(Click here for the plot thread!) So drastically different from the Bruteball Booth, it would be fair to say that it would take some great skill to realize that they were set up by the same person. Set up a few booths down, the Amityville Prom Booth was everything an elegant, well thought out event should be represented by. Two tables have been set up side-by-side, making the booth twice as long as it should have been, and smooth, albeit slightly ripped table clothes have been laid out over top, one in a vibrant orange with ebony swirls, the other a black with molten amber. Atop the orange table, a roulette wheel has been set up, taking up much of the space, while against the black several white pieces of parchment and a bowl of what looks like prom pins have been set up, ready for any passers by. A banner of the same colors has been draped across the front to attract the crowd, the words AMITYVILLE PROM NIGHT scrawled gracefully in an black paint.
Indeed, if anyone guessed that it was Nuk who had set it up, they would have certainly come to the conclusion he had a lot of help.

With the exception of the roulette wheel, among the first things that you see when approaching the booth is a few pieces of crisp, cream-colored parchment resting on the smooth black table cloth, spread out in a row to take up most of the space. A few of them have pens, and seem to be sign up lists, although the first is an extensive sheet with what looks to be a program for a play or an opera, with a few lists, which seems to be potential themes, playlists, and games scheduled for the evening. At the very top, written a little larger at the top in the same scrawling text as the banner, reads: Quote: 'You are cordially invited to the First Annual Amityville Prom Night, hosted by the Amityville Student Council. The opening number begins at 6pm sharp on Frightday, October 24th -- refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be provided.'
~ The Student Council The rest of the information follows much the same, neatly written in listed rows where the information calls for it. Quote: Rules *Please do not vandalize this form *Drinking is prohibited -- you will be promptly escorted to Mistress Hellma's office. *Inappropriate actions of any kind will be dealt with similarly *Professionalism is required in all aspects regarding Prom *At this time, potential students are not allowed to attend. This may be amended at a further date.
Dress Code Students are required to be presentable in formal, tasteful attire. This includes a clean, polished suit and dress shoes for the gentlemen, and a graceful gown and heels for the ladies, although a suit is appropriate for ladies who wish. Forma wear appropriate to a student's linage is acceptable, as long as it the student remains refined and presentable.Theme A theme will be chosen for the Amityville Prom night by the means of a democratic election, held during Prom Committee Meeting to be held on Frightday, October 17th at 7pm in Room 272. Here, suggestions will be taken, although if you wish to submit a theme for prom early due to a scheduled absence from the Meeting, please fill out a form and drop it in the box beside the roulette wheel. The theme of the Amityville Prom Night will become the center point with which many things revolve, such as decorations and activities, as well as the hors d'oeuvres. Students may choose to dress according to the theme, however this is not required.
All students are welcome to be in attendance for the Prom Committee Meeting. If you would like to sign up, please write your name on the Signup Form located to the right. *** Purchasing a Ticket In order to attend Prom Night, students are required to purchase and provide said ticket at the time of entering. Tickets may be purchased at this booth or at any time before the evening of the event for five silver pumpkin seeds***** Tickets may also be purchased at the door, at a price of seven silver pumpkin seeds.Dates In lieu of Prom Court, dates for Prom Night are expected to be poised and tasteful, with no sexual activity involved on the dance floor. For those unable or unwilling to procure a date, accompaniment is not mandatory, and may be merely friendship-based. Couples may be male x male, male x female or female x female -- romantic involvement with minipets is strictly prohibited. Those interested in finding a date may see Ms Riley here for a consultation.Prom Court As a well-known tradition of Prom Night, students will be eligible for the positions of Prom Court, where voting will take place during the event and the winners will be crowned near the end of the evening. In order to submit your candidacy, or to nominate others for the honor, please fill out the names of the individuals on a piece of parchment paper. Positions you do not wish to fill out may remain blank. The Court is as follows:

