Rebirth is the story of a 17th century half-vampire (born to a human mother and a vampire father) named Deshwitat Lived Rudbich. It follows the first encounters, the fate-bonded relationship and the eventual friendship he builds with a nobleman named Kalutika Maybus II, the son of the man who killed Deshwitat's family. Befriending him their lives become entwined and Deshwitat is given a chance to live among humans and fight alongside Kalutika against a cult attempting to raise the dark god "verakdah". However, a hooded figure of un-imaginable power (a being beyond time and space) begins to manipulate events in order to fulfil a destiny preordained by the gods...
Kalutika is pitted against his former friend and ally Deshwitat, and with the help of the hooded-figure, attained Godhood. With near unlimited powers of light, the now "Golden God of light" (Kalutika) kills Deshwitat's loved one, "Lilith" and casts him into limbo for over 300 years...
Now in the present day, Deshwitat seeks to avenge Lilith's death and to destroy Kalutika, while the God seeks to destroy the world. Their paths cross once again and Deshwitat enlists the help of a group of warriors with powerful magic to fight, but finds that he will need to obtain much more power to stand a chance against a God.

Half-vamp?? No, not posible. If his dad is a vampire that means his dad is dead and therefore can't impregnate his mom. Sorry, but you have to at least stick tot eh basic vamp rules! Eh, dosn't sound so good either.

nonsense, his dad isn't dead, he's undead there's a difference
and even if he was dead it is possible to do a post-mortem sperm retrival, but he would've had to died very recently....

There is one thing that everybody is forgetting, and if you haven't read the series, then you wouldn't even know. stare In most cases in Japanese manga and anime, vampires are not dead nor undead. They are put into the same class as demons (AKA Inuyasha sortah demons and various other shows. Even Bleach though Bleach has a semi-original twist on it). In this case, vampires are considered demons but not only that, they are considered the masters of demons. They are the darkest of the dark and the best of the best when it comes to demons. Also they can think for themselves. Of course there is a bit of traditional European vampire mythology thrown in (in the 4th manga Deshwitat gets shot with a silver bullet and this prevents the wound from healing. Also when near a cross, he gets uneasy. And he can't walk outside in the daylight).
So to put it bluntly, he can be a half vampire only because they are considered demons. Oh yeah forgot one more thing. If a vampire bites and drains the soul and blood of a person, the person who was BITEN turns into an undead vampire that acts only on instinct for blood. The only way they can be turned back is for the one who bit them to be killed (classic vamp myth trait). Also, if a vampire with original vampire blood within him (AKA Deshwitat and his father and maybe a few others in the story who may not have been mentioned) is turned to ashes (i.e. not burned to a crisp or actually killed in full body), they can be brought to life by spilling the blood of a virgin on the ashes. This is how Deshwitat is brought back to life after a very tragic past event (poor Desh. I'd kill that mofo too).
So yeah. Thats ADK's little tidbit. Now I'm gonna run away before I get flamed.
