School was over, thank the lord, goodbye and good riddance to the lot of it. Now Tali could concentrate on more important things, like her duties as a Lieutenant. Tonight she was on patrol however she was not alone, she was expecting a partner for the first time in weeks. Admittedly she would rather be a solo act yet she was holding onto hope that who ever was coming would be at least... bearable. She heard it was some new recruit named Zipp.... something, same rank as her but in her eyes that did not make them equal. If this as going to work he would have to understand she was the dominant one. It was her way or the highway, she understood the pecking order, she understood she was on the bottom of it however at the same time she knew that they were looking for leadership qualities and this was a way she could prove she had them... this was her unit and she was going to make them the best damn Duo possible. Promotion, she could smell it already.
She sat at the edge of the building, her legs dangling off the edge, the little wings on her shoes flapping back and forth. Maybe they were not the most powerful weapon, or useful one for that matter but they were hers and she had gained a attachment to them. Her fighting style was very up close and personal, using kicks and jumps to try and beat down her enemies, admittedly she had never really faced a Senshi but she was sure when the day came she would be ready, she had been training for it since she was recruited. She sighed and rested her chin on the palm of her hand, he was already late. Who did he think he was to keep her waiting, she swore if he stood her up she would hunt him down and.... and....

Oh god, he was so nervous. It was his first time powering up since he'd been recruited and Zip was not the most stable person around. Every noise made him jump, every slight breeze made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. He'd often have to remind himself that the negaverse controlled the youma, the negaverse was what went bump in the night. And he was now part of the negaverse so he should be cool, right?
Oh god, it was still so terrifying. The sooner he found the person he was supposed to patrol with, the better.
He was late, he knew that much, and he cringed at the thought of it. He was sure he wasn't making a very good impression on his superiors with his anxious demeanor and lack of punctuality, but at least the latter couldn't be helped.
He'd expected to have more freedom, coming home from Hillworth for the summer, but it was worse than prison. His dad was more paranoid than ever and kept him under such strict lock and key he had to wait until the man was good and passed out before even attempting an escape. Now he had embarrassed himself.
Sudden movement startled him. In a knee jerk movement, he clenched his eyes shut, lunged, and flicked his toy lightsaber to extend it to it's full length to deliver the hardest bop on the mystery person's head as he could, following it up by holding the toy in front of him and bracing himself.
One eye opened, curious about who he'd just hit. Upon seeing a girl... in a negaverse uniform, he not only felt like an idiot, he ended up giving her a sheepish grin laced with pure terror at the fear she would kick his a**.
"S-ss-sorry!" He squeaked out.

Trona's eyes widened as she felt something hit her on the head. She turned her head slowly to look up at the Agent behind her grinning at her like a baboon. It took her a moment to soak in the situation and she took a extra few seconds to comprehend what must have posessed him to do such a thing, only one awnser rung true.
He was a idiot.
She stood up very casually her face blank and emotionless due to the fact she was so shocked, she wanted some kind of tall, strong, brutal man who she could use and let do all her dirty work, and instead... instead. Trona was not tall herself but this guy was shorter than her, he had stupid big eyes and stupid hair and looked like he was fresh out the boy scouts. Is he really what the Negaverse want representing them? this was a joke! She realised right then what they had done, she was here to babysit him, to hold his hand... well she was sorry, she did not work that way!
She looked down at the toy in his grip, was that his weapon? Oh Jesus, Mary and Joseph this was not going to be a walk in the park. Then again... maybe that was the point, maybe they wanted to prove she could whip him into shape. It was a test, it must be I mean... she hoped it was. She held out her hand and have a small smile, of course it was fake but he did not know her well enough to know what.
"May I take a look?"
She asked batting her eyelashes innocently.

Cass flinched when she first blinked, but then slowly started to get comfortable with the fact that maybe she wasn't going to get too mad. She even smiled a little.
He hesitated when she asked to see his weapon, but hey! She was probably more experienced with this than he was, maybe she just wanted to see what he was working with.
She was the veteran here. So, with that in mind, he obliged, giving a shy little nod and handing it over.

She smiled and took it off of him, though in a second those large innocent eyes of hers melted to a cold glare. In the blink of a eye....
THWARK!
She hit him, hard. She stood with one hand on her hip, her eyes still scanning him, calculating him, trying to understand him. Despite what she thought of him they were stuck together now and he would have to lean to put up with her tought love method of teahing, until he proved he was worth something he was nothing to her. She did not have to like him as long as he did his job and leaned fast. God help her...
"Seriously? You are a Agent now, its time to man up and first off you certainly do not even point your weapon at a fellow officer, joke or no."
She stated prodding him in the chest with his 'weapon' a stern tone to her voice. She then sighed and threw it up in the air, expecting him to catch it though part of her wanted to throw the damn thing off the edge and see him free fall for it.
"Right, now that I might have knocked some sense into that little brain of yours, my name is Trona. I am your partner for the time being, lucky me."
She stated giving a light shrug, a small sarcastic ring to her words. She had to admit he was special... no one had managed to piss her off so much with out even saying a word, it was not personal. Well maybe it was a little... but come on what was she meant to do?
"So come on, cat got your tongue. What is your name recruit?"
She asked, resting her hand back on her hip with a small smirk.

