Poseidon was in deep trouble. He had promised himself long ago that he would not fall prey to the fair skinned opposite sex. All his male friends seemed to be mated or falling in love, and he had told himself that would never happen to him. At least that was until he met, her. Sera, a vixen worthy of his worship. She was beautiful of course, but his feelings were not based solely on that. Though of course he was in complete denial of his feelings, and tried to push them out of his thoughts.
But every so often, something would remind him of her and his mind would begin to wander. Like it was now. The color of the flower sitting net to his feet reminded him of the color of her eyes and he comically glared at it. He was never this irrational, that was for his airheaded friends.

It was interesting, this feeling. Sera wasn't quite sure what to call it though. Infatuation perhaps? Eh, close enough. Whatever it was called, it was interesting feeling it nonetheless. And it was all his fault. Well, that wasn't true. No other fox could make her feel things, it was her own mind and soul that made her feel. But still. She hadn't felt such feelings before she met him, that silly friend of hers.
Sera had grown up alone and that was usually just how she liked things to be. Many foxes called her odd, but in her opinion, they were the odd ones. She kept things real. If she was happy, she showed it. If she wanted to wiggle and dance, she would. If she decided she liked someone, she would tell them. Which was what she planned to do next time she saw Sei.
Yep. It was decided. She felt all funny around him which could only mean one thing. She liked him. And thus, she had to tell him.

"Damn it...." Poseidon sighed. Honestly who was he trying to kid. He liked Sera and that was all there was too it. He hadn't planned to end up liking the vixen but it was too late for that. He supposed he ought to tell her that but, nah. It wasn't his style. He was the more cool, collected type which meant that he was going to wait and see how she felt before he made any attempt to say anything about how HE felt.
"Precisely." He smiled, then slowly the smile morphed into a frown. He realized that he was actually going to have to find her in the first place. He recalled all the conversations that they had, and he couldn't remember her ever telling him where she lived. Well that was going to make something difficult.

Hm. Now there was the problem. To tell Sei that she liked him, she would have to find him. Or, let the universe guide him to her? Things worked like that, right? Of course they did. She just needed to be at the right spot and the universe would lead Sei directly to her. Now, where was that place going to be?
Sera thought hard on what kind of places Sei might like. Then she thought hard on what places Sei might think she liked. So if she was Sei, where would she think she would be? Well, Sei knew she was odd and didn't stay on the beaten path, so.... Someplace other foxes would probably not be. Like on top of a waterfall or something.
Yep. That was it. She was going to go site at the top of the closest waterfall she could find and wait for Sei to find her there because that was totally how things worked in her world.

Sei thought about where in the world he was going to look for this vixen. She was definitely not like any of the other vixens that he met, ever. Sera was....peculiar. He didn't like the word odd. Sera wasn't odd, she just didn't fit into the same category that everyone else seemed to. But then again he didn't fit into it either. Maybe that was why he liked her so much.
He shook his head. Straying from the issue Sei, he chastised himself. Where would a peculiar vixen go to? Somewhere....not normal. Ah ha! That was it. She would be somewhere that other foxes would avoid.
So he searched, and he searched, and he searched. He looked in bogs, which he still could smell on him whenever he walked, he looked in deserts and even in bear caves. That hadn't gone as well as he thought.
Finally he collapsed in front of a waterfall at the edge of the large pool of water. His tongue lapped out at the cool refreshment and then he let his head sink to the ground.
"Sera...where are you?" He frowned.

Wow, this was taking a lot longer than she thought it would. Was it possible that when she decided that she liked Sei, her world had changed and that she was supposed to be the one to go looking for him? If so, that was a bummer. She had already wasted so much time. But if that was the way things were, she would have to go find him. So now, where to start? Where would Sei be?
One thing was sure, he wouldn't be on the top of a waterfall. So first things first, she had to get down. Sera tossed her pink hair out of her eyes and looked around. A small smile made it's way to her face as she thought about the quickest way to get down from a waterfall. She already knew that there were no rocks in the pool below because she had swam there day's prior. Her smile grew as she stood, trotted back a little ways, took aim, and then sprinted at full speed towards the edge of the waterfall.
Sera had to give herself credit, it was a very nice leap and dive, her form, for a fox, was perfect. She hit the water with a big splash, surely drenching the shore line closest to her with a wave of water.

Poseidon considered himself a fox of the sea. He loved water, he loved to be in it, and he loved the smell of it on the air. But after being thoroughly soaked out of the blue, Sei wasn't so keen to it. In fact, he was rather annoyed with it. Growling he shook up and shook out his fur.
"Great, now I'm going to catch a cold." He sighed heavily then spotted something peeking out of the surface of the water. "Hair?" He stared at it baffled, then he recognized the shade and his mouth turned into an O shape.
"Sera?" He cocked his head to the side and stared at her puzzled. Had his brain conjured her up or was she really there in front of him? And if she was, she was going to pay for splashing him. Grinning, Sei chuckled. Oh yes. He would find a way. Perhaps tickling, that was always effective.

