Taking a deep breath, Sakura eyed her stomach. It was starting to bulge slightly, though not in any obvious way yet. She pawed the ground nervously. Could it be that she was pregnant? After all, she and Adrian had been trying. Though there was no love between them other than that of friendship, the stallion had seen her intense desire to become a mother, and had offered to sire her foals (physically, at least).
But... then again, she'd been intensely hungry lately, probably because she'd been quite active. As a consequence, she had started eating much much more. Could her slightly-larger-than-usual-stomach just be from an increased food intake? That would certainly be a logical explanation.
"Urgh..." The mare's head had been through this arguement countless times since Sitareh, a foal, had mentioned (though not outright) that she looked a bit plump. She needed a second opinion. Which was why she was here. She was seeking out a healer's advice.

It was strange that the great spirits of the world might have allowed Kaiya to cross paths with the pink mare. While she was wise from her years of travel, and knew some minimal healing, she wasn't exactly a conventional sort of healer. Her abilities were enough to aid those in dire straits, as well as keep her alive in a tight spot, but for the most part she was no unicorn. Thankfully, she was laden with experience, and it was for that reason alone her hooves were making their way directly toward Sakura.
Kaiya never knew where she might roam, never much had a schedule or made many plans for her day. The Angeni of Redemption lived a fluid lifestyle, settling no where, and taking the joys and pitfalls of life a day at a time, moment by moment. She did her best not to worry about the future, or regret the past; this moment was the best moment and the only time a soquili ever really had. A religious sort of mare, she let the great spirits guide her, and didn't often question why.
So when a flash of pink stood out amongst the greenery of the surroundings world, Kaiya couldn't help but be curious. Even for local flowers, such a vibrant shade was a rarity. There was a soft sound of bells tickling the air, an unusual trait that a pure angeni was near, and a shuffle of the nearby foliage. It didn't take long for the mare to show herself, though she paused so she might further investigate what she saw.
It didn't surprise her that there was a soquili before her, a lovely alicorn mare made up of several shades of pink and white! Kaiya's headwings flared slightly in surprise, though her gold and silver eyes were bright and warm. "Salutations, stranger," she called out, her voice warm and gentle. Kaiya was far from a shy creature, and always enjoyed meeting others. As far as she believed, the spirits had given her cause to cross Sakura's path. The exact reasons remained unknown.

A warm voice distracted the mare, rising her mind back up to the present like a bubble of air trapped within a calm body of water. Eyes the color of charcoal folded slightly at the corners in a gentle smile, the warmth of a dying fire filling with with a bright light.
Before her stood a peculiar mare. She had the semblance that an artist had been working on two separate projects, both unfinished, and had melded them together into this one sentient being. Her head, neck and front legs, as well as her upper abdomen, were varying shades of gold and white, giving her an almost celestial appearance. Indeed, even her eyes were a shade of white. Only the occasional streak of blue within her mane broke through the grandeur. Yet her rump and hind legs were a cacophony of dark blues and reds, so darkly tinted they appeared almost black. Yet her tail was streaked though with golden strands, a strange symmetry that seemed to unify the mare into one being.
Adding to this strange coloration were two sets of wings rising majestically from her back. With a startle, Sakura realized she must be an Angeni, a race that was said to have come from the very Heavens itself! Yet there was something almost ghostly about the translucent quality of her second pair of wings, which were swathed in bandages; something that seemed almost... sad to the mare.
But the stranger seemed friendly enough, and Sakura happily perked her ears up, forgetting, for the moment, the cause of her frantic mental state. "Greetings, stranger!"