Please submit candidacy for Prom Court by slipping your completed form into the box. Also, due to the sensitive nature of the Prom Jester, please only submit your own application. Thank you.~~~~~
The next series of sheets seem to be blank, with a plain header.Quote: Signups for Prom Committee 1. Aislin 2. Junko 3. Lizzy .... Quote: DJ Individuals interested in applying for the position of 'DJ' may apply below. Compensation may be provided.1. Aislin 2. Roch 3. ... ***You do NOT have to sign up here in order to attend, it is for everyone! However, anyone who wants an IC justification may do so! ***** This is IC ONLY! On the side with the orange table spread, taking up the full amount of space is a small roulette wheel, elegant wood and silver polished so there were no fingerprints on the smooth surface. At first, it's a little confusing as to why it's there, especially the huge barrel of egg-like sacs on the floor beside it -- is that the prize? -- but upon closer inspection there is something else on the table, stacked in vibrant rows of color in tall towers just behind the wheel. Poker Chips. You're not sure what they're for, but they seem to be worth something. Perhaps you can turn them in for prizes later on...? At any rate, you take a closer look, noticing yet another piece of parchment beside the table, the word RULES scrawled at the top.Quote: RULES Rp out your character picking up one of the tiny balls and rolling it around the outside ring of the roulette wheel, rolling a 100 sided dice in that post. For those of you who do not know how a roulette wheel works, you can watch this video for a basic understanding!
If you roll a multiple of five, you win ONE Poker Chip If you roll a multiple of ten, you win TWO Poker Chips If you roll a multiple of twenty five, you win THREE Poker Chips If you roll a one or one hundred, you win FIVE Poker Chips
It's as easy as that! You may play up to four times a day.
*Note -- Chip totals do not compound. Meaning if you roll a 50, you only get three chips, for being a multiple of twenty five.Chip Count Nukpana -- Most of de chips Junko -- 6 chips Riley -- 6 chips Shun -- 3 chips Astra -- 13 chips Lizzy -- 6 chips Roch -- 6 chips Mandy -- 4 chips Mot -- 2 chips Israfel -- 2 chips Participation Anyone who posts in this booth will be gifted a Zerg minipet, courtesy of Nuk/myself! If you would like one, please post your minipet profile name at the bottom of your post in parenthesis, so that I may send it to you! If you do not, simply either state so at the bottom of your post, or don't give me your username -- if there's no username, I won't be hunting you down, sorry!

((Ok, so here's the rundown -- there is nothing interesting that's going to go on in this thread. Most of the information you guys have already seen, there's a link to all of it right at the top of the thread. So what's the purpose of this thread? The purpose is for all your characters to ICly see the idea of Prom first hand, so that you all have a starting point for your own private plot fodder. It provides a timeline that everyone can relate to, so that stories are straight, and rp sounds as seamless as possible. Feel free to rp in this thread as you see fit -- there will be a game for 'Poker Chips' that you all may play four times a day until Open House is concluded, however, you are equally as free not to! You do not have to post in this thread for your character to know it was there, and that is the purpose of this thread <3 So relax, have fun, and enjoy the rest of Open House as we get ready for Prom 2011!))

For now, the booth was pristine. The three pieces of parchment had been laid out and smoothed down purposefully, equidistant and perfectly parallel to the edges of the table, the sound of a few pen-snakes hissing lazily atop them. The soft, satin material covering the booth swayed a little as people walked past, some of them looking over to give it a curious look, but since no one was behind the booth, most of them only paused for half a second, if that. But the look was there, the spark of interest that let those who had set up the booth know that it was time.
The stage had been set. All it needed was its caretaker.
Compared to the booth, Nuk looked severely under dressed. The boil had not changed from the jeans and black muscle shirt he had been wearing before under his pelt, looking so much look like a monster at a demon's party it could have been construed as insulting, had that been the case. As it was, he just looked out of place as he sauntered slowly up to the booth, eyeing it with a broodiness that lingered from other instances that had happened before this. Sliding one hand out of his pocket, the skinwalker reached up to shift one of the pieces of parchment with a fingertip, surprisingly gentle with what would have normally been picked up, crumpled and tossed away with a scoff. What was going through his head was a mystery -- there wasn't anything particularly telling in his glowing amber eyes as he looked things over with no particular interest, no look of irritation or even disapproval crossing his expression.
Sliding the paper back into place, Nuk slowly walked around the double-table setup to stand behind the booth, sitting down in the chair behind it and tilting it back on two legs to await the curious students.

