It was early in the morning, the sky was clear, and one could already tell the sun would be scorching all day. This did not please Domi. Knowing that the beach would get crowded, it would be much harder to hide than usually. Maybe he should leave the shallows for a while? Just untill the weather calmed down a bit. But that might take days, or even a week. And what if he ran into a dolphin, or even worse, TWO DOLPHINS! No, he'd much rather be spotted. But just in case, he went a collected some leaves to put amongst the reeds. There, now he felt safe and sound. The sun was allready up high, and he could hear the first landwalkers comming in the distant. Domi slided into the water without a sound and put some leaves on his head. He felt completely invisible

Boysen walked towards the beech in a happy trot. It was way too hot for her, and she was glad to be by the cool water. Though in all honesty, salt water wasn't her favorite to get wet in. But water was water, and it's always fun to play in!
She picked up her pace and padded into the splash zone of the waves, cooling off her paws that were suffering from the trek through the scorching sand. Happily in the water, Boysen flexed her toes, letting the cold water get in between. "Cold!" She shouted out gleefully, shocked by the sudden change in temperature. She was having so much fun, she seemed to be oblivious to everything around her.

The waves! Someone just hopped into he water, causing such waves to throw Domi's leaves off of his head. Paniced as he was, he dived down to the bottom and started swimming of to a safer area.
The water was allready full of carous enjoying themselves, and it was hard not to bump into someone. They're everywhere! Domi hurried up, but his eyes stuck on on a cute little snail, and before he he knew it, he collided with a purple and white paw. No! No no no! He scurried of towards the nearest reeds, hoping that whoever those paws belonged to hadn't spotted him. But just in case, he had to peek. So he went to the surface, only holding his nose above the water.

Boysen nearly jumped a foot out of the water as she felt something bump against her. She hadn't been too close to any of the other Carousels in the area, so she couldn't figure out what had bumped into her. Playfully, she shifted her eyes to look around the beach, acting dramatically.
In the corner of Boysen's eye she saw him. Or her. In the reeds only a few feet away. Staring. Right. At. Her. Of course that means she has to approach him (or her) while making a large commotion.
"You there!" She shouted out, hopping over to Domi. However since there were already so many Carousels at the beach, very few Carousels paid her loud shout any attention. "Whatcha doin' Mr. Tiger!?"

Panic! Complete panic! The purple fox stared back at him, and it SHOUT! And it came closer, and closer, towards him, noticing him, seeing him, calling for him! What to do? What to do!? DIVE! And so, Domi dove as deep as he could.
He tried to swim off, but the reeds were as thick as a new pack of toothpicks, slowing hid down. After only a few metres he gave up, exhausted and needing to breathe. Back up to the surface. Back up to all the carousels. Just the thought chilled his spine.

Boysen gave a curious stare into the water where the Tiger had sat. Well that wasn't weird at all! "Mr. Tiger?" Boysen asked her reflection, only then looking up to see where he had swam off to.
"Where'd you go?" she called out, poking through the top of the reeds looking for where he dived off to. "Mr. Tigeeeeeeeeeeeer!"

Noooo, it's still looking! Domi was still too pumped out to scurry off again, so he looked for the nearest hiding spot. Aha! He found a rock that was just barely large enough to hide behind.
He peeked over the edge, seeing the fox comming closer. Maybe he should hide better, just in case. Of course! Domi put a padleaf on his head, the perfect disguise. Now he was once again invisible.

This was like hide-n-seek! It was rather fun for Boysen to play, especially since she was so good at it. "Ima find you!" she shouted out in a playful tone, now hopping from rock to rock to add even more fun to the game.
Hop, hop, hop. The rocks were getting slippery as the waves gently splashed against the rocks. "Woah!" Boysen shouted out as a wave pushed her when she was just about to land on another rock. She fell towards the water, conveniently on the pad leaf that was being used as a disguise. "Oh hey! I found you, Mr. Tiger!"

Now his head hurt AND he was found! He couldn't think of anything else to do but to give in. Afterall, they were rather far off from the crowd now, and what harm could one little fox do? Except for a severe head fracture. "Please get off me..."
How did she see through his disguise anyway? She never would've found him if she wouldn't have landed straight on him, or atleast that's what he told himself.

"Okie Dokie!" Boysen, hopping off of Domi back onto the rock she slipped off of. "Lucky lucky! I caught you!" She giggled in amusement. "I'm so awesome at hide-n-seek! Now it's your turn to seek!"
"Unless you want to play something else?" Boysen asked her new friend from above. "Like maybe... charades or tag! Hey, what's your name anyways?"

"Uhhhh..." Domi had never heard of any of those games. He never cared much for playing with others. Actually, he didn't care much for doing anything with others, ever.
"My name is... Domi. Domi solo, but just Domi's fine." He actually had to stop and think a while just to remember his own name. What was he supposed to do now? What did you usually do when someone wanted to play with you? "I... Don't know what that is, miss Boysen." He slipped down a little further into the water and removed the leaf from his head, still wondering how she was able to spot him.

"Nice ta meetcha! M' names Boysen. Boysen Berry!" Boysen said very seriously, despite her slurring her words together. "Don't know what charades are? Or you don't know what tag is?" She asked the green Tiger with a curious look.
"You're not going to run off again are you? You're a mighty fast swimmer for a cat."

"No, not really." Domi looked at her. She seemed so very hyped up, like the little cubs that used to run around with popsicles all over the beach. Actually, she kind of looked like a popsicle too, all colourfull.
"Well, that's 'cause..." No you idiot, you can't just say that! "I... Practise?" Did landwalkers even practise swimming? Domi looked at her, just waiting for her to question him for saying such an odd thing.

"Well... that makes sense." Boysen said with a nod."So Domi... let's just play tag!"
Within the blink of an eye Boysen reached down and tapped Domi on his head and ran off, hopping from rock to rock. "Catch me if you can!" she yelled out, giggling. If he wasn't going to run off, she might as well do it!

She hit me? She hit me, and now she's running away! Domi had no idea what was going on. Was this a game? Hitting and running was a game? What was he supposed to do? Catch her? He just looked at her for a while, trying to figure out what she wanted from him.
As Boysen kept hopping away, Domi figured he better go after her before she came back and hit him again -or better yet- jump on him. He took off, swimming as fast as he could in her direction, and it didn't take him long to catch up. Now what? Catch her, she said. Domi hopped up and grabbed her, dragging the colourfull fox with him back into the water with a huge splash. "There, I catched you."
