Ok so I'm a 15-year-old Catholic and started having my Confirmation classes a while back... I was wondering if any of you guys could give me any input and stuff on my Confirmation name, how many service hours I should have, etc. I know you're probably all going to say "just choose your godparent as your sponsor"...well, you see, my godmother is my aunt, and I wouldn't say we don't speak anymore, it's just she and my other aunt and mother (her sisters) haven't been getting along lately, but I don't really want to go into details why. So, for the sake of this arguement, I don't want to choose her, but that's OK, because I have a lot of family friends who are Catholics that I can choose and stuff.

And the name...I was thinking either Alice, Catherine, Geneieve, Magdalena or Elizabeth, but eventually narrowed it down to Elizabeth and Magdalena because both Mary Magdalene and Elizabeth were very important saints. But I'm not sure which one to choose. Well, if I decided to add my confirmation name to my full name Magdalena would go better...but still, is that a good enough reason?

And the service hours...how many hours do I have to do? Or does that depend on the state? Or country? Or church? Or what have you? I have plenty of service hours to do this year but still, I'm curious. Any one want to give me their input on this and such?
