User ImageSteelmind wandered at the border between the Greater Herds Plain and Sandar Lake. The blanket he had been wrapped in as a young foal was still drapped over his back, the edges brushing at the long grass.

It was unusual to see a colt so young wandering about on his own. Certainly Steelmind had parents who loved and cared about him, and he loved them back. He wasn't what you would consider an affectionate type though, and if he took it in his mind to wander then that's what he would do.

'How different it is from the woods,' he thought, listening to the sound of water lapping at the shore and the wind dancing in the grass. Wind. As a native of the Fresya Woods, wind wasn't something Steelmind had fully appreciated until now. Who knew that it could blow with such relentlessness!

Right now it was gentle though, and the colt lifted his face to let the air blow by, nostrils flaring as he sniffed at the scents it carried.

Ophelia had been walking for days, searching for answers to questions that had been floating around her head lately. Thus far she had been unable to answer them, however, she knew that soon all the answers she was seeking would reveal themselves to her. As she began to walk towards the water she noticed a small foal a few feet away. Curiously she looked around for the parents of said foal, but realized very quickly that they were nowhere to be found.

Ophelia walked closer to the foal, now being able to see that it was a young colt. She quickly allowed herself to take in the small details that covered his legs and face. She was pleasantly surprised how well all of his colors seemed to mix well together. It was not everyday that one so interesting was born into the world. "Hello young colt." She said with a kind smile. "Are you lost?" Ophelia asked as she once again tried to look for his parents.

Steelmind looked around. Certainly he hadn't been snuck up on, for it was quite hard to be snuck up on in the middle of this giant field. Or maybe that was just how it seemed to someone who came from a forest.

"I'm not lost," he replied simply. He noticed the female looking around, as though searching for something, and had a pretty good guess as to who she was looking for. "My parents aren't here," he said, just as simply. There was the slightest implications that they at least knew where he was, though nothing he said hinted at where exactly they were.

Ophelia returned her gaze to the foal with a worried look. "This is not a good place for a foal. You should really go to your parents." She said, trying to convince him that finding them was the best idea at the moment. "There are some horses around here that are not kind and especially to young foals like yourself." She said, looking around. This time she was making sure that none of those creatures were lurking near by. It could end up badly for this foal. Ophelia wasn't exactly the strongest mare around. Oh this was bad, very bad indeed. She had felt calmer and mroe at ease when she thought his parents might possibly be in the immediate area. However, she had a feeling they were not.

Steelmind did not look at all worried. "We are in northern Azreth, just south of the Fresya Woods. Everyone knows that followers of the Six are not welcome in these territories, and anyone from the south would have to make it past the herds in the Greater Herd Plain."

Of course he knew that there was always the chance an individual might wander this far north undetected, but Steelmind thought it unlikely. He also did not add that, as a foal with a moldable mind, any bad personalities were more likely looking for someone to corrupt to the cause. The last thing he needed was for a well-meaning stranger trying to walk him home!

As the colt talked about the territory in relation to where the Six was, she shook her head. Even though he was right, evil didn't really care what stood in their way. If they wanted something bad enough they would take it, regardless of what toll it might take on the lower ranking's lives. There were always more minions around the corner that they could trick into joining the dark side. "You may be right." Ophelia replied, hinting that she knew that, that would not stop them from coming here. "Well if you won't listen to me, then I guess you will have to find out for yourself." She said with a smile as she turned away from the colt. "Although, I think the Six is not your only worry." Ophelia said, now with her back facing him. "A lot of rumors have been buzzing around that there are much more darker creatures lurking in the forest." Ophelia said with a sigh. "But oh well. I guess you will just be eaten." She said with a smile, making sure he could not see it. Maybe if I scare him enough he will go to his parents. She thought to herself as she slowly began to walk away.
