Camelot had been thinking about things and knew that he needed to get his act together. He had an idea now. A plan, of sorts.
Well. The beginnings of a plan.
He wanted to gather knights to him, exactly like the Knights of the Round table he was so often teased about. They would support each other and fight for one another, while together they would become a force for good in the war torn Destiny City. They would defend those that most needed defending, and end the conflict between senshi and negaverse, that got people killed and injured. The warriors, the innocent, and everything in between.
He just knew he could not do it himself, and he had run into a few people who seemed to think the same as he did. If they were limited in their abilities on their own, then why not work together under one cause?
It made sense to Camelot.
For now, he was testing the waters. He wanted to speak with knights and warriors he had run into before, the ones he knew might at least be halfway interested in the idea, and build a foundation to start from. It was better than doing nothing.
Except he wasn't sure... where to find them all. So he was retracing his steps.

Niflhel was enjoying cookies from a local bakery that had just recently closed for the night. He'd managed to get the last batch before they closed. Eating them pretty happily as he was getting ready to patrol, however he wasn't paying attention to where he was going, nor who was around.
That was until he noticed someone that looked vaguely familiar pass him. Niflhel turned to walk backwards looking at who had passed him, "CAMELOT!" He yelled waving at the older man, before *TWACK* he ran into the lamppost behind him.

Camelot felt the energy, heard the voice, then heard the thunk of the knight that had just run into a street light. He looked back and winced, rubbing the back of his own head in pity. That couldn't have felt very good.
"Niflhel," he said, shaking his head. He turned back fully and then went back to the younger man.
"Are you alright? You ah... should watch where you're going..." he frowned, feeling guilty for that one. He had, after all, drawn Niflhel's attention as he was walking. So it meant making him bump into the pole. Totally Camelot's fault, though it was the Page of Saturn that hadn't been paying attention.
Didn't matter.
"What are you up to?" he asked, noticing the bag of cookies. "I was just looking for you." He smiled, glad that search hadn't been too difficult after all.

Niflhel chuckled as he rubbed the back of his head, one eye closed. "Ahah I should really not walk backwards." He shrugged softly as he nodded, "Yes, I'm quite alright, it's just a little bump."
He didn't blame Camelot at all, despite having turned back to look at the other knight. "I was fixing to go on watch." He replied as he offered the other cookie. "I find it nice to carry food so you don't get hungry." He chuckled.
"Oh you were?" He asked tilting his head wondering why.

"No, unless you install some mirrors," he held his hands up to his shoulders, to indicate where the mirrors would go, "so you can see behind you as you're walking."
He was glad no permanent damage was done, of course. If this were a cartoon, or Niflhel had luck similar to Tony's own maybe, the light would have somehow come out of the lamp and smashed on his head. Just to add insult to injury.
He accepted the cookie, laughing.
"Well, that makes sense. I'm usually starving by the time I get home," he nodded his head. He didn't think he'd do much good on patrol with a bag of food in his hand, though. He nodded his head though, motioning for them to walk. They could patrol and talk at the same time.
"I was thinking about us. I mean. Knights, not us as in any kind of... us. Hm. Bad start. I've not rehearsed." He took a breath, nervous and excited energy seeping into his veins. "I was thinking about how you and I were capable of helping one another in a fight. I've run into other Knights, who have unique items and skills, and working together we accomplish more. And then I was talking to them and I learned we thought kind of the same..."
He sighed, knowing it was going to sound dumb.
"So I thought a group of some sort, who help one another and work to keep and promote peace and life, would be a good idea." He was hoping the words 'round table' didn't pop up.

Niflhel chuckled, "If I installed Mirrors I might as well see if Zerconia wants to jump out of one them." He was joking as he followed Camelot listening to him almost babble, until he talked himself out.
"You're pitch seems a little rough." He said with a pause thinking, "I don't think you'd win a playwright that way."
He stretched, and turned his head so his neck gave a small pop. He was thinking, "If you want I can help with that." He gave a nod, "It sounds like a good idea, we just need a way to communicate, also have you thought of something to call it?"
Niflhel had already been using Aurthur's legend to describe what they were. He wouldn't've fond it far fetched to call the group something related but since that was Camelot's realm he was going to let the older knight suggest it if he wanted.

