This was amaaaazing! Ame had been wandering around the pride, as she was apt to do, while waiting for Elpis to wake up or come back from where ever she happened to be. Silly Elpis, she always showed up late! Some lions might get mad, but not Ame. She was a good friend. The grasshoppers told her to be a good friend. She was making them proud! So proud that the other day they'd helped her find a really pretty rock! And then her new friend, made under their guidance, had helped her get it made into a necklace! It was all so wonderful. She felt like she was really doing a good job. The grasshoppers hadn't told her to do anything else since then, but that was okay too. They must be pleased with her, or they'd make her do things, right?

Pahale was rather unsettled of late. He'd seen plenty of lions coming and going from prides and dens and in the rogue lands, but none of them were his sister, nor had seen his sister, or anyone looking like him at all. That was not good. His sister, his twin, and he had been split up several weeks ago when their roaming band had come under attack by a savage band of brutes. He knew she was not dead, for her body was not among the dead, and he suspected she was not taken hostage, as no one reported seeing more than one or two of the attackers leaving at once, and none seemed to have hostages. He simply thought that perhaps she had given chase to one of them and lost her way back. Of the two of them she had always had the temper. Perhaps someone in the pride he'd found could say if they'd seen her? He imagined a pride would at least have sentries or something.

Oooh, who was THAT? A big tall handsome stranger! Ame had no fear of rogues. That came from a lifetime living in a pride where there was no fighting or war. Everyone was blissfully crazy, and got along all too well. With all thoughts of meeting her friend flown from her head like birds, she trotted right up to the fellow. "Hiya! I'm Amefungwa! Who are you? Are you a hunter? Did you get lost and come back late and alone? You don't look like a hunter. You're a boy, for one. And really beefy. Lots of hunters I know are slim and fast. I bet I could out run you. I bet you can't hunt too well, huh?" She beamed at the male, and sat herself right down in his path. Maybe he was from the pride and she'd forgotten him. OR maybe he was a rogue! Ooooh that sounded so exciting! A ROGUE!

"Excuse me miss, have you seen..." The sandy lion's words fell from his mouth at the tirade of prattle that this female was presenting him with. What? He was fat? And a bad hunter? And lost? Well he thought he was none of those things, but the thought of raising his voice was a bad one. She seemed...simple. Perhaps she'd been hit on the head? Or maybe she was just overly friendly. Yes, that seemed apt. He sat after she did, eying her intently. She was strange, in a way. Bright red, which was an abnormal fur color for him, and talking very fast. She looked hale and healthy though, and thus was more than likely a member of this pride he'd found. Probably not a guard. She was too relaxed for that. "Forgive me," He interrupted her rant. "For trespassing. But I have a small problem. I am seeking my sister, and I was wondering if perhaps you had seen her come by? She is my twin, and would look very much akin to myself."

She slower her rambling and looked him over. He did have a very specific look. All sandy like the beach and with darker loops and streaks. His mane was very pretty to, and his eyes, when she focused on them, were stunning. "Uhm, no...I haven't...uhm...What's your name, mister?" She babbled. She'd never felt this kind of giddiness before. For some reason she really wanted this lion to like her.

"I am Pahale. My sister, should you see her, is known as Pichale. As I said, we are twins. If you have not seen her, I cannot stay to talk. It is imperative that I find her, you see."

"Wait, wait! I'll ask around the pride okay? I mean, can you come back tomorrow? There's a lot of people to ask, P-pahale, and then I'll come back and find you and let you know if any of them saw her. Is that okay?" She scrambled to her feet and turned to go, looking back only to see if she had his approval.

He was torn. Stay or go? If she had not seen his sister then he should go back to looking, but what if someone else had seen her? If he missed a lead out of impatience, he would never forgive himself. He sighed and stood, nodding to the eager lioness. "Very well. I will wait here, or near here, and you will come back...perhaps the same time tomorrow, or near that? I do hope someone will have heard of her, at the least. And if no one has seen her, but sees her later, try to find her and keep her here, that I might collect her on my way back home?"

She nodded again and scampered away through the brush. She'd ask everyone! But that was a lot of people. Wait, she had an idea! She'd get Elpis to help her! Hadn't she been supposed to meet up with her any ways? And she still hadn't shown up? Silly Elpis! Wait until sh told her all about the handsome Pahale! She'd have to start going near the rogue lands more often! For now though, she thought. Where had Elpis been wanting to go? The beach! That was right! Eagerly she took off, running down the same trail her friend had passed down not too long ago.
