With Prom looming over their heads, it seemed the whole of Amityville Academy was abuzz with excitement. From finding a date to picking out dresses, it was all most people could think about. Which surprisingly held true for a certain little ghoul, who was going to experience the second dance in her entire life. There was one thing that she worried about quite a bit, and while it was still a part of prom it was also something that some people may have forgot to worry about.
Dancing.
Oh, Amrita did not forget the terrible dancing she had graced Charlie with at the last dance he had taken her too. She felt terrible about it, and ever since it had been on her 'to do' list to learn for the next time. Sadly, it never came around, and more important things always managed to take it's place. But this time, this dance? She was going to learn. She ahd to learn! She didn't want to embarrass Charlie again.
If...If Charlie could get embarrassed, anyway. So that brought her to a local shop that was offering dance lessons, the little Vetala staring up at the big, loud 'OPEN FOR NEW STUDENTS' sign. It was a place where she could learn to dance. It was so close!
...So why shouldn't she get through the door?!
Aaaaaaaaa the pressure~

The pressure of Prom was certainly getting to the lupine. While she was excited that she would be going to her first dance ever, she wasn't sure what she would do. She as of yet had nothing to wear, knew nothing about dealing with large crowds without panicking, and most of all didn't know how to dance. Not that Shun wanted to dance...at least he said as much.
It was a little disappointing though, Mitsu thought. She liked to watch people dance and often wished she could join them but she was far from graceful. More often than not the werewolf found herself face first on the ground and that was just trying to walk.
As if to prove this point rather nicely Mitsu obviously wasn't watching where she was going. So caught up in her own thoughts and worries she failed to notice and being in her path. That was until she collided with said person sending her to the ground in a tangled mess of limbs.

The same thought that lingered in the minds of the other students had also found a nook to settle in within Xiu's thoughts. The fact that she didn't have a date didn't stop her from wanting to attend the prom. On the contrary, the Baku believed that she could have just as much fun even if she was dateless. There was only one problem. It didn't matter if it was one of those slow romantic songs or the kind that you rocked out to--Xiu had no idea how to dance.
With the date of the prom approaching quickly, she was suddenly made aware of the fact that she still had so much to do. She needed to get a dress, and most importantly, she decided that she needed dancing lessons. The last thing she wanted was to be flailing like an octopus in the middle of the dance floor. It was very fortunate that such lessons were being provided by a local store, just in time for the big day.
As she made her way towards said store, she noticed a familiar figure standing in front of the door. At once, she broke out in a nervous sweat, taking in the backwards limbs and half-skull face. That's...Amrita, right? Was she here to take classes as well?
Before Xiu had a chance to call out to the smaller ghoul she witnessed someone else collide right into Amrita from the other side. As the two tumbled to the ground, she let out a panicked squeak, rushing forward towards them. "H-hey! A-are you two alright?! A-amrita? U-uh...miss?"

Amrita's troubles were pushed aside...literally. It seemed there was a more pressing issue at hand, namely the appearance - and subsequent weight of - a canine creature in a mask. The Vetala couldn't actually process what had happened until she was already on the ground, wide-eyed and confused. That meant, of course, that her squeak of surprise came a little late, well after the perspective-changing event was already over.
"EKK!" She gasped out, finally trying to collect her limbs and trying to not hit the other scareling at the same time. "I-I'M S-SORRY I DIDN'T SEE YOU!" The child cried out next, much louder than she intended. Being frightened made her lose what little grasp she had on things like volume control. Nevermind that the incident was not her fault at all! Well, unless you counted being in the way as a fault, which she apparently did.
"...Y-Yes, yes I..I'm fine!" A thankful look was cast towards Xiu, the ghoul she very vaguely remembered as pulling the sword from the stone in one shot. Limbs were collected and bodies seperated, but Amrita did not get up off the floor. She just sat there, rubbing her arm on reflex rather than need. "Um...A-Are you okay...?" She said quietly to the canine.

