Rakshi felt somewhat...enlightened and nervous. They'd traveled together for a few months, it wasn't like it was out of the blue or a one night stand. Briallan was so very special to him, and he'd blurted out his love for her finally. One thing led to another and well the pair had mated. He was so very worried with their size difference, but the doe had put those doubts to rest soon enough. It was awkward, and a few nervous laughs came from them both that night, learning what was to be done. He had wondered exactly why it was that she smelled even more enticing at that time than she had before, something about her simply gleamed that stormy night. That was right it had been a may storm, a rather violent one that had them holed up in the cave they were in for so long. So much had happened that night and he was still glowing from it.
He shook himself from his thoughts and gathered up several items to bring her a healthy, energizing breakfast. He wanted her to be well fed before the continued on, and he was hoping to talk her into meeting his parents, his sisters, and his grandparents. They'd be delighted to meet her, and likely fascinated at her size and beauty, and the fact that she was the sweetest mare alive would be so helpful. He was bashful, but he wanted to ask her to be his lifemate, to be his sun, his moon, and stars. She shone more brightly than any heavenly body he'd known, and he prayed to whatever spirit could hear him that his question would receive a yes.
Taking back the apples and a couple ears of corn, he looked into their campsite and smiled, "Briallan, I've brought you some breakfast, I hope that it's something you'll enjoy." He smiled as he set it down, he really was an idiot romantic like his sisters had always said.

His returning hoof falls stirred her back to consciousness. She'd slept well after everything and the storm the long trek in the storm had been enough to cause her to sleep well. Smiling, she looked up at him then to the meal he'd brought back. she'd seen the two-leggers eating the yellow stuff from a distance though she'd never actually tried it. "What is it??" She nudged it lightly with her nose sniffing it as she did so. It wasn't that she was going to turn it down she just wanted to know what it was. Waiting for his reply, she picked up and apple and nibbled at it, eating around the core like her mother had taught her so as not to cause bloat from the toxins in the seeds.

There was a little bit of a chuckle from him as she asked what the corn was, "It's corn, least that's what the two leggers called it. And you nibble off the the yellow bits but leave the center part because it's rather gross, but the outer bit is pretty good." He took one of the corn cobs and started to munch away at it, neatly eating the rows as he went.
"It's not bad, just an interesting sort of sweet taste to experience." There was a nervous laugh from him, but he quieted it quickly, "There I go babbling again" He took a deep breath and finished off his corn, before picking up an apple to munch on, he watched for a few moments, thinking whether or not he should ask now, or leave it for later on, would she be surprised, or would she just ignore him? Well, only one way to really find out.
"Briallan, I was a bit curious about something, do you mind my asking you a question?" Always better to ask and make sure the other party was in the mood before possibly putting his hoof in his mouth.

She nibbled on a corn ear like she had seen him do only to raise her head and looked up as he asked her his question. " Sure.. What is it?" She finished off the ear of corn before standing up and shaking the dust from her coat. She still had bits of dry mud in her leg fur but it didn't bother her. Roselyn however would have.. had she not sent her home to keep her mother from worrying. She knew the little bunny would be a better help at home than here on the trip making things awkward.

Rakshi stood as well and took a deep breath, now or never.... His large gold eyes looked at her, he really couldn't see anyone else as the girl for him, "Would you do me the honor of being my lifemate?" Sure it was soon, he was head over hooves for her, and if she didn't see it yet, he'd just have to spend the rest of his days proving it to her. He looked so nervous, but there was a look of pure adoration amidst his somewhat shy demeanor at the moment.

She had a moment of silence. Was he asking what she thought?? So soon? Sure she admitted she'd been twitterpated over him and such but she hadn't figured he felt the same.. at least not that much. " I.. I don't know what to say... Yes of course..." Her heart was in her throat as she choked the last bit out face flushing about three shades of deep pink before she finally buried her face into his caplet. Roselyn would be a bit bummed to have missed this part of the trip.

Albert made his way through the field, his tail swaying gently behind him, and his cape fluttering lightly in the breeze. The tall grass swept his underbelly as he walked. It tickled slightly, and he took a few moments to bend his knees and take a good roll in the grass, much like a young colt would do instead of an adult stallion. But, one had to think young and not worry overmuch about what life could throw at you, or it would age you too quickly. Much like his current concern. Damia had taken off in the night a week ago, and none had seen her. But, it was more then time that she learned her lessons about life. In which she had much to learn. But he wasn't going to think about that now.
Kicking his hooves to the side as he flattened the grass below him, he wriggled back and fourth on his splayed cloak, enjoying himself immensely before rising to his feet. Yeah, that felt good. And to top if off, he shook from the tip of his nose all the way to his back hocks, making himself feel quite alive. Yes, this was life. A chuckle from the grass grew his attention over his shoulder.
Meru smiled as she watched Albert flatten the grass. He liked to act proud and knowledgeable, but at heart he could still be such a big colt. She made her way to him, her grin nearly splitting her face in two. It was good to see him act carefree, even for a moment. She knew he was worried. Heavens, she was worried too about Damia. And she was always curious about what her foals were up to, grown as they were. There are some things you just can't help feeling. Padding through the grass, which brushed her shoulder, she shook her head in mock sternness as she began to pull long grass stems from his cloak.

