Dreydrop:
"Step one, get lost." Kazu a extremely shy, but friendly lion was pondering what to do today. He wanted to change his timid approach on life, so he started a list of things to accomplish.
"Step two, talk to strangers....only the friendly, nice looking ones." He started to pace back and forth as he went into deep thought.
"Step three..." pausing he stopped in mid-stride, "ummm... I'll come back to that later, first step one." Sitting down he debated on how to get lost. Most people can easily get lost, however Kazu never could. It was like he had a built it compass, so this task was really challenging.
After many failed attempts to get lost: randomly running around, walking backwards, and following a small game trail. Kazu gave up, and pouted in the shade of a nearby tree. "I'll never get lost at this rate."
After a small nap, he suddenly jumped up yelling to no one in perticular, "I got it! I'll just close my eyes!" Suddenly pleased with himself he got up closed his eyes, and walked forward.
Though his exceitment only lasted so much, because before long he was covered from head to toe with fresh bumps and bruises. "Just a little more, then I can open my eyes and I'll be lost." After a while Kaku ran into a soft, assumed to be mossy, rock.
Nuzzling his head against his new discovery he purred. "So soft, feels like heaven"
Snails:
Kyros had gotten lost… again. He couldn't believe it. 'How come it was always him getting lost?' he thought as he wandered around. It had been hours since he had seen something familiar. He wondered how far he had traveled. What angered him was the fact he had just found a nice cosy cave to live in for a little bit. It was hard to find decent vacant caves to sleep in. He let out a sigh as he traveled deeper into the forrest. It began getting dark and damp. Moss covered most of the trees and rocks.
As he walked he noticed a small stream trickling down a mountain. He went over and took a sip. The fresh water was refreshing for the cheetah and he drank more. After finishing his drink he let the water drip on his head. He was so distracted by the water that he failed to hear step behind him. By the time he realized there was something near him it was too late.
Something was rubbing into his backside and it made him feel rather uncomfortable. He turned his head to see what it was. To his surprise it was a white and teal colored lion. The lion had his eyes closed and was purring as he rubbed his head.
"What are you doing?" He said rather harshly, Kyros decided to hold his manners until after the lion stopped rubbing against him. He took a couple steps away from the lion.
Dreydrop:
Noticing his new pillow was suddenly speaking, Kaku raised his head and opened his eyes. Standing before him was a cheetah that he had never seen before. A slightly irritated, and confused cheetah because he just extremely shattered his personal bubble. Slowly backing up he looked for a way to retreat, stumbling as he did.
"I'm so ssssorrrrry," mumbled Kaku. Suddenly he turned around and high tailed it out of there.
Snails:
'Wait… he might know a way out of here!' Kyros realized as the lion ran away. How stupid could he be? The area was not crowded with creatures. What if that lion was the only one around. He could end up being stuck in this forrest. This lion was his only hope, even if he was a bit.. weird.
"Hey! Wait up!" He darted after the lion at top speed. As he ran he noticed a short cut. He took it hoping to gain speed on the lion.
Dreydrop:
Running as fast as his legs could carry him, Kazu started panicking. 'what do i do! He's going to kill me! I'm going to die! I'm going to die!!!'
Taking a daring look behind him he noticed the cheetah had disappeared. Am i that fast a runner? Did he lose sight of me? Am I going to live after all? He started to relax at the thought that he had gotten away.
'I'm safe!' That that was enough for today. He looked around for shelter before he got himself in more trouble. Finding a nice hiding spot just up ahead he dared to look one more time over his shoulder. As he did he stumbled and ran into a nearby tree. 'Today is just not my day!'
Snails:
Kyros ran gracefully through the trees. He came to a sudden halt when he heard something hitting against the three. Quickly he made his way to the sound. He saw the lion he was chasing there. He realized that he must have hit the tree. "Hey mate are you okay? You didn't get too banged up from your…. little accident."
He had a hard time not laughing. The lion was a weird one and he had never know a lion to be such an odd ball. He couldn't help but wonder if the lion was blind. It would explain a lot. "Mister Lion are you blind?" he asked.