Camelot sighed.
"I'm working on it. Sometimes I have a better lead in than that. I should wait to be prompted, instead of barreling into it," he grinned, shaking his head at his own expense. He'd done better before, but he'd perfect it sooner rather than later, surely.
It wasn't about the pitch. He wasn't trying to sell anything. He just wanted people to listen and to decide for themselves if they agreed or not. So he needed to be clear and straightforward. Not bumbly and awkward. The more he worked as Camelot, though, the better at it he would get.
Librarians didn't have much use for public speaking.
"I'm not sure about communicating yet, beyond meeting and organizing. But I'm sure we'll think of something. As far as a name goes, I was just going to stay simple. Uh. The Knights of the Round belonged to King Arthur, but I imagine we belong to... the people here. Every life we fight to protect, from civilian to the combatants in the war and of course our friends. So."
He frowned thoughtfully.
"The Knights of Destiny City. Or. Destiny."

Niflhel nodded, "Sometimes though you won't always be prompted into it. Having a well rehearsed speech or even a flyer or something that explains what you're talking about helps, specially when you're not the best at speaking on the fly. That said, you did a good job." He paused, "However if I may, think of it like a play, if you're going to ask someone if they're interested it's best to know what it's about, why you're asking and often times what you know. It would be like putting on a Shakespearean play, you have to know how to run the idea so others at least give it a chance."
He chuckled and smiled, "However, it does sound interesting." Niflhel paused to think, "Indeed, however you are the knight of Camelot, and as a matter of fact, the symbol for earth is round. Now of course that might not be the reason Aurthur choose it but it at least has it's bases." He shook his head amused at the connections that could be made between the knight and Aurthor's court.
"The Knights of Destiny has an interesting ring." He seemed to be thinking about it, nodding. "Protectors of those that need it, and helpers to those that can fight. Persuaders to those that cause trouble... Would the meeting place we have use a round table?" He paused looking at Camelot.
"Because, I have to wonder would there be a chain of command so to speak. Or would we all be equals?"

Camelot nodded his head. He would have to practice a bit more, certainly, just to be more confident in himself. It wasn't his ideas that had him stumbling, after all. He was just new to this world and this position, though his convictions were solid.
"A play, hm? I never was much of an actor. But I guess in this light I'd be more the director than anything else, wanting to get together a cast to help me make my... play... as good as possible."
He chuckled. He understood the metaphor, at least, and told himself he'd do a bit better next time.
A frowned crossed his features as he eyed Niflhel, though it split into a grin.
"No, I don't think we have to use a round table. Unless it happens to be round when we deign to sit down. Smart alec. In my head, the Knights would function best in support of one another, loyal to each other and to the idea that brings us all together, the concept of peace, but I don't know if there would be a true leader. It's not about serving any one person, it's about serving the people at large."

Niflhel grinned, "Yes a play." He shrugged softly, "Even the worst of actors can be the greatest of directors." He assured the knight as he took a cookie from the parcel he carried, offering another to Camelot.
He chuckled, "Ah, but for those that enjoy aesthetics it's not that idiotic of a question." The knight shook his head, though he listened intently. "What I worry about, mainly is if you watch the senshi as they are one group without a leader they function as many parts. They lack the trust in the full group. Where as my experiences with the Negaverse is that they are incidentally the complete opposite. They function as one family, one group, one body, and last I saw they have a leader as well."
He paused looking at Camelot, "If we can function the same without a leader then I say it's wroth it, but we must convince the senshi they can not fracture either, even without a leader they need to be able to function as one. While we have to stop the war, we also have to look at the picture of 'how long will it take?' and 'what will it take?' I'm all for a peaceful ending, but until we figure out how, we need to find a way to make preventative measures." He looked at Camelot, "Do you agree?"