Things had begun to die down around the Open House. The bustle and rush of monsters, demons, ghosts, and reapers wandering from booth to booth slowed down to a crawl. Which was fine for Aislin, less competition when it came to the games that were often displayed along with the information. The banshee had been wandering for a while now, trying to decide if there really was anything left that she'd feel interested in seeing when something that had not been there when she'd first glanced over the booths caught her eye.
Something orange and black and fluttering. With the large word Prom printed in smooth lettering. With a little exclamation of glee the ghoul made her way towards this booth. As she drew closer her steps became less rushed and more casual. Was that? Oh, yes. Yes it was. Trying for all the world to seem as though she hadn't been an over-excited ghoul just moments before Aislin instead now sauntered up to the booth.
"Hello." Her lips curled up into a smile as she rested her fingertips on the surface of the table. She ignored the papers for now. The boil sitting behind was much more interesting. "Is this your booth?"

The booth was moving at a snail's pace. To be expected, really -- he had set up the booth within the final few hours of the Open House, much of his time already spent goofing off and collecting Nyancats prizes, so that by the time he had returned to the empty space he had been provided, half of the prospective students were already gone. People were starting to dwindle, less of huge groups of rowdy, excited kids and more of just a trickle of individuals passing by lazily, seeing if there was anything left to see. It was these kinds of students they were looking for -- along he liked a good, wild party as much as the next person, but those whose power was higher than his own had insisted order be maintained for the planning of the event. And he did not dare defy them. Despite the lack of interest in the booth, Nuk did not look particularly bored or irritated that he was forced to sit behind the elegant booth he so clearly stood out against, retaining a smoothness to his features that might have been downright scary for those who had seen him. He was hardly ever this calm.
The first flicker of motion in his peripheral vision alerted him that someone was approaching the booth, and the skinwalker turned his head slightly to lift his eyes to them, only mild interest held in his glowing gaze. He hadn't expected it to be someone he knew, or if it was someone he knew he certainly didn't expect it to be someone he cared even a little about. However, when his eyes settled on the blonde-haired ghostling, there was a flicker of recognition in his eyes, a slight spark of interest as he noticed she was heading towards the booth. He waited until she was almost completely at the tables before he let his chair tilt back down onto all fours, slowly getting up by the time she had said hello, his lips curling slightly into a devious smirk.
"Ah, the Angel," he greeted her with the nickname he had coined on a whim, for her white attire, blonde hair and silky sweet voice, his own sounding amused and possibly secretly pleased. Certainly an attempt at debonair. "You'd be right -- welcome to the Amityville Prom Night booth. Anything I can help you with?"

Shehk had considered coming over to investigate the prom booth. She'd even left her own booth unattended to come over and take a look at the very nicely set up look it had.
However, she'd gotten close enough to see who was manning the booth and her heart and stomach started doing that flippy thing again. She looked to Nuk... then she looked to the other ghoul who was at the booth. Her ears could pick up that tone in his voice.
Not his words. But his tone.
That paranoia was starting to get out of hand again, and her face was beginning to burn.
Shehk immediately left without investigating the prom any further. She could find out more about it later, but she was going to leave the skinwalker his space.

The prom booth.
Sparrow Heartreed stood a short distance away, his hands neatly folded behind his back as he surveyed the elegantly presented booth, the sunset orange tablecloths, the roulette wheel - roulette wheel? He arched an eyebrow, amused. If our theme has to do with roulette somehow, then it most certainly will be quite an interesting evening.
Slowly Sparrow stepped over to the booth, keeping his expression relatively neutral, though the idea of prom was really very exciting to him. He had always loved a good party, a good dance (a good place to meet lovely ghouls, of course), and being still rather new to the school made this the perfect opportunity to get to know people.
He did not recognize the boil sitting behind the booth, but, then again, he did not know practically anyone save for a few miscellaneous people, so this was not unusual. However, he did recognize vaguely the ghoul standing in front of it. What the ghost's name again? Sparrow racked his brain, attempting to recall it; he had seen her at least two or three times now since the Open House had started - ah yes, Aislin. That was it. She'd been with that other ghost boil in the library, the one who had been friends with Jove.
Another ghoul was standing a short distance away from the booth, one with grey hair and cris-crossing scars across her face. Sparrow gave her a nod in greeting as he passed, smiling brightly at her, then stepped to the booth, his gaze moving to examine the things on the table.
"Good afternoon," he said to both the skinwalker and Aislin.