"OW!" He tried to yell out, but somehow, midway through the noise, his voice cracked and it ended with a small squeak.
Still, he balled his hands into fists and narrowed his eyes at her, trying his best to keep them from watering at the throbbing pain. What. A. b***h. It wasn't like he was going to hurt her with his stupid toy. He didn't even realize she was an agent when he did it! But rather than give a snappy retort, he just pressed his lips together and continued with his little, indignant glare as he caught the toy and pushed the plastic 'blade' back into the hilt.
And he was stuck with her on his first patrol. Yaaaay.
He cleared his throat to avoid any more cracking and pushed down any unwise insults he was busy thinking before finally answering. "L-lieutenant Zippeite," He mumbled until something occurred to him. "H-... hey! Where do y-... yoyou get off t-tal-talking to me that way?! Y-y-you're a l-lieutenant t-...t-...too." The sudden bravery that had gotten him started on that sentence slowly vanished with each word he couldn't force out without stuttering, the volume going with it until the final word was nothing more than a whisper. Rather than brave, he just made himself out to be five.

"True, but this is not my first patrol. Plus I can finish a sentence with out squirming like a puppy."
She stated, stepping forward and looking down at him. She was 18 now, her birthday has just passed and she did not want a little kid to be mouthing off at her, she told herself this year she would change, this year she was going to achieve everything she wanted and would not stand for any bullshit. It was her life to take. She smirked and then put a hand under his chin lifting it up to look at her, her eyes giving off a amused and also slightly seductive look. If he was not going to be of any use to her she might as well have some fun with with him.
"When you develop a backbone then we will be equals but who are we kidding?"
She was trying to wind him up, she was podding him to show her what he was like, to study how he reacted, to push him to stand up for himself. She did not want him to cry and run away if they were attacked, or even worse freeze and beg for mercy. The Senshi had none... stupid pom pom's.
"Well Zippy, we better be on our way. Do not slow me down."
She whispered in her ear before running to the other side of the building, bouncing off the edge to land on the roof of the one bellow, knee bent. She had to learn how to be agile, how to be quick and how to be strong. She had no weapon to hide behind so she tried her best to improve the other skills at her disposal. She usually trained and pushed herself on patrol but had a feeling with Zippy here that was not going to be a option, she hoped he was not totally hopeless that he could at least make that jump... if not falling to his death might be the option with most profit on her part.
"So Zippy, tell me a little about yourself, you must have some redeeming qualities? Or are you as useless as the impression you give?"
She stated turning back around, hand on her hip, still trying to get that reaction. Still prodding around for potential or at least something she could work with.

"T-th... Thathat's not mmmy f-fault," Zippeite stammered back, getting harder and harder to force it out that angrier he got. He was not a puppy. He totally had a backbone! Except when he didn't. But he convinced himself that he would totally be lashing back if he could without embarrassing himself or being unable to squeeze more than a single word out. Maybe someday he'd be able to be angry enough to insult her back and simultaneously be able to.
It was still no excuse for why he let his chin sit in her hand while he looked stupefied, though. He had to admit, the bitchy, older girl was a little bit frightening.
She ran off to jump to the next roof and he made a little face behind her back, sticking his tongue out for good measure and straightening up when it looked like she might turn around and see.
But at least he had an opportunity to prove he wasn't worthless, here. The speedy little waif was at least composed of quite a bit of lean muscle from his various sports interests and he darted behind her, making the jump with fluid ease and pumped to follow her wherever she wanted to test him.
"I'm not uh... I-I'm not worthless," He muttered bitterly. He glanced around and saw another jump, one that was a little more challenging than the one they'd just made, and he ran and cleared that as well. To celebrate, he whirled around to stick his tongue out at her again, this time actually brave enough to not care if she saw that, and followed it up with a mocking little headstand. It was a weird combination of trying to goad her and win her approval, and also get a kick at his nega boost in strength and agility. He was already an agile little thing, so the boost made him feel magic and invincible. It was only a matter of time before he got hit in the face with a reminder that he, in fact, wasn't.

