I tend to sketch, and then decide if and how to color it afterwords.

Example(s) of Black and White sketches:

Examples of Colored Sketches:

[C.2]

I also work some with just raw photo-shop for results like these:
[PS.1]*Note: the feathers were made using no base image, just manipulations on photo-shop and then placed over the Rebel Insignia*

I think that's more or less enough to get started. Talk to me, tell me what you need. If I can't help you with it I'll do my best to help you find someone who can.

I did the hair first cause I'm usually the best with that and it's a nice easy way to frame the face then I moved on to the hand ... that was a mistake ...

Lol, I can't draw hands worth a s**t.. I gave up trying years ago. If you want to take it out & just make it a head shot that works for me too xD

I usually omit hands or draw them as flippers still. And it is intersting because i have done at least two hand studies. Still can't draw them....

It is coming along nicely!
