I know the hype right now is all around Undermountain, but while talking to [ JK ] at the chat earlier, he let mention that the only enemy concept finalised for BB was the Pirate Fluff. Never one to overlook an opportunity, I took that to mean Boardwalk enemies might be a good avenue for new suggestions. 3nodding
So, what pirate-themed possibilities can we come up with? I've been tossing ideas around all evening, and the only one I've come up with that seems even vaguely reasonable is this one (or this - and I just realised those images came out huge). I reckon we surely have a few folks around here a little more attuned to piratical ways than myself - what other suggestions do we have?
EDIT: I'll revive this after Undermountain's out, as well, since I suspect that some of the interest for this will be sapped until then... sweatdrop

This reminds me: gataka Who thinks we'll see the Animated seen in the top right image of this by Ethe ? I call 'em Octowheel, Ducktube, and Crococannon. Yar. Anyway, that's one crazy hook °3°

What about, a ball and cup animated? I'm pretty sure you all played this game before. Just think of how dreamy it would be for a NPC who works for the Bucanner Boardwalk to have the game automate itself? He could win loads of gold off the gaians playing the game, without him/her having to lift a finger! BB is still is an amusement park, and we'll need mini-games there, won't we?

I'll mention another I had in-the-works, that I couldn't manage a decent picture of, yet; it's an OMG-style Animated pirate hat (I've personally been calling him OMR, pronounced Oh-Em-Arrrrrrrh! - or I suppose we could say it stands for 'Oh My Rum!' whee ). It's got the skull-and-crossbones on the side in much the same place that an OMG's skull design is, and has the same style of legs. Again, I'll try to make an image for it, to get the point across a little better.
Another pirate-themed (though not really Boardwalk-applicable) enemy that occured to me was an Animated figurehead of a sunken ship. The way I've pictured her thus far she's got wings made of ship's sails (six of them, as I've been calling her the Sunken Seraph xp ) and a ship's wheel behind her head as a 'halo'. In one version, she also had a cannon where her left arm would be. sweatdrop Might work as a treasure-hunting quest mini-boss, or something, I suppose...

Pirates... Pirates equal booty... Booty equals treasure chests... It's time. For the sake of creativity, it'd be nice if it didn't just get a tongue and chased you trying to bite. Make it something terrifying and surprising! How about a spider? It'd be fun seeing Registered Offender calling a bunch of these as as lower spiders. Or give it wings!

Wings? You mean like a Flying Giftbox's older cousin, the Flying Treasure Chest!
And it/they could blather on about wanting booty.

How about something that hops on a peg-leg? Idk.
Eh. Actually. When I think about that, I just think of an upside down Peelunger...