Junko hummed happily as she walked along with her Nyan-cat box. It was still in the box because she was worried if she opened it she would be unleashing hell upon those at the open house as the nyan-cat at paintball had been. That would be bad. She was on her way back to the FEARleading booth to show Shehk what she'd gotten when she spotted the fancy prom booth. Whoooooa! That was so pretty! She stopped walking to just stare at it, looking at the two tables and the sign and the colors and...and Nuk?! Who had he beat up to take that table from?! Junko turned on her heel to wander over and check it out, unfortunately missing Shehk's attempt to come over as well; if she'd seen her run away with her tail between her legs she would have chased after her to make sure the pricolici was okay. But she didn't see her. Woe! Instead she spotted two students by the tables with Nuk, one of them looking vaguely familiar. Where had she seen her before? That ghoul...hm!
But Nuk looked really pleasant for someone who was supposed to be stressed out and tired. She'd even seen Riley punch him in the stomach! Was he okay? She had to be sure! But..hm...oh! Of course! He was on the student council, that meant he had to act pleasant no matter how upset he was! Duh! Junko shook her head a bit and smiled at her own silliness, realizing how dumb she was to be worried like that. It was a front! Of course! And so, Nyan-cat box in hand, Junko walked right up to the booth and looked around. It was so nice! And fancy! A wave was given to Aislin and Sparrow before she turned back to Nuk, leaning in close like a bogeyman giving an interrogation.
"Alright. Now, who did you beat up and take this booth away from, Nuk?" Junko asked with a suspicious eye, though her tone was clearly teasing. She held the box out for him with a proud grin after making her inquiry. "Look! I got a Nyan-cat!" She hugged it again after that and looked down at roulette table. So this was the prom theme? This looked fun!

She couldn't help the little laugh of delight as he spoke to her in such a tone. His voice was so much deeper than her's, a little rough, but oh did it make her toes curl into the grass. When he called her 'Angel' it was all she could do not to burst into tittering, smitten giggles. Aislin brought her hands together in a single clap, her smile broadening at the information Nuk had given her. "I wouldn't have expected you to run a Prom booth. How exciting!" About to say more, she was stopped short as a ghoul with chopsticks in her long black hair came over and thrust herself into conversation with the dark-skinned boil. She frowned, then shrugged.
Best not to seem overly interested, anyway. Standing behind the other ghoul Ash looked over her head. She gave a wink of her slitted eye, a little wave, and a little hand-sign language that clearly said to him, 'I want to talk to you more later. After her.' She made sure to turn as casually as she could, hair wafting lightly about her face as she moved over to inspect the papers on the booth more clearly.
Nuk's booth would have the honor of being the second one in the entire Open House that Aislin took the time to read all of. With a little sound of happy interest she took up a pen-strickter and signed her name on both the Signups for Prom Committee and DJ sheets. She'd have to catch Nuk when he wasn't distracted by someone to get a ticket. For now she wandered over to the roulette wheel with a gleam of interest. Games. What's more gambling games. She loved games. The flash of black and red and black and red almost drew her in, like something distant that she knew once but wasn't sure about anymore.

"Oooh..." Was all the ghoul could muster as she came upon the Prom booth, caressing her arms explicitly before resting them at her hips. With the smell from Malcolm's maze left in the restroom she wandered away from, (which had gone from dorm room to restroom to open house...) Natalia could slide her way through the booth's crowd with confidence--of which she did, lifting a brow as her gaze fell heavily on the skinwalker attendee.
She came swaying up to his immediate area taking smooth steps, the fact that she wore heels hardly noticeable in her gait. (Fun fact: Natalia had changed completely while back at her dorm!) He was one the monster had yet to meet, kin in the eyes of this werelemur, stopping short of her direct path toward the propped up boil...to appraise him, mostly. Muscles became more apparent the closer she got, smooth, tanned skin luring her like moths to the light--Natalia had a thing for darker complexions, so this had been proven in the many nights she spent along side her favorite water demon Yaya...But this, this boil, this attraction she had for him was different. Usually the were had a thing for other ghouls; it just sort of happened that way. Boobs were plush, large and pillowy...boils didn't have much going for them outside of ripped abs and--
The thought trailed some...derailing her for a moment...
Orange eyes fluttered desirably as Natalia's long limbs finally brought her beside the gathering crowd. There was another student present that she knew, offering Junko a gentle pinch to the side while slipping to the front of their group. Her lips parted, words sweetened by lust as her hands found their place once more at her waist. "Hello again." There were others surrounding them as well, one blondie that seemed to have had the same idea as she only moments before; but nothing took her attention like the skinwalker.
Curling her tail at it's end, Natalia pressed her hip against the booth before pointing in his direction with her white nose. Deep blue hair that had found itself laying on her breast was promptly shouldered back in one fluent motion, exposing an orange sticker that read:
Flicking her gaze toward her chest, before turning it back to the monster boil, Natalia smirked. "And who is your friend, Junko dearest? Without looking elsewhere, the lemur leaned in a bit closer.