"Your rights its not, I suppose you were just born a stuttering fool."
She replied to his protest that his stuttering was not his fault, of course it was. If there was something a person did not like about themselves or something that was seen as a weakness is was up to them to change it, of course Trona did not have that problem because she, as far as she could tell, was just perfect. She watched as he landed next to her, giving a small smirk which by no means showered that she was impressed.
"Aww, congratulations. You can jump, at least we have the basic's down."
She stated, flicking her hair over her shoulder, a look of annoyance as he stuck his tongue out with her, he was a sneaky little one and it won him no favours with her, it just made him seem childish. Her gaze narrowed as she jumped after him, soon enough the two were moving from roof to roof together, Trona herself made sure to keep her eye out for Senshi, collecting Data was part of her job and she knew she had to report back if she ran into any action.
"So since we are going to be spending a lot of time together, joy of joys. I supose I should make a effort in getting to know you. So tell me, what is your life in the normal world like?"
She asked in a attempt to make some kind of conversation, she was already bored of this night and she hoped that he could tell her something about him which won him some brownie points with her, however admittedly the main reason she was prodding him was because she was a plain out nosey b*****d. She stopped on one roof and looked down bellow once more, the wind blowing at them making her hair flap back uncontrollably. You always needed to make double sure you were safe when talked about your other lives in agent form.
She wondered over to him and lowered her voice so only he could possibly hear.
"My name is Talim Nimmba and I work in HMV. I graduated Meadowview this year and am 18 years old. I also have a pet tarantula... he is called Fluffy."
She stated, folding her arms and falling into a posture which was more relaxed. It was his turn to spill the beans.
"Go."

Zippeite imitated Trona's bitchy lines with equally childish mannerisms. God, what a chore. But he still followed after her, mostly obedient until she threw the curveball of revealing a whole infodump about herself.
And, oh god, she wanted to know his real name too? The last thing he wanted was seeing Trona in his regular, every day life. And also finding out he had a girl's name. If she was bitching about his qualities already, he was quite certain he'd never hear the end of it if he revealed such an embarrassing thing.
"My 'name' is Zippeite," He said mockingly with finger quotes. "I'm fifteen and if I had a pet I wouldn't tell you because you'd probably eat it," He sneered. That was totally worth the long silence of stringing it together in his head.

"Fifteen? Seriously? What is a guy like you doing in the Negerverse, aren't you too busy with puberty, spots and other kid things. These are the big boy leagues you know not a baby sitting service, think you can hack it?"
Her sister was his age and she could certainly not imagine her sister doing the things she did, this guy seemed too niave to understand what he had gotten himself into, did he know he could get hurt, did he know he could die. This was not a game, Trona herself took her duties seriously, she was willing to die to get the power she desired. To be someone special, her worst nightmare was to leave this life being another face in the crowd. What motivated him to fight? Did he even have a reason? Her eyebrows knitted together at his next comment.
"Oh no, I much prefer eating rude little boys, watch out I might bite."
She stated, giving him another glare. If he was going to mock her she would turn into the big bag wolf, it is a role she played often and very well. She landed on another roof and this time hauled once more. Resting a hand on her hips.
"Fine Zippy have it your way. How about me and you do a quick training exercise, show me what you have got."
She stated, maybe she just wanted to beat him up... that was one reason she wanted to fight him but on the other hand she would find it useful to actually know what skill he did process. She brought her heels together, the little wings on her shoes flapping like they were on crack... to no obvious affect.

Well that was unfair. She didn't know anything about him, maybe he was secretly some murderous nutcase who reveled at the thought of not only beating senshi into a bloody pulp but getting the satisfaction of ripping the starseeds out of their chests. Which wasn't that far from the truth. He just didn't really care to admit it often because sometimes his violent little fantasies got him strange looks.
Still, he was definitely old enough to get started on at least training. But rather than huff back some insult all he could do was make a face. Angry face.
Ooo, an empty insult about 'eating him'. Wait, that sounded dirty. Still, angrier face.
"F-Fine!" He snapped with a little foot stomp for good measure. Right now he was a little over confident, or maybe just full of wishful thinking, that he could handle anything this b***h dished out.

Trona smirked as he put his best foot forward so it seemed, she was finally getting to him and it was about time, now she wanted to see what he was really capable of. She cracked her fingers and focused on the fight which was ahead.
"Silly little rabbit."
She smirked and then ran forward towards him, bringing up her foot to launch a flying jump kick towards his head. Trona did not have a weapon as such, she had shoes, shoes that actually gave her a little spring in her step so she had tried her best to concentrate on her foot work. Jumps, kicks, spins, some acrobatics. That is the area that she specialised in.
As the shoe flew towards the agents head, the little wings as always were flapping like never before in a way straining themselves to make her kick faster.
One day they would make her fly.

Well. To say he wasn't expecting a kick to the head would maybe be stretching the truth a little. He was half expecting Trona to tackle him in a frenzy and claw his eyes out. but when the kick actually came, he just barely escaped a footprint on his skull by instinctively bringing the toy up between him and her shoe.
Instead, the plastic hit him with a softer force that still knocked him to the side, making him stumble a little. It was on.
He could take her, he was sure of it. Sure she was more experienced and bigger than him but... well, he was still pretty sure he could take her. She was still equal to him at rank. And she was just a girl. Regaining his footing, he darted around, eager to chase her and try to match fancy footwork. Zip was a track star, and a long time Little Leaguer. He was confident in his physical skills at least, in spite of being small. Flicking the toy so the 'blade' was at full length, he went after Trona, ready to swing it like a baseball bat at her figure. Except the swing didn't go as planned.
God he sucked, and with this realization, he hoped she'd be knocked off balance enough not to follow him when he ran. Because he ran. And he had no idea how he was going to face Painite after this embarrassment.