He took a moment, had she said yes? Her face buried against his caplet, he smiled so broadly he thought his jaw would unhinge and fall off. She was accepting him as her only significant other, he was ecstatic. He nuzzled into her mane happily, "I have to take you to meet my family, they'll be so happy to meet you, and..." He lapsed into silence, simply glowing with happiness from her answer, "I think you'll like my family, and then we can travel back to your herd so I can meet yours." Oh the plans that were forming in his head, working out logistics in his mind, they weren't too far from his grandparents, and his sisters, and...
Good lords he was excited, "Briallan, I love you, so very dearly." He nuzzled into her mane, blushing every bit as much as she was.

She reached up and nuzzled his neck lightly. " I love you too Rakshi." She smiled and took a step back to look at him more clearly. "I'd love to meet your family." She couldn't help but to beam at him as she rushed to the cave's entrance. "Which way are they?" Her tail gave a slight waggle much like it did when she was excited about something. Looking over her shoulder she waited for him to join her before they could set off. "My mother.. She'll like to meet you I'm sure you'll like her too."

Rakshi walked after her, joining her outside, his head nodded towards a tall area of grass, "a few hours travel actually. Not too much farther." He smiled and began to lead the way towards where he remembered his grandparents living, figuring his sisters would be somewhere in the area, unless of course they'd wandered off with their own mates, not that either of them had sent word to him about such things.
He couldn't help worrying a little about his sisters, but then, they were adults and could take care of themselves for the most part, He looked back making sure to clear more than enough room for Briallan to follow him. Wouldn't they all be surprised at the glorious doe that he brought home with him? He only hoped his father and his grandfather weren't terrible flirts, then he'd have to put a very large stop to that. Rakshi realized that he seemed to be somewhat the jealous type, Oh this is going to be fun to put a lid on.

Briallan followed gleefully as she hopped and bounced over the grass as she went. "What are they like?? Are they all as tall as you?" She wondered about what they were like. After all they'd be her family too in a sense now.
Merashik strolled through the grass spotting a familiar sight ahead of herself and her daughter. Smiling, she nickered a greeting to her father and her mother. "Any luck??? She hasn't made her way back yet has she?" She asked as she drew closer before greeting her parents affectionately. She'd been looking for her but had had no luck so far.
Tian trotted ahead of her mother as she saw her grandparents. She was singling in on her grandfather with a happy giggle. As she got close, she stopped and with an elegance, she greeted both her grandparents. " Hello." She smiled happily and nuzzled her grandmother.

Albert looked over as Mera approached, and wickered a greeting as well. No luck. But you know your sister. She'll come back when she's good and ready after trying to conquer the world. We'll find her. I'm sure of it. He reached over and gently tugged on her scarf, his show of affection for his oldest. Then he smiled at Tian. Hello little one.
Meru smiled at the elegant manner Tian addressed them with, and gave her an enthusiastic nuzzle in return. Hi Tian. You're getting better at that. She giggled at the young mare, and snorted in mirth. Look how big you've gotten. It seems not that long ago you were this big. She held up a hoof at knee level to show off what she meant.

He looked back and laughed, "My mother's side is tall, and my sisters and I got the tallness from her, my father, on the other hand is quite short. Least, he's shorter than my mother by a good bit from what I remember of him." He chuckled a little as he heard nickers, and other noises in the distance, "Good grief, it seems as though most of my family is already here."
Looking forward he trudged on closer and closer to the voices he knew so well, "Just don't be surprised if you get told you're adorable and endearing, I can't remember, but I think one of my sisters tends to adore cute small animals." He shook his head a bit at the thought and walked forward, fully expecting to run into his family very shortly.

"Oh.." She couldn't help but to snicker some as she heard the voices ahead. She had to trot in order to be by his side as she eagerly looked ahead to see what they looked like. " They sure are a lively bunch.." She snickered some, her tail flicking yet again.
Mera Chuckled lightly. "Yes.. I know her.. she'll go through hell and back to prove she's better than me.. why I have no clue..." She gave a small smile and greeted her mother happily. "Have you two been well otherwise?"
Tian chuckled lightly. " Yes.. Well don't we usually grow fast?" She smiled and left her grandmother's side to give her grandfather a headbutt as a greeting.