Now that was exhilarating. The way the breeze rushed past her on the fall, the way the water pulled her in as if trying to swallow her up. That was the way to live life right there. Sera had never been to keen on next times but if there was ever a next time for jumping off that waterfall, she was going to drag Sei to do it with her.
Speaking of. Sera surfaced, gasping for air, and began swimming to the shore when she heard her name. And oddly enough, it sounded like Poseidon's voice. Sera ducked her head underwater to move the hair from her face when she resurfaced. Sure enough, Sei was sitting on the shore, looking like he had just gone for a swim of his own.
"Poseidon." Sera answered back as she swam over to him. "What do you know, I found you. You really need to learn how to hide better, I thought it was going to take way more time to find you than that." Part of her knew Sei had no idea what she was talking about, but a bigger part of her didn't care.

He looked at her, having no idea what she was talking about. She had been looking for him? Sei cocked his head to the side as he regarded her. Perhaps that was the reason he couldn't find her. Shaking out his wet fur, her moved closer to the edge of the pool and sat on his haunches.
"I wasn't trying to hid Sera..." Sei looked at her seriously, "I have been looking for you for the past week. I would not consider that hiding form you. But now that I have found you again....Um..." He cleared his throat as he looked at her nervously. Now that he had finally found her, he didn't know what to say to her.
"Hi."

Sei had been searching for her all week? Hrm. Why did it take this long for the universe to bring them together then? Oooh, maybe it was that they both had to be looking for each other. Once they did that, they were delivered to each other. Yep, that had to be it. Sera almost rolled her eyes for being so silly and waiting a whole week. But things had worked out and Sei was here now. So now all that was left was to tell him what she wanted to find him for and tell him... Or something like that.
"Hi." Sera replied, climbing out of the pool of water and shaking off her fur. Once her fur was cleansed of the excess water, Sera turned to Sei and smile. She quickly engaged her butt wiggling pose, front paws and head down, her hind and tail in the air wiggling. "I really like you. Stay with me?" Yep, it was that simple.

Sei was about ready to reprimand her for soaking him when she made her declaration of 'like' for him. Needless to say he was struck dumbfounded. A male that prided himself on his eloquent speech had noting to say, not a single word would even form in his mind. She liked him. Not just liked, she really liked him! And she wanted him to stay. For how long? Indefinitely, because he liked the sound of that.
"I..Mm..." He gulped as he continued to stare at her dumbly. "Mhm." Sei nodded his head in answer to her question. Honestly it was the best that he could do. With her declaration, and the fact that her body was wiggling in front of him. His mouth was watering, and his mind was running wild with perverse thoughts.

Sera kept up her pose, patiently awaiting Sei’s answer. It seemed that he was having a bit of trouble forming his words. For a minute, Sera almost feared that Sei was taking so long because he was deciding how to tell her that he didn’t want to stay with her. But that minute wasn’t long lived for he soon nodded in reply.
Although she had been hoping he would say yes and stay with her, she hadn’t expected the intense emotions she would feel when he actually did say yes. Joy rushed through her body and she bounced up and down in place before pouncing Sei to giving his neck a nuzzle. Unfortunately, when she pounced him, she set them both off balance and she only had a few seconds to nuzzle him before the two of them rolled off the shore into the pool of water.

He knew that she would be happy he said yes, but he didn't realize the extent to which she would be happy. Nor did he expect her to tackle him out of nowhere. Sei was pleased with the reaction, in fact he was elated. Up until the point that the tackle ended up with him being soaked. Again.
Pulling himself out of the water, he turned to glare at the vixen but she looked so happy that he didn't have the heart. Instead he actually smiled at her. Smiled! Poseidon. He didn't think the day would come, but it had. He was genuinely happy, and it was all because of Sera. The vixen made him happier then he had ever been in his life. Laughing at how absurd they both looked, he leaned over and gently nuzzled the vixen.
"You make me happy Sera. Now get out of the water before you catch a cold."

Once in the water again, Sera swam around in a circle, swishing her tail back and forth happily in the water behind her. This day just couldn't get any better. First, she'd embarked on and adventure. Then she'd jumped off a waterfall. And then she'd found Sei and he'd agreed to stay with her. Perfect. Day.
"That's not how you catch a cold, Silly." Sera laughed as she swam her circle again. She flipped her hair out of her face and smiled back at him. Leisurely, the pink haired vixen climbed out of the pool a second time. "You don't like getting wet, do you Sei?"

"I don't mind getting wet....and I know it don't necessarily make you catch a cold when you're in the water....but I heard that it lowers your temperature, and makes it easier to catch something." Sei looked at her, "A shaman told me that once."
The male watched as she got out of the water, then immediately walked over to her and rubbed up against her wet fur, trying to warm her with his body. "I don't want anything to happen to you Sera." He looked at her concerned.
