        Captain's Log
        Stardate: 347 ABY

        Captain Josef Harbinger

I remember the day that the Corruo came out of the sky. I remember it's sophisticated weaponry, and I remember the ever-looming threat that seemed to hold the Republic in an iron grip of fear. The Jedi were supposed to fight the Sith, but how could they when the scum appeared out of nowhere with that kind of arsenal?
We fought anyways. What else were we supposed to do? None of us were going to lay down and die, and we certainly weren't going to make it easy for the Sith to start demolishing the republic. So we went on, uphill for most of it, and we thought we were making progress. The Corruo was damaged, too damaged to be anything but an orbital space station, and the Jedi withdrew to Ossus leaving the Republic to be completely independent. Strong.

Then the Brood came. It hit hard and fast, and I can't even say now for sure how it all ended. It seemed that there was hardly even time to think, let alone take the necessary diplomatic measures, so, for the second time in recent history, the Republic was under emergency control of the Grand Chancellor. I remember being thrown into the fight, right beside the Jedi again. The things that we all saw in those days cannot be unseen, and we'll remember them until the day we die. It's over now, but we've got a long way to go.

The new mission: seek out what life is left in those systems that are now gone, and give what aid we can to those that remain. Survive. Brass says that there's a new breed of Sith, or an old one, and they aren't going back to where they came from. All we know for certain is that the Brood is gone, and now that the dust has settled we're seeing double.

Now, as if to complicate matters, we've gotten word that the Black Sun is re-emerging and this time they're not hiding their numbers. Already one of the systems that was devastated by the brood has been converted into a Black Sun system; the Delta Verge. They've got the firepower to protect it too, and with the Hutt's support from Nar Shadaa and the Bounty Hunter's guild falling in line to support the Crime Syndicate we're in for a whole new order.

If we're lucky, they'll kill each other for us.. but I'm not a gambling man; I'll make ready for a fight, instead.

        Storm Holocron

Someone has to remember, has to make sure that someone, anyone, will know what happened. Almost everyone I knew is gone now - Master Kai, Rokumasu, and even Sam. Taran's disappeared, and I don't know if I'll ever see Irella again.. not after Kashyyyk - maybe I'll be next. I won't plan for that future, but I can prepare for it.

So, to whoever is hearing this message, you have to know; It wasn't always like this for us.

The Jedi had a home once, a real home. That place was - is - Tython. On a covert mission, I found it, but just as I did we lost Ossus. The Brood, an extra-galactic parasitic alien life-form, found a foothold in our galaxy. Only one word could describe it's being: Hungry.

It started at Anzat, and it spread quickly at first but Sam, or, as we knew her then, Jaddah, knew how to stop it. She drew it back to Anzat some how, never explaining fully to us what she was doing or how, and we went anyways. The Brood came too, and for a moment everything seemed so dark, and then it stopped. An explosion, and implosion, all at the same time, and then it was all gone. The Brood was gone, the Broodmother and all the things that she had spawned, and Jaddah too.

Ossus is dead now, and I don't think we can bring it back again. All that time, all of the energy and power devoted to the planet through the Meditation chamber, and everything that had started to grow back is dead. The Ysanna are gone too, though it's hard to say if it was the Brood or if they disappeared back to wherever they surfaced from when Master Joelk came here first from Coruscant. Either way, all that's left of the Order is here now, on Tython, and you're a part of that.

Remember that it wasn't always like this, and it won't always be like this, but, for now, this is what we have; our commitment to the light, our strength to persevere, and the pursuit of truth and knowledge even now, in what may be our darkest hour. Even now, we have a role to play and a duty to the rest of the galaxy. There are wounds to heal, lost souls to find, and justice to be served.

We are few, but you are not alone.

May the Force be with you.

        --coded transmission--
        Stardate: 347 ABY

        RE: CLOAK AND DAGGER

This may be the last transmission I am able to send. Things have gotten very dangerous here as of late, even more dangerous than they've always been. I used to walk these halls of the Corruo knowing that there was a possibility of my death, execution as a traitor and a spy, but now I know it's only a matter of time.

To make this report a proper final report, I'll have to start from the beginning.

Things really went to hell around here when Venia disappeared, literally. This woman came out of no where, called herself Darth Ensis, and it wasn't long before she slid into the vacant seat of power. She's the reason that I've sent three transmissions in five years. Her reign began with a crackdown, executions and exiles of any who were not willing to be loyal to her command, and even Admiral Stryfe fit into her pocket in no time.

The new Admiral Cidreau Rice is a hard-a**, and any patience he might have once had got eaten up by whatever issues he had with his predecessor. "Fitting in" has been twice as hard because of him, and three times as difficult with the Sith on edge after the change of authority - both in the Empire's Navy and the Sith Order - now there's a new threat to the Sith.

I'm not talking about the Brood, or lasting effects of that short, would-be invasion. As you must know, the Sith were unaffected by that extra-galactic threat; sitting back and waiting for the aliens to do irreparable damage to the Republic and the Jedi was part of the plan. That it didn't come about that way, do so some unforeseen Jedi hat-trick, wasn't exactly a loss, but it wasn't a victory either. The real trouble is that Venia is back, the former Dark Lady of the Sith, and she wants her throne back.

I heard she had it commissioned for a past lover..

So now, as if one army of force-wielding lunatics wasn't enough, there's double. You may think it's a good thing, they'll kill each other off like they're supposed to, right?

                You're wrong.

These Sith aren't self-destructive. They're smart, cunning, sinister and greedy. They like living far too much to kill each other. My theory is that both Ensis and Venia will hold onto what they have for as long as they have it, digging their pretty nails in deep to the men they command, and neither of them will hesitate to throw whatever they can grab at one another to keep from losing. These two women.. they're going to destroy everything before they see anything in the hands of the other.

It's been five years since I went in, and now there's no where else to go. If this is my last message to you it doesn't matter. You know everything I know, everything I could gather, and what you do with it now is what matters.

May the Force be with us.. whatever that means.
