About The Race:
The Banshees are a fairly special race of Faekats, in that they freely move between the world of the living and the world of spirits. A Banshee can phase in and out of visibility, and through being part-spirit, they have contact with otherworldly forces. Banshees are a race of prophets and seers. The future is an open book to them.
Or, it was once. Long ago, the Banshees were known as the Fáidh, and were famous throughout Faetasia for their accurate and clear prophecies. A foolish queen made the mistake of challenging Moira, the Goddess of Prophecy, saying that as the leader of a race of spiritual seers, she was an equal to the goddess. This moment of hubris on the part of the queen was doom for the entire race. Moira could not take away their ability to see into the future, but she could twist it. Banshees are now cursed to only see tragedy, and as such, they took on a new name. Soon, they were no longer known as legendary prophets. Instead, they were shunned as omens of doom, because the appearance of a Banshee could only mean that some great tragedy was soon to strike.
The race split in two, with some remaining loyal to their queen and the rest breaking away out of rage at her foolish mistake. Those who remained loyal became known as the Dílis, lead by the Queen's older daughter, Caitriona; those who broke away became known as the Cneámhaire, led by her younger daughter, Ciara. The Queen herself vanished, and some claim that she simply faded away out of grief. Others say she is in hiding, so deeply ashamed of what she had done that she no longer wishes to show her face.
Banshees, being half-spectral, have no legs or feet, and do not walk. Instead, they hover about a foot in the air and float along. Besides being seers, they are a very musical race, and Banshees have hauntingly beautiful voices. They are fully capable of being entirely solid in order to hold things, touch others, breed, et cetera.
Racial Rules
1. Banshees are mostly Good or Neutral. They mean well, they just...happen to only see bad things.
2. There are Ebil Banshees, but they are very rare.
3. Banshees' loyalties are not limited by their alignment. There are Ebil Dílis and Good Cneámhaire. It really boils down to whether or not they blame the queen for what happened to their race.
4. Good Banshees generally do not fling. They expect that it would be hard to find someone who accepts a prophetess-ghost-thing who most consider to be an omen of death, and thus would hold fast to anyone who does and would tend to be heartbroken if abandoned. So mating is muuch preferred.
BANSHEES AND ELITE RACES:
Banshees CAN BE Holykats, Angelics, Dark Angelics, Faerys, Dark Faerys and Demons.
Banshees CANNOT BE Vampires, Zombies, or Unholykats. This is because they are already ghosts, and cannot be double-undead. Sorry guys!

No whining if I don't pick your custom. If you break this rule, I swear to you, I will NEVER do a custom Banshee for you. Ever. 9.
