Apparently, many years ago, one Jasper Pendergast attended a camp along the lake outside Destiny City. It had been closed for so many years, leaving the boys out of making such a tradition of Pendergast children attending, that for some reason when it was spread around that the location was open yet again the two parents had decided to try it out and have their daughter attend [and really, she would be out of their hair for a while]. Ridley wouldn't really remember the name of it, even after they had told her about it several times just this week when they sprung the idea up on her.

It was rather short notice, right after school had even ended that they told her of their plans. It never dawned on her they were literally shipping her off for a few weeks for, well, peace and quiet. They were sending her to a camp. A camp that was outside. With other kids. And a lake. Overnight. With woods. And smores. And ghost stories. And... pranks. She had seen enough of those movies her brothers watched to get the basic gist of what camp was all about, and it got her terribly excited. Enough to drive her parents even more up a wall [with that basic question of 'am I going yet?!'].

So finally! FINALLY, she got to pack. Her mother had brought down her old bag, decorated with patches of cats and race cars and was now being haphazardly filled with articles of clothing. Ridley had been given a list, to make sure not to forget anything and was diligently checking them off.

"Phone charger..." She voiced to herself as she rifled through a few of the drawers for a long white cord. They better have service, she thought as she located the charger and placed it in the pile that designated where it would be packed.

Pris was 'supervising' the packing, as it was. Laying regally upon the child's bed where the two bags and many piles were being formed. The maine coon did not like the look of this. Not one bit and was not pleased when the small human had managed to pick her out of the suitcase she had situated herself in earlier.

Pris was the first to respond to the sound of a bell. Her large silver and black head picked up from its depressed looking state upon her paws. Wallowing further would have to wait as her ears perked in the general direction of the jingling, followed by her head. Pris stared at the window and her eyes seemed to glare at the obstruction in view. Another cat.

Ridley was too engrossed in her work to notice at first, walking back and forth between various locations in her room to collect things. She had a few shirts in hand when she noticed Pris staring outside at something. For a few minutes it was Ridley staring at Pris staring at ********* whilst the little girl trying to figure out if it was important to get her attention. The large cat just didn't move, she seemed entranced. Or ... angry? There was a rumble that filled the air, not a happy purr but a threatened low growl which made Ridley's head turn towards her window as well.

What came out of the little girl was the complete opposite of her cranky cat. She squeaked and bounded over to the window, dropping her shirts in the process. "*********!" She cried out, picking at the latch to shove open the other side of the window for the little manx. "HI!"

She was itchy? Ridley blinked as she looked at the small cat for a moment before reaching out and pulling her through the window and onto her desk. The little girl made sure to close the window after her, least to not make it her parents wonder why it was open in the first place and then notice a new addition to the room.

"Did you get into the bushes or something?" Her head tilted, curious as she moved one of the hands that had held the cat on the desk to scratch behind her ear and the offending spot.

Pris growled again, the long fur of her tail puffing in an agitated state. Oh god, another cat in the house.... and this one seemed very odd.

"Like a bug bite?" Ridley rationalized, trying to find a fitting connection to ********* situation. The cat didn't mean it exactly, but it seemed to be the best example she could come up with to understand it. Either way, the little girl giggled and gave her one last scratch at the nape of her neck before returning to the packing.

The first thing on her list was the gather her fallen shirts, which were picked up along the way back to her bed before depositing them in her already amassed pile. Ridley picked up her list, which had been left near the pile and looked it over. Only a few items left before she could go about double checking and actually putting the items in their appropriate bags.

"Pris, be nice." The little girl sighed, looking up from her list to give the Maine Coon a good long ruffling and petting. The large cat let out a new version of rumbles, finally akin to some purrs. This was appeasing her yes, but she still wasn't pleased with the presence of *********. Who spoke human words she did not totally understand.

"This is Pris, *********!" Ridley introduced, "Pris, this is *********! She .. awoke me as a senshi," she explained to her cat in a hushed tone. Obviously Pris would not be able to tell anyone about her secret.

Indeed Pris was not impressed, her large body shifted and her front paws reached out and tapped at the bed spread as if staking her claim on all that was within sight. Mine, was written in her bright eyes.

"I'm getting ready for CAMP!" Ridley exclaimed in glee, her arms shooting out in her excitement. "Its outside and there's apparently some woods and a lake and cabins and smores and campfires and ghost stories and canoes and sports stuff and its just outside!" As she rattled off each activity her parents had told her about, her voice got quicker and more excited and her eyes grew noticeably larger. Packing had been forgotten, in the least she was doing the same task since she started talking about her trip.

"It's going to be SO COOL!"

"My mom isn't the camping type," Ridley mused. If the child had ever seen the movie, she could compare her mother more to Phyllis Nefler from Troop Beverly Hills really. So, the Pendergast children had grown up without camping, at least to her knowledge, or at least after she had been born. Well, true camping, "My dad did pitch a tent for me in the backyard!" She remembered, excited, "Dodger chewed it up though..." completed the memory.

But, this would be her first camping trip in the least, and maybe if it went well it could become a yearly thing for her. Which excited Ridley to no end. The mere thought put an extra bounce in her step as she completed another round of her room and traveled back to her bed to sort through things.

"Well," she began, even going through the non-clothing pile. ********* obviously knew about those items, which she wouldn't need to explain, "My DSi, my phone, a camera for pictures even though I'll probably take them on my phone or DSi, some fun hair things, some... um... prank.. stuff," did ********* count as an adult in this situation? Should the cat know she was bringing in such things? Crap, "UM, a hat, a fun towel that has Power Rangers on it, chargers for stuff..." Hm.. what else did she have? Ridley shifted a little more through her pile. Huh, wasn't that much really.

"I can imagine I'll be too busy to really need to bring too much, huh?"

Pris made a soft sound as her paws got a hold of one of the cords to Ridley's earphones. Her mouth went in for the kill against the thin string; thinking, if Ridley didn't have these... perhaps this packing nonsense would stop.

"Dodger is our dog," Ridley replied, "he's out back so you probably missed him. You couldn't really miss him, he's pretty fat but he has awesome floppy ears." Even with a lengthened response, there wasn't as much excitement in her voice like she would have explained most of things. So, she left it as that as she continued to sort through her clothes.

Ridley obviously didn't care about folding clothes and making them compact for travel, as she just threw them in the bag without a care. All she was doing was making sure she had picked up the right thing and shoved them in. They were at least separated, her delicates placed in a little side compartment of her bag. "I did pack those," Ridley looked up from her doings.

The orange haired girl reached over and plucked a small flower covered bag from the pile of non-clothing. "Kind of obvious you need them, so I didn't mention them." She gave the cat a very 'duh' look.

Ridley simply giggled. There might be many things she didn't understand or often forgot, but there were many things that had been drilled into her brain since she could remember. Hygiene was one of them, manners for the most part were another, as well as fire safety. So, she took the little bag she had shown ********* and put it in her suitcase. It didn't belong in her backpack after all.

"I'm putting in as much as it'll carry," she grinned. Really, she would put in as much as she had pulled out, duck tape or bungie cords could keep it closed if need be. "Do you want me to try and fit you in as well?" She joked. Then paused, her hand mid air as an idea struck her.

Ridley got excited, her eyes lit up and she turned to the small cat on her bed. "Hey! Hey! *********! Can I take you to camp with me? I'm sure I can put you in one of my bags and sneak you in! Oh man, it would be so fun!"

Pris' own head snapped to attention. She offered to bring that weird little one instead of her?! Abomination! The maine coon let out a small whine as her paws began flexing against the bedspread again, trying to reclaim some attention.
