Senero had left his pride earlier in the morning, slipping away without informing his brother nor his father. Not that he needed to inform them really, but he did feel bad at leaving behind his brother should the boy come looking for Senero again, which he hadn't in a while but still. Senero was a little anti-social at times, but he did care for his family. He just appreciated the silence more.

He kept his eyes on the ground, keeping a look out for any herbs that might be useful for him. He was a medicine man – making up for all the stupidity of the pridal members. It was frustrating at times, and amusing at other times. He was probably easily amused at the follies of other people, but really, some of the things they required herbs for were silly and it did brighten up his day.

He gave a slight smirk, fondly remembering some of the odder ones - caught up in his own thoughts that he didn't notice he was by-passing several of the herbs he would usually stop the gather.

Anu was on the prowl again, her long, limber legs carried her extradanarily gracefully for all the power built in them. This was not to say grace, brought some sense of balance, it was indeed the opposite. Battered and bruised, this cheetah looked like she was thrown against rocks and tossed to and from water holes. She was an absolute disaster, but for some reason felt she had no time to stop. Pain coursed through her body when she stepped a few times ad she uttered a whimper. That sound was all she would allow herself, where she was headed in a hurry she didn't have the foggiest, but she was certainly needed somewhere. Anu just couldn't admit she was abandoned by her caravan. They hadn't said a word, but this was not their fault, she had misplaced herself. This was not unusual, and had been a pending issue. She was forgetful, but lovable. The forgetfulness was just an issue they dealt with because she was so kind.

It was a rock that stopped her for once and all, she felt her toe slam into it's jagged surface and she winced, giving out a terrific cry in agony. Lost, alone and distressed she had injured herself beyond walking, at least for a few hours. She felt drained anyway and with a few calming songs through her mind she began to relax.

Senero's head jerked up at a distressed cry, his peaceful thoughts shattered by the noise. He froze, waiting to hear if it continued - like it would if someone was being attacked but it was only a singular cry and that intrigued him. He glanced back towards where his pride was, however he was not one to leave someone in distress - even if it was usually their own fault that they were in distress. He scoffed and set off in a cautious pace towards where he'd heard the cry. It sounded feminine, but it was possible it was a youth - cubs generally sounded the same, or so Senero thought. He was careful as he drew closer to where he thought he heard the noise.

He was responsible, not stupid. He wasn't going to injure himself over something stupid, but he knew even if it were a fight, he would not be able to walk away without attempting to help. He would expect someone to help if he were in a battle, he knew, so he had to at least help.

But there were no sounds of battle. In fact, he couldn't hear any more pained cries. He frowned.

"Hello?" He called out, his voice was a low sound, despite it's loudness. "Is there someone hurt?" Well, he may as well get straight to the attempting-to-help part.

Greenie
A sob seeped from between her clenched jaws at the thoughts of being alone, hurt, now hungry and wishing, no praying someone would help her. Her prayers were answered shortly, the padding of paws wandering towards her echoed over her own tears which she now began to try and control. Especially when a male voice echoed into her private session. She recoiled and whimpered softly, she was only a young adult, just recently become old enough to truly pay tribute to hun ts and more. She was naive and adventurous. This was all her fault and now a male was on the prowl. She couldn't tell what species it was, that was when horror stories struck her mind hard, of lions, wild dogs and hyenas. She'd never met any of those species, but the stories told her everything she needed to know.

GIving a second thought she paused, before accepting help she relaxed and began to sniff the air and count the number of others, she could only smell one male, but she wasn't very practiced, given her state she surrounded. If she were to get killed or captured at least it would be over sooner giving herself in than fighting. "Hello.. over here.." She murmured, frightened by how weak her voice had become.

He had almost thought that the creature had been a figment of his imagination as an answer did not come quickly in return of his statement. However, his thoughts were derailed when he heard the soft - weak - voice calling back out to him. He frowned to himself, and moved towards the voice agian, pausing only to grab a few of the usual herbs - to promote blood clotting for preventing blood loss, and a moss that was good at soaking up blood. The normal, useful things.

Finally reaching the area where she was, he almost missed seeing her. She blended in with the green landscape, and for a moment he simply stared. Well, she was certianly in a roguh spot, he thought, with a pang of pity. He was a sucker for a damsel in distress, he thought self-depreciatingly.

"Hello," he greeted her. Had he been more sociable, he probably would have smiled. He was a good healer, however his bedside manner wasn't the best. "Where do you hurt?" He asked, before he could stop himself. That was a silly question, since she was quite obviously hurt in a lot of places, but perhaps she could direct him to where it hurt the most. He moved closer, cautiously, more to calm her than out of worry of attack now. He dragged the herbs from his back, where he'd stored them so he wouldn't need to carry them in his mouth, preparing to apply them if she directed him to do so.

