The warm summer was also something he despised. But that list could honestly go on for miles and miles. Uhra's middle son, the one that looked different from both his parents, wondered outside quietly. Usually Quetzalcoatl preferred to stay in the shadows of the forest. He preferred to hide out and stay away from anyone that wasn't his family.
But for some reason, today, Quetzalcoatl was wondering the forests, his long black hair fallen over one of his eyes, his golden eyes staring at the ground. He moved quietly, before leaning down and sniffed at the grass near him, shaking his head, before he continued his quiet walking, his body standing out against the brightness of the green ground. His black and red clashed so horribly that any person would be able to see him from miles off.
But in all honesty, the mostly black male could care less. Qutezalcoatl didn't mind if one person found him or tried anything. He was uncaring, of mostly everything. So, with a small grunt, he leaned, his head dipping down, and nibbled somewhat at the grass near his hooves, eyes narrowing a bit at it, trying to keep distracted while his mother was helping with herd issues.

Kayleena sighed. Once again her carefree nature had landed her in a little bit of a sticky situation. In this case she'd investigated too close to an abandoned beehive and ended up smashing into the object. Honey dripped down her face and she knew it was only a matter of time before other insects came to investigate and she had no patience when it came to insects.
Trying very hard not to shake her mane the pink usdia meandered through the forest she found herself in. The search for a water source so that she could attempt to rinse the honey off wasn't faring too well. Glancing into the distance Kayleena spotted a black object standing almost still before it moved. The little mare stopped up short at this sight. What now?

Quetzalcoatl shook out his black mane, grunting again. His nostrils flared a small bit, glaring at the grass. It wasn't like the grass back on the plains of his home. This grass was not as good tasting. He sighed, huffing, before holding his head up and blinked, looking around. This really was boring. Being out here. There was nothing going on. So the world really was a boring place. His eyes flickered, the golden orbs locking on something in the distance, before flickering again, and landed on on something else.
Something pink.
Flicking his ears, Quetzalcoatl stared toward the pink thing, his eyes filled with curiosity. He'd never seen something so pink before. But something did in fact seem off about it. Staring more intently, Quetzalcoatl found out what. It seemed that the female had honey stuck to her face. Sighing, he pinned his ears back, before turning his attention, and started to slowly walk toward her, his hoof fall slow and dragged. He blew out out some air from his nostrils, and let it push the hair from his eyes for a second, and before falling right back where it was. "You have honey on your face... He sighed, shaking his head some. "Come on, then." he turned, starting to walk another way, looking at the ground as he did so.

Kayleena watched silently as the black thing approached her. It was another Soquili and another usdia like herself. Her ears pricked forward at it's advance and its words before she stamped a hoof on the ground. So much for introductions. Just because she might be in a little bit of a predicament and not looking her best was no reason to be rude.
"Hey," she called out. "I do not need to be informed that I have honey on my face. I could have told you that."
With that said Kayleena fell silent before realizing that the stallion wasn't listening and instead walking away from her. Just where was he thinking of leading her? Cautiously she took a few steps to follow the stallion. "Where are you going?"

Quetzalcoatl blinked, an ear flicking toward the female that seemed to be talking to him, but he just continued to walk, his hoof fall slow still. He blinked some, before letting out a small snort. He didn't know why he was helping the female. Didn't know why he even cared. But for some reason, he was going to. Maybe it was his mother in him. Because he normally wouldn't even step near another horse to save his life.
"Do you want help or not? Why all the questions... Jeeze." he sighed, shaking out his mane some, before turning around a small bend of trees, and into the woods. "There's a creek up here... It's not too deep, so you could probably get all that gunk off your face." He stated, before walking under a bush somewhat, even though he could have just as easily walked around it.

"Oh. Thank you."
Kayleena scraped at the ground with her front hoof before following the stallion quietly. If he was going to show her to a source of water than perhaps she should be grateful. Shuffling quietly into place behind the stallion she snorted softly before gazing at the ground. It was her own mess that she'd managed to get honey on her face and now someone was being sort of kind enough to help her out of this situation she found herself in.
The silence smothered Kayleena and suddenly she had to break it. "I usually don't wander into bees' nests all the time. It's just today I wasn't looking where I was going and I stumbled and found the nest the hard way. Lucky for me that it was empty."
Explaining her predicament seemed to keep the silence at bay and Kayleena sighed before refraining from nudging the stallion to get his attention. "So what's your name?"

Quetzalcoatl blinked, his ear flicking, listening to her talk quietly, almost uninterested. The stallion really didn't care or mind much. it was his nature not to. He sighed, bangs falling into his eyes, before he looked back over his shoulder, and then forward toward the trees before him. He shifted along the area, moving from one place to another, before he moved quietly through a small bit of brush and toward a small creek. His eyes flickered over the water, before he looked over toward her.
"Quetzalcoatl... My family calls me Quetz. Here."
He moved quietly forward once more, his black hair falling along his shoulder some, as he leaned down and lapped at some of the water just because. His ears flickered some, before Quetzalcoatl lifted his head and looked over, staring toward her with somewhat curious eyes, before that died in him, and turned to just a blank stare.
"And you?"

"Quet-zal-coat-l."
As honey dripped down her face Kayleena sounded out the name. Realizing they had arrived at the promised source of water the mare the pink usdia moved towards the creek. She eyed the strange stallion before her. Without much further thought she entered the creek and started to dunk her face repeatedly in the cold water.
It was only then that she realized that Quetz had inquired to what her name was. Realizing that she owed the stallion an answer she stopped her actions before staring at Quetz with water cascading down her mane. She shook the water off much like a dog would before speaking softly.
"I'm Kayleena. I guess I owe you a thank you for assisting me."

The stallion frowned some, watching her. It was very unlady like to do such a thing. But it wasn't his place to say so. His ears flicking, the stallion turned his head away and stared quietly toward some trees, his mind getting absorbed in other thoughts. Quetzalcoatl wasn't sure what or why he was doing these things, and it bothered him. But the way things were working out, he couldn't exactly stop himself. His mother had taught him to help any living creature out there, and despite his want to literally ignore them all, he could not stop himself from helping.
Realizing she had spoke, Quetzalcoatl turned his attention toward her. His ears flicking, the black hair fell once more along his shoulders, before he nodded his head, putting the name into his memory bank. So now he knew one horse outside of his family line. This was... interesting. Snorting some, he turned, and started to walk back toward the meadow he had been in before she had stumbled upon him with honey as a face.
"Nice to meet you." Quetzalcoatl said while walking.
