"I swear to god," Flora snapped, aiming a kick at the youma's ribs; a skeleton-like creature that seemed to be covered in something putrid and green, like rotting moss. Could moss even rot? The Senshi of Spring didn't pause to think, nor did she really care, and continued her angry tirade. "You youma only like showing up when it inconveniences us the most, don't you? The last few nights I was out, I barely ran into much trouble, and then when I don't need your presence..." She finished with another kick to the nether regions of the creature, although it didn't seem to be bothered by it.
Of course. What had she expected from doing that? She was just tense, furious that she had merely been waiting by Shufflepuck after texting Lucy her location, and lo and behold, a youma had decided to go on rampage. There were no other senshi nearby, and she had waited for a few moments before henshining.
Maybe she would defeat this youma before Lucy even got here! Knowing him, he would take some slow and boring pace at his own leisure, right? "I will kill you," Super Sailor Flora hissed at it, dodging a rake of its claws, "if you hurt Lucy."

With his siblings in bed and his parents still out, sneaking out of the house was no trouble at all. After checking on his little sister and little brother one more time, Lucien threw on a thin jacket before slipping out of his house. While he wouldn't admit it, his heart was beating a little erratically at the fact that Eve intended to show him tonight. Just what kind of dangerous job did she have? What if she's in trouble right this second?
The moment the thought crossed his mind, he instinctively began to walk a little faster. Eventually, he was jogging towards his destination, his mind filling with frightening scenarios that Eve could have fallen into that very second. And this was Eve he was talking about! The petite (well, compared to him) and generally annoying but lovable blond. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, but she didn't look like the type who would be able to defend herself if, say, a group of muggers harassed her.
Then again, she was pretty damn deadly with that bag of hers. Wincing, Lucien rubbed at his bruised arm again.
As he neared the appointed location, he immediately knew that something was wrong. For one thing, Eve was nowhere in sight. And then other?
"What the hell is that?"

Flora froze as a familiar voice floated through the air, giving the youma an opening to kick her right in the stomach. She landed on her back, right in front of Lucy and for a moment, simply stared at up him, hoping that it was a dream. A roar from the youma snapped her out of her thoughts and Flora scrambled up to her feet, cursing in her mind for letting her guard down. "You have horrible timing." She snapped at the blonde boy, pushing him backwards. "Don't go near that thing!"
The last time the youma had managed to nick on her bare arm, Flora had noticed that red bumps had started to form on the very same place and she had to fight back a desire to scratch at it. At least she had gloves on, she thought and grabbed one of the creature's arm, aiming a kick to its abdomen.
...What she didn't expect was for half of the arm to come off in the impact and both she and the monster stumbled backwards in shock. The part of the arm turned to dust in her hand, Still, to be careful, she concentrated her gaze on the stump and she grinned as it did not reform. "Well, looks like we've got a plan."
The youma let out a displeased roar and charged right towards... and past her to the civilian, deciding to change targets for now. "Great!" Sarcasm and horror was laced in her voice as Flora charged after it. "Oi! Youma! Flora Pollen Fever!" She directed the cloud in its direction, hoping to distract it. "Lucy! Cover your nose and mouth!"

What was going on whatwasgoingon whatthehellwasgoingon!?
What was that thing? It looked...could it have been one of those weird monsters that had been abuzz on the news these days? And who was that girl fighting it? Most importantly, where was Eve?!
There were way too many questions floating through Lucien's mind and not enough answers. He wasn't even sure whether he was supposed to run or not. Fortunately, the girl (who was not dressed very properly for the weather, Lucien noted with distaste) had given him a very clear order to stay back. He'd keep his distance, but...he couldn't run just yet.
"I'm looking for my friend!" He yelled, hoping that his voice would reach her (though he knew that she was pretty busy right now, what with ripping off monster arms and all that), "I was supposed to meet her here! Do you know where she--oh." Cutting himself off, the young man stared blankly as the monster suddenly came charging at him. Instinct told him to get the hell out of there, but his feet wouldn't move. If that thing attacked him--
He snapped his head up upon hearing his nickname--the one that only one person he knew used. Without asking any questions, he obediently cupped his hands over his nose and mouth.