He hoped the lion was blind. That would mean that the lion was just as lost as he was. Kyros than realized that the lion might have led him to a familiar place in the forrest. He looked around quickly. Nothing looked familiar, in fact it was quite the opposite. He realized that he was even more lost than before. "Darn it! I'm even more lost!" he yelled to himself.
Dreydrop:
Still dizzy, Kazu struggled to get up on his now wobbly legs only to notice the cheetah had magically appeared in front of him. Without thinking Kazu fell to the ground and played dead.
'Where did he come from! Did he see me?' Panicking Kazu didn't hear the cheetah, but looked for an escape route. Finding none he continued to play dead this time sticking his tongue out. 'Hopefully he'll think i'm dead'
Snails:
Kyros stared at the lion. He had never met a lion like this. Even his friend Aureo wasn't this odd. He wondered if the lion was just mad. "Mister lion? Mister Lion can you here me?" He hoped the lion wasn't blind and deaf. That would cause a lot of problems for him, though it would make sense.
He noticed the lion sticking his tongue out. It brought back memories of playing games with his siblings and how the one who was 'dead' would often stick out their tongue. Realizing what the lion was doing, Kyros rolled his eyes. "Mister Lion, I know you are alive. Stop faking."
Drey:
'He's bluffing right, how could he know i was alive?' Forgetting that he had to lay still Kazu rolled over pondering this question. 'Maybe he's psychic... if he's psychic i need to stop talking to myself' Rolling back over he went into his own little world ignoring everything. 'But I'll get very bored so lets hope he's not psychic.'
Snails:
Kyros stared at the lion. He must be mental, Kyros decided. It would just be best to let him suffer alone in his his craziness. As Kyros went to leave, he forced himself to stop. He looked back at the lion who just rolled back over. It would be horrible to leave such a poor helpless creature alone. What if someone like his brother came along and started picking on the poor lion. Kyros let out a loud sigh and walked back to the lion.
"Mister Lion I can not leave your side until I know you are safe from harm. I understand that might be difficult considering the state you are in, however some how we are going to make it threw this and you, my crazy little friend will be safe and sound. Maybe on our way we will find someone who can show me the way out of this forest."
Dreydrop
"I can get us out." Rolling back over he faced the cheetah once again, but this time opening his eyes. "It would only take about... i don't know ten minutes to get out of this forest, and to a major traveled trail." Slowly getting up he headed off towards his unseen destination without looking back to see if the cheetah followed. "come on, this way."
Snails:
Kyros couldn't believe it. If he wasn't sure before he was sure now. This lion was indeed crazy. He hesitated before following the lion. "Mister Lion do you think you might be able to tell me why you were pretending to be dead and why you our now helping me?" He was careful not to ask if the lion was crazy, after all he did not want to offend his only way out of the forest. "My name is Kyros-Laetrus by the way, but you may call me Kyros."
Dreydrop
" Well I thought you were going to kill me for one. And two, since you haven't i might as well help you out of here before it gets dark." Glancing at the sky he judged how fast the light was fading. "By the way my name is Kazuhiko, but you may call me Kazu." Ducking under a nearby tree Kazu stopped and turned to Kyros. "Just to warn you ahead of time I may seem a bit strange. I've been known to jump from one mood to the other, and can be a bit scatterbrained." Moving forward once more, he stumbled over a rock and rolled down a small incline. "And extremely clumsy, but at least we found the main trail." Not knowing if he wanted to brag or be embarrassed because he had rolled down the incline to get there.
Snails:
Kyros laughed. "Well I agree. We should get out of here before it gets dark. I promise I won't kill you while we help each other out." He said with a grin. The lion was an odd one, but Kyros was sure that they would get along just fine. During his travels he had met many odd animals in the rogue land. Knowing one more wouldn't hurt.
He was quick to follow the stumbling lion. He wanted to laugh, but held it in and instead helped the lion up. "We should get going before it gets too late. I am sure we can find shelter further up the path. Follow me!" He darted a head, keeping at a pace he thought the lion could keep up at. He wondered what sort of adventures he would get into with his new friend.