Why was Nukpana surrounded by women? Honestly, one might think, from the way the Prom Booth was looking so far, that he'd sprayed some kind of predatory cologne all over himself before taking his position.
Riley sniffed the air. No, nothing smelled out of the ordinary.
It wasn't that she truly minded the situation, but she did want to take a look at the prom booth itself - and there were all these tittering females in front of it. She decided her presence would only emasculate the booth, instead of add to the feminine presence.
So, in her best imitation of a bruteball player, she hunched over, dropped her arm around Junko's shoulders, slapped Natalia's rear, and then spun the roulette wheel.
All right ladies, it's time to watch a real man at work.

Junko unfortunately did not notice she was bothering Aislin with her presence, her attention was more on her awesome friend and he had to see she got an adorable Nyan-cat! She didn't notice the ghoul's actions behind her head either. She was all smiles as she peeked into the Nyan-cat's box as much as she could without opening it, looking so proud of herself; even her hair was wriggling and curling with excitement, a motion completely of her emotions' will, not Her's. "I think I see a bit of blue in there. Ohhhh it's so cute! Did you get any?" She asked excitedly, not even noticing Natalia's arrival until she was suddenly pinched. The ghoul squeaked, blinking and turning to see who had just done that to her.
"Oh! Hello, Natalia! How are...you...?" Junko blinked and followed Natalia's gaze, noticing how she was acting..funny again. She was acting strange. Why? Her brow furrowed a bit and her lips pursed, confusion clear as day on her face. "This is Nuk, he's--" Gah! Junko stumbled a bit as a weight was suddenly put on her shoulders, bracing herself with the table and looking up to see it was Riley. She smiled again, brightening up instantly.
"Hi, Riley!" She seemed to be in better spirits since she punched Nuk! She was still curious why she did that, but this wasn't the time for such things. "A real man? Well then perhaps we should call for one." Junko said with a giggle, the teasing aimed toward both Riley and Nuk and even Mister Reaper over there. Ha! No real men here! Nope! Except her Nyan-cat. Her Nyan-cat was a real man! Unless it was female. She wasn't checking.
Junko watched as the roulette wheel spun, eyes following the blurred up numbers. "That looks fun! I wanna try!"

Another ghoul had arrived; another that Sparrow did not recognize. She was pale skinned, with dark, curling hair that tumbled over slim shoulders, and it was quite apparent that she knew the skinwalker behind the booth. Sparrow bent over in a small bow as she waved at him.
"Good afternoon," he said pleasantly, but his further speaking to her was interrupted by the ghoul now sauntering up to the booth. For several moments all Sparrow could do was watch her; he had a feeling she was used to that, from the sway of her hips to that confidence she practically oozed. A tall ghoul, with carefully tousled hair, near white skin, and a nametag that read The Monster.
Sparrow was quite intrigued. He stepped towards her, nodding at the bright orange of the nametag. "Your nickname does your looks no good, I'm afraid," he said, giving her a serene smile. "If I had to pick a better name it would have been something along the lines of "beautiful" or "absolutely stunning."
Riley's arrival made him turn his eyes; finally, someone he knew. Sparrow ducked his head in greeting.
"Good afternoon, Riley," he said to the illithid. "A pleasure to see you again. I trust you are doing well?"