"Uh," Flora said, just as the youma, distracted by the pollen, turned to hiss at her. Predictably, really, seeing as how experience had taught her that youma's first priority was usually to attack senshi. Still, she couldn't breathe a sigh of relief just yet; she had to fend off the monster while coming up with an explanation for Lucy. "I think I saw some civilians evacuate the area." She yelled back, trying to keep things as vague as possible, while taking a few steps backward to draw the youma away from him.
Hopefully, that explanation would satisfy him? She was way too distracted on formulating a plan to defeat the youma looming right in front of her; sure, she could continue breaking limbs off, but would it stop? There had to be some part of it that controlled the rest of the body right? The head? She wondered, gaze flickering to the glowing red eyes of the monster. But how do I rip the head off its body?
The youma growled, launching itself at her and grabbing her leg, pulling her down on her back. On one hand, she was thankful that her Super form had stockings, because she wasn't keen on getting rashes on her legs as well, but on the other, Lucy was still there and could very well get hurt if she wasn't careful!
Some civilians, Flora thought with a groan, really needed to learn how to just run away. She aimed a kick at the monster, dislodging its remaining hand from its torso. Ewwwwww! She thought with a grimace, dragging herself up, shaking her foot as it crumbled into dust. "Look, Lucy, just get away before you get sprayed by youma dust, because trust me, it's the most vile thing ever!"

Pollen? Of all things, it had to be pollen? Lucien was certainly lucky he had received the warning beforehand--if he hadn't, the poor man would have been sneezing up a fit. As it was, not all the dust could clear by the time he lowered his hands, and his eyes almost immediately filled up with tears as he sneezed. "Oh, you have got to be kidding me--achoo!"
But nevermind that. He looked at the girl through blurry eyes when she provided an explanation. The civilians were evacuated? Then if he was lucky, Eve would be among them. However, just as he was about to thank the mysterious, inappropriately-dressed girl and run off, he found himself glancing towards her uncertainly. She looks like she's dealt with these kind of things before, he mused, his lips tugging downwards into a frown, But what if I leave and she gets into trouble? It doesn't look like she has anyone to help her right now.
"Will you really be alright alone?" He called to her, gaze flickering warily towards the monster and then back to her, "I can call the police or somethi--wait. What did you just call me?" The blond man stared, his brows knitting together in confusion. She just called him Lucy, didn't she?
Then the person who yelled at him to cover his nose and mouth during the pollen attack was...this girl? "Wait, do I know you? How do you know my name?" Or at least, how did she know that really irritating nickname that Eve always called him by?

Lucy reminded her of one of the first civilians she had saved a long time ago. Both were stubborn, preferring to stand their ground instead of running away like a normal person would, and both did not listen when she had given them a warning. Flora winced as he started sneezing, remembering that he was allergic to pollen. It definitely seemed like it was her lucky day, she reflected with a grimace. When this was over, she was going to lecture him about how civilians should act in the face of danger, never mind the fact that he did not recognize her.
"I'm fine!" She snapped, trying to figure a way to wrestle the monster's head off it. Maybe there was something nearby which she could use as a makeshift weapon? "Just go! You don't need to call the police!" By the time they showed up, she would have probably have already defeated the youma, and they would certainly turn their attention, and their guns, to the delinquent terrorist. That was not a scene Flora was intending to encounter.
"Uh, the blond girl said something! About meeting a friend here. Named Mr Boring Lucy or something!" Flora shot back a quick excuse; it was plausible, right? Lucy wouldn't put it past her to introduce himself that way, and hopefully, this explanation would alleviate his worries. "Just run! Please!"
However, Lucy would have noticed something behind her, while she was being distracted with attempting to shoo him away. The youma had decided to take advantage of this very moment to run right at her, head aiming to butt the girl into a nearby tree.

Mr. Boring Lucy. Yes, that...that certainly sounded like Eve. Seriously, I wish she wouldn't call me that in public. He thought, rubbing his temple. Unfortunately, there was no time to dwell on the fact that his friend refused to call him by his real name. There was that monster right there, and that girl was still telling him to leave. Now that he knew Eve was safe, there was probably no reason to stick around.
Or so he thought, until he saw the creature turn his attention to the girl while she was distracted. It didn't take a genius to see that it intended to attack, and Lucien immediately tensed. "H-hey, look out!" He knew that he had to do something, but he was just a normal guy, and he didn't have any weapons, and...and...
She won't make it out of the way in time! I need to do something.
A strange, warm sensation spread through Lucien, and the air in front of him suddenly burst into a ball of light. He wasn't sure how long it lasted, but when it was gone, a teal book hovered in his place. The blond man didn't even hesitate--he grabbed the book, and the moment he did so, he felt himself change.
Questions were running through his mind, but he immediately pushed these thoughts aside and sprinted towards the girl and the monster. He wasn't sure what had happened, but he suddenly felt stronger. Lighter. Suddenly, fighting the thing in front of him didn't seem so impossible.
The moment he was close enough, Lucien--or Lemuria, rather--leaped up and aimed a hard kick to the creature's chest.