Camelot shook his head. He still had part of the first cookie, and showed it as proof. Plus, he didn't want to eat them all when Niflhel seemed to be enjoying them. He always felt guilty about things like that.
"I've been learning that as well. The difference in their structures. But I don't think it benefits either one more than the other. The senshi have broader freedom to act on their own, and that breeds very distinct... groups... making them difficult to classify or try and condense into any one uh... strategy to fight, if that makes sense. The Negaverse, on the other hand, work as one large group, and work for their one leader. They all seem to have the basic needs to follow, which involve the energy hunting thing. So while the Senshi don't have a leader and are in a bit of a mess, the Negaverse are almost... predictable, even if they all go about their duties in different ways. They both have to compensate for all of this, and more. That's just a very... simple observation so far. In any case, we'd be somewhere inbetween those two... styles. United, but pledged to peace and to each other, not any one leader."
He was babbling, and he took a breath again while Niflhel questioned him.
"Well that is the point I'm going after. I don't want to gather a bunch of people who all just sit around and think about peaceful times. We will do what we can. Stopping fights, talking, rescuing those in need, whatever we can in the interim, in small steps, until we can find that answer."

Niflhel nodded as he munched, listening. He didn't mind for the other to have cookies, if they ran out Niflhel could just go buy more later. It wasn't like the end of the world.
He nodded softly listening and letting Camelot talk, once he was finished though there was a stern look on Niflhel's face "Only... when it comes to big battles. Often that lack of unity gives a disadvantage to the senshi. I've seen it more than once." He looked at Camelot sternly. "There have been lives lost over not being organized. It's not a matter of predictably it's a matter of coming together when it counts and working as a team to save lives of others. If you're not organized for a war you lose it. My father serves over seas, unfortunately some of that stubbornness of knowing what you're fighting for and believing in it as well as working together has rubbed off a bit." Despite not wanting to admit he didn't want to be part of the war his father was fighting.
He nodded however and his features seemed to soft. "Good, it sounds like you have a stern footing." He finished off the cookie he was munching on. "I'm not against, so I might as well be for it." He smiled, "Where do I sign?"

"There have been many lives lost, either way," Camelot countered.
"It doesn't matter the cause. It needs to end, one way or the other. I can't give them a leader. But I can give us a strong foundation. The senshi aren't organized, no, not as a whole. But I've seen units, even formed through senshi who don't know each other, that team up and accomplish incredible things. Relying solely on a leader or some kind of higher ups to tell you what to do is well and good, when you have it. But the senshi don't have that luxury, and are forced to do what they can. Forced to do a lot of things, when they wake up without a clue."
He shook his head.
"We can't help that way," he said with a sigh, "but we can help bring the fighting to an end. Or at least spare as many lives as we can. Sign up?" He smiled, offering his hand.
"I suppose the simplest thing is to... pledge loyalty to the Knights... the Knights of Destiny. To spare lives, end battles, and preserve civilian life in this city. Allow everyone, no matter who or what they are, a chance to have some normalcy and, most importantly, peace."

Niflhel watched he nodded, "I know, however my point is, there shouldn't've been."
His eyes had a spark in them, "Couldn't we help them find their leader? A War this old, wouldn't it make sense there's some one leading it somewhere down the line? There are princesses on the senshi side. Why are they not helping?" He looked at bit conflicted at that thought, knowing that when you didn't have a king and queen you followed the prince, or in this case the princess.
He took Camelot's hand, "Aye, but I feel we should shorten the pledge." He grinned jokingly, "It's a bit of a mouthful, otherwise I may start to feel like Puck."

Camelot laughed and nodded his head as he shook Neflhel's hand, then let him go.
"I'll go home and edit the script now, surely. Before I forget some of these notes." Of course, knowing him, he actually would want to make sure he remembered how to make things go smoother with the next knight he managed to recruit. At least this had gone well, even with the bumbling.
Maybe it was the cookies. Should he bring cookies next time?
He sighed, one hand rubbing his shield arm thoughtfully.
"I don't think it's our mission to find their leader. Their leader might not exist. And to give them what they need to perpetuate the war is not what I want to do. If we do ever end up talking to their leaders, it would be to find a resolution. "For now, we have to deal with the current problems. Start from the bottom and work our way up dilligently. I think civilians should be our main concern, as they are often the targets and victims of these fights. And we'll do our best to talk to senshi and negas, or at the very least keep them from killing one another."
He sighed, his head throbbing a bit.
