fun little outing.
Live shook his head with a chuckle. "I thought you didn't like work." Live teased Sai. "We'll go. It will be a good opportunity to get to know you and this beautiful land better." Live said coolly.