"Look out?" Flora repeated, wondering exactly why he was so persistent and wouldn't just run the hell away. Did no one get the memo that Senshi and Negaverse were dangerous? Wasn't it obvious that the Senshi were usually fending off these monsters? Eve had stopped watching the news regarding these matters because the reporters would always get some details wrong (whether unintentionally or on purpose, she could never tell). It was then when his words properly registered in her mind, but at that very moment when she had realized her folly, a strange thing happened before her eyes.
There was a book. Not very surprising, considering what a bookworm Lucy was, really, but it was floating and Lucy had taken hold of it and...
"Ahhhhhhhhh!" Flora screamed and then clapped her hands over her mouth. It wouldn't do to have any more civilians running to the scene, although she was starting to doubt that Lucy was really a civilian. But he wasn't a Senshi, he wasn't of the Negaverse... was he one of those Knights she had heard about? But why? Why Lucy? He wasn't the fighting type... ironic really, seeing how he had just kicked the youma backward.
"Why?" She asked herself, gritting her teeth. Lucy was normal. She had no intention of pulling him into the crazy night life she had to experience, only to tell him the truth. Why did he have to get caught up in all this? And his weapon was a book. A. Book.
Demanding explanations would come later. It was time to be professional and take the youma down. "You're new at this." Flora said crisply, moving to stand besides Knight Boring (that would be his name for now), to stare at the fallen youma. "Obviously. Thank you, anyway. I know it isn't easy to get used to all of this," she gestured to her outfit and his own, "but our priority now is to defeat that before it tries to kill some innocent passerby."
"As you've witnessed, the youma over there just needs to be taken apart. I think we need to rip off its head. Do you have any other powers? Please, for Chronos' sake, don't tell me that book is the only thing you have." Unless the book could grow, she didn't think whacking the youma with a tome would do it any good. Lucy would probably cry foul against destroying a book anyway.
As she was talking, the youma managed to get up and started lumbering in their direction again. Flora grimaced, and shot her hands out in its direction, "Flora Pollen Storm!" At least Lucy wouldn't be affected by the pollen now, unless he was silly enough to venture into the concentrated pollen cloud she was directing at the youma. "So, do you have any idea how we can yank the youma's head off its shoulders?"

Lemuria couldn't help but gape as the giant creature actually staggered backwards at his kick. For one thing, considering how slender he was, he didn't think he had very much physical strength--certainly not enough to move a monster that big. Obviously this little transformation had done much more than simply shoving him into an...extremely teal outfit.
There was a moment of pause, and then he grinned sheepishly and scratched the back of his head with a gloved hand. "Awesome."
Jerking back to attention, he glanced at the blond girl and immediately furrowed his brows at her question. Other powers? While she was busy distracting the monster, Lemuria turned the book over his hands, examining it for any clues. There were silver etching on the cover, but nothing he could read, and on the inside...
It was blank.
"Something about this book feels important, but I don't think I can use it yet. I'll have to rely on physical attacks, I guess." The fact that he was saying all this felt...very, very strange. Was he frightened? Honestly, yes, but he felt a lot more confident in himself than a few minutes ago. He could help her take this thing down--he knew that he could.
Looking back at the girl, he jerked his head in this direction of their target, "I don't think I'd fare well in one of those pollen clouds of yours, but if there's another way to distract it, I can, uh, try ripping off it's head."

"I don't know; I've never met a Knight before. You are a Knight, right? You're not a Senshi, you don't feel corrupted either, so unless another category of superheroes decided to pop up in Destiny City, I think my guess is pretty much spot on." Flora spoke as quickly as she could, most of her concentration still on the youma. If she faltered, the pollen cloud could disperse, and they didn't have much time before it faded completely. The youma was still struggling, choking with the concentration of the pollen.
"You could use the book to hit it? I mean, if the book is special, and all..." The Senshi of Spring trailed off as the glow on her brooch started to fade and frowned. Time was running out. They needed a plan, and quickly. "Well, it's poisonous too anyway, so I wouldn't suggest running right into it, allergic or not." Thankfully, she seemed immune to her own attack, not that she had ever tried shoving it in her own face.
"After this ends, I'll tackle it, I guess. And then you can deal with its head. Okay?" The glow and the cloud had faded and she ran right at the still coughing youma. "Go!"