Her eyes were wide with fear. As the male approached she noted quickly that he was a cheetah, though they were the same species, could she trust him. This made her extremely nervous as the paranoia kicked in he froze it. Where did she hurt? Her mind was beginning to fog over, but she stared him right in the face now, looking for any threat, she found none. If anything he was socially awkward? This almost made her smile, almost. "I think I've hurt my ankle, perhaps cut it open? I haven't bothered to look just yet." She was still weak, but had gained some strength through the knowledge that at least she was safe for now.

"The rest are bruises and such, nothing a clutz like myself can't handle." She gave a gentle moan as she pulled herself into what she was thinking woudl be more comfortable, but in fact caused more misery, giving it a minute she began breathing heavy through the stress than found a song to help her relax. She let her muscles go, groaned once more than gazed at her 'doctor'.

"My name is Anu, its short, for a name so long I couldn't sprint before finishing pronouncing it. But its mine. Whats yours?" She was trying to find simple conversation to keep herself from completely dropping away into nothing.

Senero almost winced at her comment. Well, at least it was mostly superficial wounds, he thought to himself, already thinking back over the herbs he had passed on his way. He could make up some paste, to cover the majority of her bruises, and perhaps something to clense any impurities from them, so as to heal them better if she didn't feel like being covered head to toe in paste - which she likely would at the moment, considering she was covered in bruises.

"Let me look," he told her, stepping closer and trying to peer at her ankle. "And bruises is not something you should 'handle', there are ways to eliviate the discomfort and heal them quicker. No point being a hero when you can prevent the majority of the pain associated with it." He gave her a sharp look, as if to warn her to not try to be a hero.

At her introduction, he stared at her with a blank look. Ah. Formalities. He'd hoped to bypass them but it seemed this female was friendly. "Senero," he told her, simply. "Just Senero." He had no long name, which was probably a good thing, though a few of his family members had longer names. He liked his short. Like himself, it was simple and to the point.

Greenie
Simple, he was simple. This managed to make her smile quite largely, not to mention he was genuinely concerned for her well being. Mind you she did not know that it was his duty to be concerned, but hey? Take the love where you think you can get it, right? Brandished with lovely thoughts she beamed at him, not in love, but extraordinarily happy about what she had stumbled upon. "Well, /just/ Senero... what is it you have to alleviate the pain I'm feeling currently?" She was kind of huddled at this point to get a better look at what exactly she had done to herself. Her stage of blubbering and mourning over. The dark sky may not have been inviting, but this gentle soul eased any tension she felt.

"Will my ankle be fine?" She could not tell if perhaps she really wasn't feeling it, or she was just numb from being in one position for to long.

Velvie
Senero hid a wince at the sight of her ankle. It wasn't bad, but it would be sore for a while, he realised, almost sympathetically. He wondered what she'd done to get all these bruises and cuts. Something stupid, most likely. He shook his head and refocused on her. "Herbs," he told her simply. "There are some that release pleasant flavours that will dull pain when you chew on them, and there are also others that applied to wounds will dull it at the source." He was already considering which ones to use. Considering she was rather heavily covered in abrasions, the idea of covering her in herbs was unlikely. The chewable herbs it was then.

"Your ankle will be fine," he informed her. "It will be sore for a long while though. You will need to be careful not to walk on it much for the next few days or so. Give your body some time to heal it." He shifted, and glanced back the way he had come. "Give me a moment and I will return with something for the pain," he said, bowing his head to her and slipping off into the surrounding area to find the herbs, but careful not to leave completely. She would be able to see him occassionally, and hear his movements as he gathered.

It was an easy job, considering that he had lived nearby his whole life and had spent a lot of time wandering in search of interesting things. He grabbed a few herbs to make a paste to purify her ankle of anything that might infect it too, as well as the pain releaving herb, and set off back towards her, his bounty on his back.

She half listened to his explanation and focused more on feeling each movement she pulsed through her body. All was numb. "Could.. could I try and get up a little bit soon. I think I may be numb from neck down right now. The fall hasn't done me well to say the least." She says, her mind elsewhere, gone away to think on where her careless family was and what she would do from now on. There seemed to be no home for her, she had become the definition of a stow away. "Well at least there is a way you can help me, I'll take whatever I can get." Her words echoed the loneliness that resided in her heart. Her words were earnest, she wanted the help, but her tone reflected a different attitude, as if 'why bother', it was only her anyway.