Kaiya was pleased that her presence didn't bring alarm to the pink coated mare before her. While all knew the Angeni were good and pure of heart and spirit, some didn't take kindly to their presence. Others heard rumors and believed them to be uppity or proud and vain race, and were never too happy to see them. To each their own, of course, but Kaiya was glad that the stranger seemed receptive to an audience this day.
Dipping her head low to the ground in greeting, Kaiya gave another warm smile. "I do hope my presence hasn't disturbed you this day. I'm merely passing through, but thought it rude to walk by without greeting." The alicorn before her was such a lovely and unique shade of pink. Pinks upon pink with only the slightest hints of white coloring her wingtips and mane. It always amazed the mare how different soquili could be from one another. This was the first pink mare she'd met, but then again, variety was the spice of life! It would be terribly dull if the world was made up of carbon copies of one or two things. . . .
The real question was why the spirits had set up this meeting. Why were they to meet? What was to come of this visit? Was it just fo kind conversation, a pleasant distraction from her work at hand, or was there something more? Only time would tell. . . .

Arching her neck ever so slightly in a graceful gesture, the mare returned the greeting. "Oh, no! Company is always a pleasure." Her eyes wrinkled deeper into their omnipresent smile, gray shades shimmering away happily. "Ah, but where are my manners?" She rebuked herself, giving her mane a slight shake, sending a couple of the purple flowers scattering off her mane. The lilac blossoms twirled in the air for a moment before settling gently upon the rocky ground. "My name is Sakura. And my familiar, Tinsel, is somewhere nearby." Her gaze drifted off to one side, her brow knitting together in concern for a moment. Usually the hummingbird would always be by her side, but today she had been lagging behind a bit. Though perhaps she was merely enjoying the change in scenery.
The slight nag of worry brought all her concerns flooding back as charcoal orbs fixed upon upon her bulging stomach. "Ah... Actually, I was looking for someone, so I'm quite glad to have met your acquaintance. You see, I don't normally travel here, so I'm quite lost. I was told that a healer resides somewhere in this area?" Yes, seeing this healer was vital. Though she knew a decent amount about healing herself, this particular... area of expertise eluded her. After all, she had not known her mother for more than a few days, and her father had not been around for much longer. Besides, her father could never have taught her all she needed to know about being female. And there was a big chance (or so she hoped), that this issue was to do with pregnancy, a topic her father had never experienced first hand.
The mare forced her muscles to relax from their clenched state, easing the crease that had formed upon her forehead.

Kaiya watched patiently as the mare introduced herself and explained her plight. She was such a young and cheerful sounding mare, it did her heart good to meet one so bubbly as this Sakura. While Kaiya had never begrudged her title or position in life, nor its heavy burden of responsibility, sometimes she did wonder what it might be like to live a life of ease. To enjoy the day without stress or worry or much concern, without having to force oneself in to the world of another and make propositions and offers of redemption. She loved her job and was in love with her work, but it wasn't for those faint of heart or spirit. . . she harbored many a scar, not just physically, but upon her spirit as well.
Still, Kaiya knew that nothing in this world was left to chance. The spirits had drawn her to the pink mares side for reasons that she hoped she may someday discover. And sure enough, it was with little introduction, that she was told of those reasons. A healer! A second glance at the mare found Kaiya curious as to the reasons. The pink alicorn before her didn't look particularly ill of health - her eyes were bright, her figure solid, her conversation pleasant. Given, there could be many a reason for such things - her wings were folded but perhaps there was a torn ligament or ache of the muscle? Perhaps there were hurts or pains that weren't obvious or able to discern? It was even possible she was seeking out a healer for someone other than herself, though she didn't look rushed or in need of one immediately. Curious and curiouser. . . .
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Sakura. I'm Kaiya." She dipped her head cordially, though her smile was still affable and warm. Such a countenance was her usual one; the only time she grew wary or concerned was when she was dealing with particularly aggressive or cruel individuals. But there were a rare few who saw her while she worked, and the majority of random encounters were with pleasant and upbeat individuals.
Tilting her head inquisitively, Kaiya gave a small shake of her head. "Unfortunately for you and I, I to am merely passing through, and this area is foreign to me. I myself am a little bit of a healer, if you don't let my scars deceive you," she added with a small chuckle, knowing full well she often looked a bit of a mess. "Granted I'm no unicorn, but I might be able to assist you?"