"I have no idea what you're saying," he informed her bluntly, giving up on his attempt to wrap his head around Knights and Senshi and whatever else she was talking about, "Besides, I'm sure we can discuss that during a uh, more appropriate time?"
He shot her an "are you really serious" look when she suggested whacking it with his book, and he instinctively clutched the tome tighter to his chest. That was not how you treated a book! They were for reading, not for bashing things over the head like a barbarian!
Lemuria did, however, agree to her other plan. "Got it." He confirmed, waiting for the cue. Upon hearing it, he made a run towards the monster, using the girl's attack as a distraction and swiftly bounding up along it's back until he reached the back of it's neck. It's here that he hesitated--was he seriously supposed tear off it's head? He didn't have much doubt that, with these newfound powers, he would be able to do so, but...
Setting his mouth into a grimace, the blond dug his fingers into the creature's neck, twisted, and pulled as hard as he could.

It was pretty hard to wrap his head around the information she was giving him. She remembered when Charys, Rea (and Astraea) tried to clue her in on the whole deal, she had been pretty lost. But at least she knew what she was right? She knew she was Flora, Senshi of Spring. And he had to know whatever he was right now. Then again, she hadn't asked for names.
How predictable, Flora thought, catching the look he gave her in response to her suggestion of using the book as a weapon. Lucy was really cut out to be one of those librarians, she thought. He was supposed to fight. He had a book in his hand that had transformed him. Do. The. Math. Hell, if she had something when she transformed, albeit those petals, she would use it as a weapon, without a second thought.
It was more difficult than he thought it would be, although his newly found strength would help him. Flora reached the youma, grabbed its legs, and yanked into the other direction. The head came off with a pop and both the body and head exploded into youma dust, showering both the Senshi and Page.
"I hate this part." Flora declared, standing up and dusting off her outfit. "But on the bright side, hey, we did it! I'm Sailor Flora, Senshi of Spring, by the way. And you are?" First rule of the business, never call someone by their civilian name when they were powered up.

Oh, uh, dust. Well, he supposed that that was more pleasant than the extremely graphic scene he had imagined, but he wasn't pleased when he started to sneeze. "Damn these stupi--ACHOO!" Ugh, was this going to happen every time he fought one of these things?
...Wait, was there going to be another time? Why did he have this power? Was he expected to fight these monsters every night now? Why did he have so many questions?
Fortunately, he expected that the girl before him would be able to answer a few of them. And--ah, yes, at least he knew her name now. "Flora, hmm? I'm the Lemuria Knight of Neptune--wait what." The strange introduction spilled from his mouth before he even had a chance to think about it. Crossing his arms, the blond man frowned in confusion, "Lemuria? ...Well, I guess you could call me Lemuria."
"So...mind explaining some things?" He asked, gesturing towards where the monster once stood. Really, was he expected to fight these things on a daily basis now?

"Lemuria." Flora repeated, and it took a considerable amount of effort to quash the voice inside her commenting that it sounded like lemons. Boring lemons would be a good nickname. Eve's voice chimed in her head, but Flora did not say that. "Of Neptune. I... see." So Lucy was technically from outer space too? Her past memories and knowledge that came with that were sealed off by her past self, she had assumed, which she thought was an a**, despite it technically being... her, of sorts. So Flora could only shrug and file that bit of information away to report to her Princess and Pegasus. Chronos and Helios would probably know more, right?
"We call them youma." She told him, starting to walk away and gesturing at him to follow. Another rule of the business, flee the crime scene. Lucy might not have called the police, but who knew if someone else had seen the youma heading in this direction? "They're sent out by the Negaverse, the bad guys, to gather starseeds. That's something they can pull out of people's chests, even us. It's like, the heart of the soul, I think. It's our job to defeat them. And Negaverse agents. They've killed before, you know?" She paused. Then again, she knew Senshi that had killed too. It made her shudder to think that they were on her side, but no, Flora thought firmly. She was on her own side. On Princess Chronos's side.
"We'll have to henshin down." She said grimly. "It's not good to be walking in full view like this because a civilian could have seen the monster and called the police. And you don't want them getting here and pointing their guns at you." Flora took a deep breath, closed her eyes...
And the next thing Lemuria knew, he was staring right at Eve Summers. "Just think of yourself as Mr Boring Lucy, and you'll turn right back." She told him, an awkward smile playing on her lips.
Hi Lucy, this is what I have been doing. I'm a Sailor Senshi. I defeat monsters. She hadn't known what he would react to the speech she had prepared in the case of the youma not showing up. Now? It was pretty much an easier confession but not how she thought it would have went.