"Who are you?" She asks, suddenly very aware that a complete stranger came to her rescue when her own people wouldn't. People she probably, actually definitely wouldn't see again, not that she felt any regret towards that. "I mean, you happen to be in the right place, at the right time and know a thing or two about herbs. I came from a family that knew all that, but never lended a helping paw." She became cold, her toe on edge and nervous. What did he want from her. She was terrified, but only her eyes showed this. Even her body cringed away from his touch and eyes. She was unsure and nervous.

"Whose the cheetah behind the mask." She simply demanded this.

Velvie
Senero hesitated. Standing up might do more damage to her ankle and delay her healing, but going numb from the neck down was not a good idea in any circumstance. Especially not when you needed to feel your body to check pain level when healing. "Yes," he told her, placing the herbs by his feet, sounding reluctant. "Rise carefully." He hesitated, before offering simply, "I will prevent you from falling if you start to wobble, as it would only injure you further." Plus, he disliked seeing people hurt, even if he didn't particularly appreciate company that often. She seemed a little...lonely, though. He watched her curiously, though he was mildly startled by her sudden question.

Ah. He had been surprised she had not seemed suspicious early, but here it was at last. Better late than never. "I am a Commisceo in the Legio pride, who's borders are not far from here," he explained, keeping his distance, and tending to the herb. "I am a herb mixer, though I dabble in assisting the medics when need be. I make the herbs mixes that the Medics use, so I also know how to administer them."

He peered at her with calm eyes, not taking offense to her domand. He had never been quick to anger, merely quick to annoyance. "There is no mask. I am simply offering my assistance as a healer to someone who needs to heal. Nothing more."

Greenie
Not completely take by his answer she slowly began to stand with his okay. Odd, she listened to him, but did not completely trust him yet. Though he seemed true. She let it sink in slowly and absorbed what his words meant. He was a healer, he wasn't not showing any outstanding kindness to her, he was just giving her what his job description entitled as attention. This made her seriously upset, stil grateful, but upset. She stood, and made space. It wasn't his job to protect her and she wanted to make that known. The space between would be enough, she decided this by scooting a little more. The standig brought a cringe to her face as the feeling returned and she realized what boat she had ust boarded. "Ow..." She murmured softly and heaved in a deep breath to keep her mind from becoming fuzzy.

"Well, the feeling is back.. I'll lay down, you can get to giving me the herbs and I'll be on my way." She said, her words were slow and picked out from a whole stack of choices she could have said, but she wasn't prepared to stay here and feel as lonely with someone as she did by herself. She rather be by herself. Anu sighed softly and lay back down, moving so she coudl hide her face a little she let her head fall. A tear gently touched her cheek as she thought of her childhood and how pathetic she must look now. If her parents could only see her, if she only knew her real parents. This thought struck harder than she thought it would and she shuddered slightly.

Her thoughts shifted and her hatred returned lightly, /he can only see what is on the outside, he cannot see the wounds inside.../ the thought drove her to hold her breath and count a moment. The counting helped, as per usual and she remained calmed and sheltered in her mind.

Senero shifted his stance when she stood. prepared to leap into action to support her if she wobbled, but it seemed he had underestimated her strenght, as she continued to stand for a moment, on her own strength, even if it did seem to pain her quite a bit. He felt grudging respect for the female who was so stubbourn, and more than a little annoyance. He nodded as she mentioned the feeling was back. "That's good, in a way," he murmured, mostly to fill the silence. He was usually comfortable with the silence, but this female made him want to say something - to fill the empty silence with some sort of noise. He frowned a little though. "You are unlikely to be ready to walk for at least a day, else you will only make the wounds worse," he warned her.

He hesitated when she turned away, hiding her face even as she laid back down. Why did he have the feeling he had done something wrong without knowing it? He groaned inwardly. This was why he avoided contact with others. There was too many things he simply didn't understand. He pushed the herb towards her, placing it by her paw. "Chew on the leaves of this one," he told her. "Try to pick it from the stems, as their bitter. Unpoisonous, just generally unpleasant to eat."

He kept the other herbs in front of him, and glanced around, spotting a flat rock. With a nod, he shifted the herbs over to it, and picked a few leaves of each with his mouth. He placed them on the rock and, spying a smaller rock, took the small rock in his mouth to grind the herbs together in a paste. He never felt graceful using this method as it was quite awkward and difficult, but he did not have his grinding rock with him, so it would have to do. He could hardly drag the female back to his pride, simply so he could be comfortable with his mixing.