The resounding 'ekk' that Amrita made was quickly echoed with a squeak from Mitsu as well. As they fought to separate themselves Mitsu was muttering her own apologies in a panicked fashion, the small lupine struggling to move out of the way and only managing to step on her own tail in the process.
"I-I-I-I'm s-so sorry!" She stuttered out. "I-I wasn't watching where I was going!" Once they were finally separated Mitsu sat on her hands and knees trying to collect herself mentally. It seemed that during their excursion her mask had managed to come to a lopsided position on her face. She hadn't noticed right away but as soon as she did she was quick to fix it to hide her face once again.
When another voice spoke up, Mitsu was quick to turn in that direction, her eyes settling on the approaching baku. "I..I'm okay. I'm so s-sorry I ran into you. I really am." Mitsu continued to apologize to the Vetala.

Aah, what a collision that had been! Frowning, Xiu leaned over the two, her gaze sweeping over them in concern. "I-if you two are sure you're alright..." She held out her hands, one to each of the girls, in case they needed help getting up. "Um, please be more careful! You don't want to get hurt right before prom either."
Right, prom. The reason--or at least, part of the reason--she had come here today. She glanced at the window front of the store, her attention immediately drawn towards the large sign advertising the dance lessons she had come here for. She then looked back to Amrita and tilted her head. Why was she standing in front of the store like that?
"Were you here for the lessons too, Amrita?" She jerked her head towards the sign, and then abruptly turned to the masked ghoul. "Oh! And, um...I'm Xiu! Xiu-Ying. You're...a student from Amityville as well, right?" Xiu was certain that she had seen her around in the hallways at some point.

"N-no it's...It's okay I promise!" Amrita's arms were out in front of her again, waving in frantic jazz hands. "I-It's okay!" The frantic attempt to put the mask back on was noted with curiousity, but she didn't think it was the time to ask about it. When Xiu piped up again, Amrita gasped and looked down at the floor, which was shockingly close as she had not gotten up from kneeling on the floor.
"U-uhm...y-yes...just...um. I don't know how..." Well, she didn't know how to do it PROPERLY. "S-so I thought I would...um. Try." Index fingers poited together, and she sheepishly looked from Xiu to the strange canine. "W-wait, too? So...you're both here to learn to dance...?" Sure it was only Xiu that said it, but it must have applied to both, right?!
"Oh! I'm Amrita. Um...just...Amrita." Xiu had introduced herself, so it was only right! Managing a small smile at the pair of ghouls, she moved to gesture towards the dance lessons. "S-shall we...?"

After the bit of panic had passed Mitsu sat on the ground a little longer relieved the ghoul wasn't upset. Mitsu could barely believe how clumsy she had been to actually run into someone and knock them both down.
As the Vetala stood Mitsu got shakily to her feet as well. Oh, they were introducing themselves! "I..I'm Mitsu Lupus. I..I'm new at school." Would it be awkward to say it was nice to meet them even after she had crashed into one of them? Maybe to hold off on that until a bit later.
Though, at the mention of dancing, Mitsu turned her attention to the store front. There as plain as Halloween was a sign posted advertising dancing lessons....fate had a strange way of dropping things in her lap. Often times it was more along the lines of a cruel joke but this time it was possibly something useful.
"I..I hadn't reallly come...umm." Mitsu seemed to stumble over her words as she glanced at the two. But, this was an opportunity to improve on something she wasn't good at, yes? Though, she had to wonder what the point would be. Shun had made it clear he didn't dance. Maybe it would still be fun to learn though. Mitsu did always enjoy watching others dance so it would no doubt be more fun to actually dance.
So when the offer was extended to go inside, Mitsu turned toward the door. Why not, it was worth a try.....but she would wait for someone else to enter before her.

"Um, it's nice to see you again!" She chirped, nodding her head at Amrita. Then, to Mitsu, she offered a small smile and a shy wave, "I'm pleased to meet you, Mitsu! ...Oh, and I'm new too!" The Baku visibly lit up upon learning that the other ghoul was new. "How are you getting along at school?" Her own first few days at Amityville had passed surprisingly pleasantly, especially considering that she had someone showing her around and introducing her to some of the other students.
Xiu seemed especially happy when she learned that both of the other ghouls were here for the same reason that she was. Taking dance lessons wouldn't be so awkward now that she had two peers (both of whom seemed very sweet) accompanying her. Though the only problem was...
"Y-yes! Let's go inside and sign up." Xiu gestured towards the door and continued to smile, but she made no move to go inside. She was clearly waiting for someone else to take the lead, but when no one stepped up, she took a deep breath, pulled the door open and...
Just stood there holding it.
"A-after you?" The Baku bobbed her head politely, looking back and forth between Amrita and Mitsu.
