Hmm... I didn't get to play it. I saw the opening FMV, but that was it. sweatdrop The disc was scratched, so I traded it for FFIX.

I would'nt say old for a FF....

It was good and complicated...but you had to know what you were doing right off the bat or you kinda failed..

VIII was my favorite of the playstation final fantasys. I'm afraid my fave spot overall goes to VI, and always will I'm sure.

Personally I never had any trouble with the juntioning or the battle system. In fact I really liked it, which is no doubt due to my love of micro manegment.

I thought it was pretty good, but not one of my favorites. It was complicated and focused a bit too much on the love story.

Awww I love this one, next to FF7 its my fav final fantasy.....but i couldent stand Rinoa at ALL! I remember my friends and i would spend the night at eachothers house all the time in the summer and play games , ff8 was on the top of our list, it was such a blast, I would have to fight the bosses when one of them played though...since she sucked at magic and summons and got a horribal case of bad luck in boss battles sweatdrop

FF8 is my favourite of the series too.Even though it was really hard for me to get the junction system at all, becuz it was the first playstation game i've ever played i still managed to deal with it.I remember that the first boss-fight that i lost several times was Elvoret(Dollet tower).

I couldn't figure out all the limit break stuff till then.
Another thing i usually debate with ff8 fans is wether it's possible or not to kill X-ATM092.

Believe me,yes!it is possible. It's damn hard though...i reached the shore at 0.02 seconds. The only thing was that the movie where the monster is shot with the cannon wasn't played anymore.
Anyway my all time favourite party was Squall,Zell,Rinoa.I played the limit breaks manually,i especially liked Zell's limit breaks. For my dissappointment since i haven't got the lionheart the first time i've played it through i never got to see Squall's best limit break...becuase of this the best limit break available was Riona's...wishing star - Angelo.I always got hyper when i saw the doggy in action kicking major boss-asses. xd whee .I must admit i didn't finish the game in a fair way...i cheated my Gilgamesh card with my Gameshark...i duplicated the card so i can get more Holy War's...i must say even with holy war's it was not easy to beat Ultimecia. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to beat her.I was relying on the limit breaks so i had to cast Triple and Aura on all before she could make a lethal hit,to be able to make them all invincible and show her my special kicks and slices smile I didn't menage to always do that,so it took a little time to adjust...
Anyway..i tell you guys...that pocketstation thing makes miracles...the second time i played it on PC and i had the option to send the Chocobo to Chocobo world...overwriting the save file made me gather loads of unaccesible valuable items...so i could get my Lionheart at level 20 twisted whee

By the way,i always had a question.Someone should really tell me how the hell the monster named Marlboro is killed...a guide or something...i remember having problems with that mob and always ended up escaping neutral

I have to agree with you on this one.

I usually don't have issues with games that involve love stories. I enjoyed FF9, now didn't I?

It's just..I hate who they paired up for the love story. Squall was cool..Rinoa wasn't. Squall was a callous a*****e. Rinoa was a spoiled, bratty priss.

'unno. I just really hated Rinoa.

In fact, I despise her. stressed

I disliked Final Fantasy VIII. The Junction system tried too hard to be original and only resulted in hours and hours wasted drawing spells and maxing them out to junction stats to them.
